Blind Items Revealed #2

October 24, 2018

This movie studio went so far as to throw around some "junkets" to a couple of their favorite trades to see if they could come out of the gate with stellar reviews about this new biopic being released. Not even with that money being thrown around could they get anything close to a positive review for the new movie about a singer.

    1. @notthisagain, Do you think there’s any chance that the article got pulled? He started denying the contents weeks ago. Any chance Esquire caved to his lawyers?

    2. My guess is they got served with legal papers so pulled the story - for now.

  3. I was watching some old Queen footage on line last night. Besides the whole Singer situation, who would wanna see this movie anyway when you still have easy access to the real deal on line? And the whole thing about white-washing his sexuality? Just no.

  4. Esquire is like a closeted magazine, just come out already!

  5. I agree with Aquagirl

Also wasn't another A+ celeb male supposed to be exposed by this same Esquire issue? I remember that being alluded to on here not long ago...

  6. @Kitty: Are you thinking about Hugh Jackman? There was a blind about him recently but can’t recall if it was related to the Esquire article.

  7. @kitty

Hugh Jackman is the A+ actor exposed in the article, along with Glee’s Matthew Morrison

a rapist is going to have the #1 movie in the US this weekend. Sick

  8. Hasn't there been several articles about several different people that mysteriously disappeared, threats of lawsuits, exchanging stories. This was very specific, though, not just hinted at.

  9. @Not after you asked about the Singer story yesterday, I went looking online. Singer never said when the article was coming out he thought it would be "around" the time the movie came out. I couldnt find anything from Esquire even acknowledging the story, so its Singer saying something that could be b.s. Magazines are usually put on sale Tuesdays and Thursdays and put online about the same time.

  10. Hugh Jackman, yeah. Thanks aquagirl and notthisagain for filling in those blanks for me.

This is my first REAL commenting (besides a your turn), but I've been reading around for a few months. I got started on here from the Himmm blind about Dan Schneider lol

  11. Instead of going to the film, watch a Queen Concert and a documentary on your giant Tv,and spend the money you saved on some good takeout. Don't let it be #1, at least.

  12. @Aquagirl & Guesser

    +1000!

Why do we need a movie about Mercury that gives us nothing new? We have his performances to watch, we don't need some millennial darling reinterpreting for us, thanks. Mercury is already out there for everyone to enjoy.

  13. Never mind all that, but does anyone know an Indonesian casino site that I can bombard with some amazing quotes?

I'm at my wit's end wondering where I could possibly find such things.

  14. Well Jimmy Fallon said the movie was FANTASTIC!

  15. The best Queen performance EVER was Live Aid they blew away every, single act at Wembley watch it on YouTube. Eff the movie, it's trash.

    ReplyDelete
  16. @Sandy. Yeah that was a hell of a performance, but blowing away the opposition at Live Aid isn't exactly a high bar you hurdle. Everyone else -bar Bowie - sucked balls. If it wasnt for Quenn (& Bowie) then the whole thing would have been long forgotten.

  17. Christ,my fat fingers are wreaking fucken havoc today.

Its 'to' not 'you' and 'Queen' not 'Quenn', obviously.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Maybe so @Bastard but he really stepped it up for his 1/2 hour. By then I'd really had enough of Queen too. Not much hard rock a lot of performane showcase.

  19. @Sandy, I believe they were only meant to get 15 mins but had said they would only do the gig if they could bring in their own sound guys and Freddie just ignored the frantic signalling for them to come off when their time was up.
I can't recall who followed them but imagine standing there waiting to go on while watching that. Id've just gone home.

  20. Just googled, it was the Jagger)Bowie 'Dancing in the Streets' video which debuted after Queen, then Simple Minds, who can barely reach 'dog shit' level on their best day. I reckon that I could blow off Simple Minds by playing "the Sash My Father Wore" on a recorder and a tambourine strapped to my knee.

  21. I was at Live Aid in London and recall having a very good time and seeing some amazing performances, including Queen, U2, Elvis Costello and a great band nobody remembers called Status Quo.

I'm sure it's cool and hip to throw garbage at Live Aid now, but at the time it was a magical and wonderful event.

  22. I don't know about cool and hip, but it's certainly a curious mind that would seek to evaluate whether or not Live Aid was a well executed idea or something that did more harm than good for the intended poors. It was and continues to give fraudulent philanthropic type credibility to Geldof bono et al. I'm sure it was a lovely concert tho.

  23. I remember Status Quo. They were good!

    ReplyDelete
  24. @lonelybastard lol you might not like Simple Minds, but...you didn’t forget about them

  25. They always have junkets, I used to write on film, so I’m not sure what the point of this blind is.

    ReplyDelete
  26. It deserves to flop. They also straight washed the hell out of it. Anyways , Fox News has a story up about how Hugh Jackman is good friends with Ivanka Trump and her hubby, kushner . You know, Hugh , the one enty heavily implies is a total fraud who uses his false family guy veneer to use young men ? Yes that Hugh Jackman, good friend of Brian Singer ( and trumpies fave daughter too!) . So many good buddies everywhere. So if you ever wonder why zero percent of these abusers and pedos are facing any consequences ..... just remember it really does pay to have friends in high places. Oh unless of course youre black like Bill Cosby. Then you'll go to jail.

    ReplyDelete
  27. "And the whole thing about white-washing his sexuality? " Well then there was really no point making the movie if it isn't honest and worse boring.

And hey it took decades to put Cosby in jail. He had cover for decades.

  28. It just won a Golden Globe or two
