Blind Item #8
A few weeks ago, I told you this foreign born A+ list mostly movie actress in her own country was fine. The B/B- list actress here was going to have to pay penance with a new sponsor. Meanwhile, her old sponsor is now dead or at least headed that way because of his massive theft from people higher than him on the government ladder.

DeleteLOL I am sorry but bingbing is slang for penis is some Latin Caribbean countries so every time I read her name I get such a chuckle, penis fan LOL
ReplyDeleteNo one steals from Emperor Xi!
ReplyDeleteBig difference between dead and "headed that way". Crazy how many people try and get away with tax evasion, if you dont have every connection in the book, why bother?

ReplyDeleteWhen I studied Mandarin my assigned name was San TingTing so everyone else in class would always use me as an example on their projects because they loved saying the name hahaha
@ophelia
ReplyDeleteThat's pretty funny. How did they come up with assigned names?
@Jimbonius I'm not really sure haha I think it translated to graceful mulberry bush...
ReplyDelete@ ophelia
ReplyDeleteI guess there are worse things to be named after 😂
Protip: when you see a Chinese official arrested and jailed (or worse) for corruption, it's because he's lost a factional dispute within the communist party.
ReplyDeleteFan Bing Bing is the A+ lister who just got hit with a ginormous tax bill.
ReplyDeleteI like the Bai Ling guess. I don't know any other top Chinese female actors though.
Agree with MattDaddy. With the cadres of the CCP, first you fall out of favor with the Party, then you get arrested for corruption.
