We are 25 minutes from the I35 corridor that runs from Canada to Mexico, major drug trafficking around here. On a slightly different note, we’ve had a rash of weirdness in this area. In the space of one week a guy drowned, a young man jumped off some falls and killed him self, a young kid fell off different cliffs and is in serious condition, the Closs murders, and a mentally ill 19yo disappeared after dropping off friends. Anytime I read that people can't fathom this or that from who or whom, I have to laugh, in a sad kind of way, when it comes to murder and other such atrocities, without getting too graphic. It takes all kinds and sometimes it's the last person you'd suspect of being capable of horrific crimes. Feelings you might have, have nothing to do with psychosis. Psychotics, borderlines and even narcissists/sociopaths, have spent their lives learning how to assimilate and appear to have empathy. They master all of it.
