Blind Item #5

This former A+ list singer just needs to go to rehab. This is getting ridiculous. People are spending a lot of money to see you and just because you are a drunk (No Bethenny half truths here) with low ticket sales doesn't mean you can just cancel shows willy nilly.

    1. Yup

As soon as I saw her IG post, I immediately expected there’d be a blind today.

Better not be Xtina because I'm seeing this ho tomorrow and if she cancels I'll die

    1. Bwahaha. I’d rather see a drunk Xtina than most of the lip syncers who falsely call themselves performers, any day. In fact, a drunk Xtina would probably be more interesting than a sober one.

  4. What's going on with the insurers of these concerts? Won't they tire of being screwed and eventually start writing policies that penalize the performers?

Even if money is given back to the ticket holders, a lot of money is laid out to secure and prep the venues.

  5. What’s the Bethenny reference?

Insurers? I don't think you understand how the concert industry works.

The money "laid out to prep the venue" is by the promoter. And they usually have clauses in the contracts they sign with the artist/management that cover contingencies like this. Insurance? LOL. Yeah, no. The outcome will be lawsuits and whoever this is never being able to work with those promoters again.

The whole "safety concerns" by CA, in the article above? If the story is accurate, that's her management trying to use a safety angle to get out of paying the advance/guarantee, because how it usually works is, if you just decide to not show up for a gig, the promoter can sue you for the costs and get their guarantee back. This is years of litigation, if this is true. She's screwed.

I only know about the Kanye battle with insurers over his Pablo tour, that is true. Thanks for spelling all this out. Interesting. Xtina might as well hang it up.

  8. @Marlin it's a Real Housewives of NY reference. Bethenny called Dorinda a drunk on camera last season. Which, based on Dorinda's behavior was valid, but now Bethenny is trying to backtrack and is saying she said "You're drunk" instead of "You're A drunk." Sad that I know this, but yeah.

  10. Xtina who? Are we so devoid of new talent we must resurrect the revenants of previous stars?

  11. @unknown...I think @plot is referring to performance bonds.
