At this point, promoters are being a little shy about booking this A list singer. When that starts, it can turn into a wave. Too many cancellations they know are drug related. No one wants to take a chance on paying her huge fee and then her canceling at the last minute.
Good. Give the gigs to some better person.

ReplyDeleteThose promoters should understand that people who are dealing with anxiety/traumas/etc. are human beings and all. Yes, I know that they are paying the fee and do not want to lose that money. However they need to understand/know what anxiety/traumas can do to people. It is not for fun that they cancel performances and all. These sort of things just cannot go away easily or pushed aside for one or two days. Only maybe with good therapy, rest, etc. No one is safe for anxiety or traumas. It can happen to everyone. If you know what I mean.
If someone has anxiety issues that bad, they shouldn't be trying to work as a performer, and their people shouldn't be booking shows until that person is stable enough to take on the task.
ReplyDeleteAmen... so uncomfortable all the times Ariana has canceled recently. And they blame it on Mac’s passing.. I call BS on that. She seems fine on her social media and stuff. I’m starting to think the more bipolar route honestly on top of the drugs cause on her social media she’ll cry one day and be all depressed then be fine in 2 days and super happy seeming.. she keeps dipping in and out and it seems really unhealthy that she’s with Pete Davidson/ trying to pretend she’s okay and booking all these shows when she’s clearly not

As much as Enty claims she was ‘good at playing the game’, it’s still gotta be buried deep within that you had to get it on with a fat sweaty pedo. Add that to a little drug dependency, a death of someone you loved and a stage 5 clinger boyfriend, yikes, even I’m feeling like a little something to get me thru the day just reading all that.

Anyone remember Tracy Chapman? She would get horrible performance anxiety and was very very shy. She recorded a great album but was almost incapable of touring. No surprise her career stalled and died.
Tracy Chapman was the commencement speaker at my brother's college graduation. I had no clue she had social anxiety issues. She seemed well spoken, albeit rather brief. I kept praying she would break out in song.

Nicki Minaj tried to sample Tracy Chapman for her last album (which desperately needed a Tracy Chapman sample to try to make something on it stand out) but Tracy Chapman was like ummmmmm, no. Good for her.
