Blind Item #15

Hoping that drink that looked a whole lot like vodka and soda last night was just the soda because this A+/A list singer is pregnant.

  1. Carrie's already announced she's pregnant & doesn't seem the type...Katy Perry is in the DM today

But with all the blinds about her coke use that would be very messed up

  2. what about miley cyrus?

  3. Gaga's engaged? Maybe her?

    1. She’s be described as actress too

  4. would Enty have dropped the actress identifier for Gaga and Miley?

  5. Maybe to make it less obvious. Anyway he's been calling Katy nearly Permanent A list lately so this shouldn't be her based on ranking. He could be ready to move Gaga up to A+ again based on the movie.

  6. sounds to me like Gaga

  7. How can something look like vodka and soda when vodka is clear? Sounds like bullshit

    ReplyDelete
  8. vodka and sprite...

  9. Maybe Enty got close enough to taste it himself?

  10. @bug, Vodka + Soda usually means club soda, both are clear

    ReplyDelete
  11. I think bug is making a valid point that there's no way to discern just a soda from a vodka soda just by looking so this is all speculation on Enty's part...

common trick I've used when friends drag me out & I can't drink due to medication/being sick/just not feeling it so I don't have to repeat the explanation of why I'm not actually drinking.

  12. soda in this context is soda water, not cola.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hopefully it was just a club soda, time will tell.

  14. A lemon or lime in it would make a soda look like a vodka and soda.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Yeah I'll admit I thought soda just meant any fizzy drink. But doesn't the fact that it's also clear kinda just prove my point? Sounds like Enty is just trying to squeeze 1 more blind out of his arse to reach that #15

  16. Basically anything clear can look like the vodka and vice versa, that's the beauty of vodka.

  17. Agree with @Green Tea. There are a few indicators that might lead an observer to believe that we are dealing with a cocktail rather than a soft drink, including a straw, a lemon or lime wedge, stemware, etc.

    ReplyDelete
  18. @Green Tea

Every time I order sparkling water, I'm asked if I want lime or lemon with it.

Straws come in everything now. Much is also served in stemware.

  22. Unless someone at the table next to hers heard her order a Vodka & Tonic, it's just some more fake news. When she was in college, my daughter worked in an upscale bar. She got fired because she refused to bring an alcoholic drink to an obviously pregnant woman, even though her husband said it was OK. Evidently, Jessa stood at the table ten minutes lecturing the bitch and her p---- husband about the dangers of drinking during pregnancy. Indignant, they demanded she be fired. And she was. The world is full of awful people who only think of themselves.

Speaking of the world, I went out an hour ago to get groceries and Broadway & 158th St. was full of squad cars, cops and barricades. A small group of neighborhood kids were in line in front of the new-ish athletic store. Trump wouldn't have that many cops out for protection. Asked one of them what gives and he said, rolling his eyes, "P Diddy is coming to sign some clothes and stuff." Nice to see Puffy is still relevant to the young-ins.

  23. Yeah, Gee and Amazing Quotes have been strangely absent of late.

  24. Boo, your daughter deserved to be fired. It's one thing to refuse to bring the woman alcohol (even though plenty of doctors say an occasional drink shouldn't do any harm), but to follow it up with a 10 minute lecture? I'd demand that your pushy bitch of a daughter be fired too. You should have raised her to mind her own f-ing business.

  25. I'm not sure it's a servers job to tell anyone what and what they can't drink.

  26. *they can and cannot*"once again Gboard go fuck yourself

  27. So proud of her. She wasn't raised in any religion, so I can't blame the church.

I'm going with Hilary Duff just to be different.

  30. Agreed. Any server who thinks they have moral authority over their customers deserves to be fired. She isn't their fucking doctor or priest.

It's pretty well known that a glass of wine occasionally during pregnancy isn't going to effect the child adversely.

  31. Gotta say Boo that is some messed up shiz. What kind of person lectures people they're supposed to be waiting on? I'm glad she was fired. Hopefully, her boss gave her a lecture about professionalism & minding her own business first.

Don't even get me started on, "...even though her husband said it was ok". Clearly the apple doesn't fall far.

  32. Your daughter deserved to be fired for being the suck ass bitch she was.

  33. According to Enty’s recent blinds... from the week of the AMAs... it’s Camila Cabello... damn how quickly people forget these rumors lol I think Enty might even forget what he made up last week

    ReplyDelete
  34. I think the point has been made. There’s no need to call anyone’s daughter a bitch. Especially not a lady in her 70’s with health problems. Boo’s daughter was fired, so received the message loud and clear. End of. No need for anyone to name call.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Boo, seems you raised your daughter in your own highly self-important, sanctimonious, and super annoying me-me-me-listen-to-MEEEEEE- MYSELF - AND - I - image....

  36. When MIA was preggo (before paper planes hit). She was still performing. I was bartending after her show when she walked up to the bar. She asked for a soda water & that was it. No point to this post but yeah...I was afraid that she would have asked for booze but none the less I would have given it to her...none of my business.

    ReplyDelete
  37. @ Boo - I understand you daughter’s concern, but she should have quit before serving the drink, not lectured the woman. This is about bodily autonomy and your daughter’s actions are as wrong as the pharmacist who refuses to give a customer the morning after pill because of his/her beliefs.

  38. I am still trying to figure out how vodka and soda looks different from just soda.

  39. Y’all LEAVE BOO ALONE!!!
SMH! No respect for your elders!

Get off my lawn and don’t a come Trick or Treating, you damn teenagers!

  40. Boo's daughter hopefully made the woman actually think about the welfare of her baby.
Why am I not surprised at the overly offensive comments toward Boo's daughter. Most establishments won't serve pregnant woman alcohol. Where the hell are you people from?

  41. Mary Lamb:

Italy is a country with some of the oldest people in the world, and the healthiest populations and pregnant women do drink wine from time to time.

Every culture has different opinions as to what a pregnant woman is allowed or not allowed to eat and/or drink. In the US unpasteurised cheeses are ILLEGAL, while in France pregnant women eat them all the time. In Japan pregnant women eat raw fish and in Scandinavian countries they drink beer. Many doctors advise against eating salad because the leaves are never properly washed.

The issue is the following, and I understand why your simple mind hasn't understood this yet: we do not live in a fascist society. A waitress can not decided what a pregnant woman should drink at a bar, because this is a precedent that will snowball into an avalanche: where do you draw the line? First Boo's self-righteous arrogant daughter gives a stranger a mini lecture, and next she'll denounce her to child services? Can a cheese monger take the liberty to tell a pregnant woman what to eat? Can a supermarket deny the sale of bagged salad to pregnant women?
If you see a parent with a child on a bike who isn't wearing a helmet, will you call the police?
How about if you see a grandparent taking their grandchildren to church on Sundays, and you disagree with religious indoctrination? What about if you see a small kid with a large sized soda drink at McDonalds? Or a fat kid in your child's class who only eats garbage? Will you call authorities on his parents?

Freedom and liberty are paramount in western society. And if some people do not understand this, then they should fuck off and live somewhere else. Or dream of Nazi Germany coming back.

  42. Boo - your daughter deserved to be fired.

By your own words, "some people only think of themselves" and yes, your daughter was only thinking of HER values and HER beliefs as she believes they apply to others, which they do not.

Hope she learned her lesson early.

  43. @lutefisk—it doesn’t, but I have to say, I found this blind to be a very helpful reminder 😊. I usually only drink 🍷 or 🍺, but used to drink vodka/soda in college. Unfortunately, I have a family member who I love very much who is quite ill. Her condition went drastically downhill this week. We live in different states, so I planned to go see her this weekend. I literally have been having anxiety attacks about seeing her dramatic decline & my biggest fear was that I would cry & she needs my strength and my love, not my tears. But it’s gotten so bad that I haven’t been able to sleep the past few nites. (Part of this probably also has to do with the fact that someone who was like a second father to me died recently, so it’s been a year of loss.) Anyway, I remembered this blind & decided at the last minute to bring a vodka and soda with me. Just bought a bottle of seltzer and 2 mini cucumber absolutes & shook it up. It worked. She was thrilled to see me, I was able to make her laugh and smile and I did not cry! And, no, I’m not pregnant. Sorry for the TMI, but this blind really helped me which has never happened before.

  44. We don’t really know the circumstances here. Maybe the woman had already been drinking a lot of alcohol, maybe she was high and wasted. Maybe drinking alcohol while pregnant is a particular trigger for the server. We’re always jumping on celebrities for their behaviour, saying ‘why didn’t anyone say anything’ or ‘why didn’t someone step in?’ Well rightly or wrongly Boo’s daughter actually had the balls to say something. I don’t agree with lecturing the woman, especially if it was a one off drink. It would’ve been more appropriate to go back to the bar and request that someone else serve the customer to avoid any drama. However, Boo’s daughter was disciplined to the fullest extent. So hopefully it was a learning experience.

  45. @Aquagirl, so sorry for what you are going through right now. I am glad you were able to spend enjoyable time with your family member. I am not a drinker but sometimes a small amount of alcohol helps in certain situations. You never know what someone is going through and what they may need to soothe them.
My son is type 1 diabetic. So many times people watch him eat and start telling him if he is diabetic he shouldn't be eating as many carbs as he does. He can eat anything as long as it is covered by insulin. They all think that they are medical experts. Do you know what it is like trying to explain to people that he knows what he can and can not eat, and watching him get upset over his meals? Sometimes it is best for someone to mind their own business.
My daughter got married this past August. Her signature drink was a mojito. He had virgin mojitos. Thankfully no one lectured him on the dangers of being diabetic and drinking. By the way, a virgin mojito looks exactly like a regular mojito.

  46. @Depeche

To add, vegetables in Europe are raised in sandy soils that are full of Toxoplasmosis. The same is found in soiled US kitty litter which we warn pregnant women to avoid. So European women are warned to stay away from salad and all raw vegetables. Should their waiters intervene if a pregnant woman orders a salad?

What's funny is I agree with what you said, however, just as there was no need for your childish 'simple mind' barb, the overly aggressive comments towards Boo's daughter and her parenting were unnecessary and suggest a curious defensiveness.
This isn't a case before the supreme court.
First, the kid was young and in college and it was an alcoholic 'drink', which at first assumption wouldn't be a beer or wine but liquor.
See the well thought out comment by @Sal T. We don't know the circumstances. There's a reason signs are placed behind the bar warning the dangers of alcohol consumption by pregnant women.

  48. @marylamb yes, you don’t know the circumstances and that is why you let adults make their own decisions. Too many people are eager to jump to conclusions and even lecture adults they don’t even know. FOH with that BS
