Blind Item #11

She seems like a big movie star because of that franchise she had. The thing is though, if her new movie is a bomb, this A- list mostly movie actress/celebrity offspring is going to start getting shut out of the good roles.

  1. Could be Rooney Mara if the Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is considered a franchise

    1. Rooney Mara isn’t in the latest The Girl With The... movie though, that’s Claire Foy.

  2. thats true -not a traditional celeb offspring but Daddio or Grandadsionis rich and famous

  3. Yeah he's half owner of the Giants.

  4. I think it is Dakota, as well. I think she would def be considered more of a "big movie star". Well, by some anyway.

  5. Thank god. DJ bugs the crap outta me.

  6. I’m sure this is Dakota because Suspiria releases soon.

  7. Dakota Johnson, for sure, because of Susperia and that El Royale didn't exactly break the box office last weekend which is all that really matters nowadays.

Dakota has gotten really good reviews from critics for both movies, I'm sure she'll be fine.

    1. The movie hasn’t though especially at Venice. Many people thought it was boring and she wasn’t in it enough

    2. Yeah, definitely penalize her for not being in it enough.

  9. she should exploit the Coldplay si ver relationship for more fame and attention, then, becaus the Suspiria film looks boring as hell and unlikely a success. Good ratings but nothing exciting 77/100
the motel film looks more promising

  10. Isn't this the case with any actor or actress?

A couple of bombs and its Hallmark Channel or infommercials for the forseeable future. If they're lucky.

Unless, of course, they know the right dicks to suck.

  11. Suspiria looks like it's gonna bomb. Dakota is so bland and uninteresting. Bet she faked those pregnancy rumors to stir up convo about her so she has something to talk about while promoting. Out of all the cast, Tilda Swinton is the most interesting because she's talented and smart but her appeal is esoteric.

  12. Terrible actress....sorry

  13. Everyone here who is trashing Dakota Johnson’s acting apparently didn’t read Suspiria s’reviews .She is praised for her acting

    1. The people who have actually seen her movies are able to judge it... if they don’t like it they don’t like it. The movie overall was trashed by many people who saw it. The blind says if it’s not successful at the box office it will hurt her career

  14. I guess I'm the only one who finds her endearing. She is nothing like the entitled offspring of other celebrities, and with 2 A list addicts for parents, that's saying something. But does it ever occur to these celebspawn to take acting lessons? Oh,or course not.

  15. I think she was boring in 50 shades but the character she was playing was written to be incredibly boring so that might actually be good acting! haha after seeing blinds on here about how growing up with MG as a mom was for her I'm also sort of endeared to her & think she seems sweet

  16. Rooney Mara's mother comes from the Pittsburgh Steelers Rooneys, who she was named after. Steelers on one side of the family, Giants on the other.

  17. @Guesser

Nope, I like her too. She is surprisingly "real" on the talk shows I've seen, very grounded, very sweet. It's a wonder how that happened but Rosie O'Donnell used to talk about what an amazing mother Melanie was, so that might be it (if one trusts Rosie on anything like parenting.)

  18. Suspiria is nothing more than a fanboy remake of an "important" cult movie. The original was good, but it's kind of slow. It's going to get good reviews because all of the young film dorks/critics who think the original is a masterpiece. "Psychomania" is a much better occult piece.

  19. I feel like the actress would be described more like 'from an acting family' if it was Dakota Johnson seeing that Melanie Griffith, Don Johnson AND Tippi Hedren are all in her family.

  20. Never understood Dakota's appeal. She has a wonky hairline and a face like one of those rubber sex dolls that didn't get painted right on the assembly line. Not that it should be about her looks... no. She sadly didn't inherit any of her parent's talent.

  21. She seems to fit very well in that chick flick genre, good enough for people to empathize with.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Do chick flicks even exist anymore?

    ReplyDelete
  23. @Plot- given my coworker’s reaction when I asked if she enjoyed the movie, I’d say A Star Is Born is pretty chick flicky. She was breathless and swoony and soooo excited to dish, to the point I regretted asking.

  24. She looks older than her age and is boring. Would she even get roles without having famous parents?

    ReplyDelete
  25. I wasn't a fan of her from the Fifty Shades trilogy but she's very good in El Royale.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Well ..Harvey's not around to couch them..it's time to get some real talent and pull their own weight

    ReplyDelete
  27. @Heather

You are entirely correct! Men aren't going to be attending ASIB unless their gfs and wives want to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Bad Times at the El Royale is actually a very good movie & DJ is pretty decent in it. The box office performance is unfortunate. Should’ve opened in February

    ReplyDelete
  29. I'm pretty sure a lot of gay men will watch ASIB, Plot.

  30. Forget about Dakota.. what's the gossip on Jamie Dornan?? Lol( beside his wife being pregnant again)

    ReplyDelete
  31. @NAT Enty doesn't have any blinds on Dornan anymore, he's a changed man. Don't you know he and his wife has only had 1 fight in 9 years (rolls eyes) Believe me if Dornan is getting jobs, Dakota will be just fine!

    ReplyDelete
  32. @Sandybrook and Tricia... Rooney Mara's paternal great-grandfather started the Giants, maternal great-grandfather started the Steelers, family still involved w/Giants franchise (IDK re the
Steelers) so yeah, her family is rich AF...

    ReplyDelete
  33. @Kiki the fact that Jamie mentions more about his wife in interviews, then what ever movie he is promoting. Is enough to investigate.. plus Jamie was just promoting Boss in the same hotel Dakota was staying in..
