This foreign born superhero is sweating bullets that two of his exes are going to spill what they know about his sex life. He needs the superhero gig. He should also be worried about this A- list mostly movie actor from an acting family who wants to be a superhero and is talking smack about him behind the scenes because the A- lister thinks the superhero is the easiest to replace.
Henry Cavill/Jake Gyllenhaal

Whatever, Jake Gyllenhaal peaked with Donnie Darko.
ReplyDeleteWell, he is going to be in Spider-Man far from home. Let's see your resume.
DeleteIsn't Jakey playing Mysterio in the new SpiderMan movie? And wouldn't that disqualify him from a DC job?
ReplyDeleteJake is a great actor, he doesn't strike me as a super hero type but I bet he would pull it off great.
ReplyDeleteJG as SM? Just no.
ReplyDeleteSandy, JK Simmons played J Jonah Jameson in Maguire's Spider-Man franchise and Commissioner Gorden in Justice League. So I'm not really sure what your point is...?
ReplyDelete@John I may be wrong - but I don't think that would have been as big of a deal because the MCU wasn't nearly what it is now during Maguire's tenure
ReplyDeleteToby Maguire's Spiderman was also when Sony owned the rights to the series and it was not part of the MCU. Therefore, if JK Simmons wouldn't have violated anything by working with DC too. Now if he were to work with Marvel in the future, that may be something else, but all the prior Spidermans before Homecoming aren't Disney property. At least that's my understanding.
ReplyDeleteJake is an old looking closeted Toothy Tile whore. Chimney smoking bundle of nerves.
ReplyDeleteIf they can make Lando Calrissian, one of the coolest cats ever, into a pansexual joke, don't bet against them casting a kinda weird-looking skinny guy like Jake G. as Superman. It would subvert expectations.
ReplyDeleteNot totally feeling this one. Jakey may delude himself that he could be the next Supes, but he is far too old for the job. Also H-Cav might be greedy for more $ but he doesn't NEED it. His family are LOADED to the max. I suspect he's also greedy for Bond.
ReplyDeleteNo way Jake ever has a shot at that role.
ReplyDeleteThe whole DC thing comes crashing down after Aquaman anyway. Full universe reboot next year.
Why the need for the re-reveal??
ReplyDeleteYou guys think Cavill fucked someone Enty wanted to diddle and broke his little heart?
ReplyDeleteI mean compared to the rest of the shit everyone else this site reports on, the things he accuses Cavill of are pretty tame and most are really reaching out there to cause outrage.
Okay F all you guys! I love me some Jakey. Gay? Who cares, stop raining on my fantasy parade. Also, HELLLLLOOOO, don't you all remember Jake's boxing movie? I believe it was called South Paw? Good movie. He was ALLLL HULKED out. Trust me, when the boy wants to roid up, he can do it. Link below to see him ragin'.
ReplyDeleteI don't see Jake as Supes, the blind is old, he's moved on to other things.
Sorry, here's the link:
ReplyDeleteJake Ragin'
Superman needs a square jaw. Jake has a pillow jaw
ReplyDeleteJake G. is a good actor, but NOBODY is going to pay good money to see his old, skinny ass in tights.
ReplyDeleteI totally forgot about this blind- I think Enty brought it back up because of Cavill being dropped, although I agree, Jake can act really well but he doesn't look like a Superman to me; maybe Nightwing?
ReplyDeleteBubble boy
ReplyDelete@Sandybrook There've been at least a couple actors to move between DC and Marvel superhero roles. Probably most successfully, Ryan Reynolds.
ReplyDeleteAlso, off the top of my head Neal McDonough (who is criminally underappreciated, imho) is in the Captain America film (and Agent Carter) and plays a recurring role in the DC TV shows (Arrow, Legends etc.) Not a lead role in either case, but shows it's possible. There are probably others.
Jake should play somebody offbeat, like Deadman.
ReplyDeleteEveryone mentioned is too old for the parts if they are trying to bridge this to the next demographic.
ReplyDeleteToothy did bulk up for prince of persia as well. Unlike cavill, a really good actor but i suspect batman might be a more suitable gig.
ReplyDeleteIs Geoff Johns feeding you this?
