It is no accident that this A- list mostly movie actress is making sure stories about her helping out an ex are being released almost every day. There is a movie coming out very soon and this is being used as talking points for interviews to get maximum attention on her.

Peppermint still will bomb - sorry Jen
ReplyDeleteThe early teaser trailer for Peppermint, which played incessantly on YouTube for what seemed like months always creeped me out. Especially when Garner says, "My little girl...has peppermint in her blood."
ReplyDeleteWhat the heck does that even mean? I keep hoping a YouTube doctor will do a video on what would happen if someone had peppermint in their blood.
Just maybe as a devout woman she cares just a little about her long time husband and father of her children Entern? After all her religion teaches forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure she put up with enough of his sh!t over the years to earn a little buzz for whatever little movie she has coming out.
ReplyDeleteGarner could single-handedly save 1,000 orphans from drug addiction and that movie would still flop. No amount of good publicity can make a terrible movie into a good movie.
ReplyDeleteshe seems like a nice woman but her movie career has been nothing but flops
ReplyDeleteShe is totally an arch political strategist and Ben is useless up againta those skills. He is her pawn.
ReplyDeleteThen nannies must be his rooks.
ReplyDelete'Tis such a pity she's been typecast as the kickass heroine, because it's not a role that ages well and "Peppermint" looks terrible.
ReplyDeleteDidn't we just have a bad "Death Wish" remake from the despicable misanthropic leech Eli Roth earlier this year, starring a shadow-of-his-former-self Bruce Willis? Now we get a female Punisher-type genre picture from some French action auteur with an increasingly haggard and alarmingly masculine looking former ingenue who was once innately girlish and bright as a button?
That's a sad tale to watch, and I won't, any more than I will watch her nightmare new HBO series with the evil succubus of faux feminism who shall not be named.
I like her, but seeing the trailer it doesn't really seem she's suited for the role. Her personality just *seems* to nice to be so "kick ass", feels forced.
ReplyDeleteI know someone who wants to see it, so I hope it's not terrible.
@Super Comic I thought that peppermint line came off odd as well.
Haven't seen anything about this Peppermint, but two things:
ReplyDelete1. She was pretty kick-ass in Alias, so it's ludicrous to say she can't be that in this movie, and
2. Jennifer Garner doesn't even remotely seem like a nice person.
To you maybe not, but outside of any dirt people might have on her, she just doesn't sell "bad ass" to me.
DeleteIt's only my opinion, it's fine if you don't agree, but I have seen the trailer (several times). I'm not buying her in the role. The acting seems off.
Like I said, hopefully it turns out well, just not something I find looks that great.
Jennifer Garner treats her personal assistants like GOLD.
ReplyDeleteNot interested in peppermint at all.
ReplyDeleteI'll be in line for the predator!
