Blind Item #9
No payola for this former network reality star turned A list singer who is probably permanently A list at this point. Because of her stance, her new songs don't get played any more on the biggest radio networks.

ReplyDeleteThis is Kelly Clarkson complaining that iheartradio invites her to be at their music festival but doesn’t play her songs on their stations.
ReplyDeleteI doubt she is permanent A but it is Kelly Clarksen for that reason^^^^^^
ReplyDeleteDon't make Carrie roll out her miscarriage like when the NFL song tanked
ReplyDeleteKelly, they don't play most good music on their stations, wear it like a badge of honor.
ReplyDeleteiheartradio is one of the main reasons the music business is so awful nowadays. Hardly the only reason but a significant one.
ReplyDeleteplus iheartradio is going broke
ReplyDeleteThank God! Love Kelly Clarkson!!
ReplyDelete@DDonna, honestly, when do we get to push forward with anti-trust hearings?
ReplyDeleteI always here Kelly Clarksons music all day on Iheartradio though
ReplyDeleteI think this is Carrie. Kelly is busy with a new talk show. Is she even pushing new music?
ReplyDeleteI dated the head of marketing from iheartradio when he first moved to NYC from Seattle a few years ago.
ReplyDeleteLovely man and good father. He's just a marketing honcho though, not responsible for our lack of diverse programming.
@hunter, If you're legit, that guy's a genius if he had anything to do with the corporate rebranding. Iheartradio at least has young fans, etc. The entire world hated ClearChannel.
ReplyDeleteI wonder how high up the chain any payola there would have to go, though. It's not like anyone working at an Iheartradio station has any say over the playlist; that all comes out of a computer that's probably in New Jersey. Maybe Seacrest could play what he wants but I doubt he gives a crap.
