Blind Item #5

First, the victim left this hit pay cable show. Now, the person who was behind it all is also leaving the show. The gap between departures was supposed to make it look like they were unrelated. It will be interesting to see if the show can survive the two departures.

  1. They were the main characters though... I wonder how the show will go on. What did he do to her?

  2. So the affair wont have any affair moving forward? I hope not everyone turns into faithful in the show, that will be boringgg!

  3. Don't think it's The Affair as it has already been reported that the fifth season will be its final season, there wouldn't be a question of whether the show would "survive" or not.

  5. Weren’t their issues with Westworld? Some of the cast members won’t be back. But it’s too far off to tell.

  6. Lauren Cohen complaining of the pay difference between her and Andrew Lincoln. Lincoln is leaving and then Cohen announced she is leaving after causing all the drama.

Ruth Wilson left and isn’t coming back for the last season. Now a month or two later, it has also been announced that Joshua Jackson won’t be returning for the last season as well. Just a guest spot for an episode or two.
What happened, enty? Ruth won’t say. At least you should know. Unless you’re just sensationalizing?

  8. The Affair sounds like a pay dispute where the show runners tried to use emotional manipulation on Ruth Wilson to stay, rather than a pay raise, and she said fuck it.

The Sad Travails of Noah have taken over the show already, destroying characters right and left to try and fluff up his storyline (like the French professor - started out interesting then became a servant of the Noah character completely.) Maybe Joshua Jackson simply became bored with his character and the writing.

I wouldn't surprised me if in the first season or two there was some major "hooking up" between all the actors there.

  13. @Pghgirl Read this article https://people.com/tv/lena-dunham-cornered-by-male-producer/. It talks about a producer/director on a show that wanted Lena to talk to this mutual friend/actor from his show about doing nudity. The producer then went on to critique and “crudely evaluate” the bodies of women on his show. Both Girls and The Affair were reported by the local Hamptons press to be filming around Montauk and Amagansett at the time.

This seems to correspond, at least in tone, with an article on this
site http://www.showbiz411.com/2018/08/17/ which has an exclusive about Ruth's exit. It talks about an incident that happened on set, which did NOT involve either of her male costars.

EW.com's article said that Jackson was initially only contracted for a couple of seasons, with the actor continuing to sign on for additional seasons as they came. They are in the middle of figuring out where his character would go now that his primary love interest (Wilson) has died, and are presently in discussions on how they’d wrap up Cole. Whether that’s one episode or more is unknown for now.

  17. I think it's shameless first Emmy announces she is leaving and now just today Cameron Monaghan just announced the next episode is his last. Wonder what he did?
