  3. Nasty reading about it. My friend had this was kept in for three months, we thought we had lost her a few times.

  4. Yes, perforated Bowel will keep you in the hospital for a while. Sometimes Colostomy bag is necessary for a period of time. MP has not healthy for some time. Saw him in Del Mar about 12 years ago. Very flirty guy with a sad aura around him.

  5. I can not even believe that Perry wound up the least successful of all the Friends.

    2. Please! Schwimmer is the least successful. Perry had a few hood runs in the movies at least.

    3. Nahhhh. Schwimmer was smart and snagged the Madagascar franchise while he was still hot (he could never get that job today). They're still churning those out, so he's bringing in plenty of money.
He's done a bit of producing and directing, plus American Crime Story. As a character actor, he could do alright.
Perry on the other hand was always more of a lead. Four different series that lasted 1-2 seasons is failure. I guess it's arguable. But I consider lead roles in multiple high profile flops to be less successful than steady, supporting roles and behind the scenes work.
Perry has had farther to fall. He's also had that pesky addiction issue for 20+ years.

  6. +1 for Sara, MIW.

Matthew Perry was so charming, funny and winsome on "Friends." He should've had an amazing career, instead he's literally full of......

  7. Poor guy. @SD Auntie - This happened to me. A routine hysterectomy (keyhole) and the surgeon accidentally perforated my large bowel. I was undiagnosed for a week and then rushed to ICU - fever, couldn't breathe (had to have an oxygen mask.) Another surgeon had to operate; he did a wash-out and a temporary colostomy & drains etc & I stayed in hospital for 3 months. Had to learn how to walk, contracted pneumonia & sepsis & flu, & had to have blood transfusions. The morphine gave me paranoid hallucinations by day and nightmares at night. I was later told by the surgeon that my survival rate was less than 50% & I hadn't been expected to survive the op. Got to go back in & have the colostomy reversed. Oh, and I'm needle-phobic!

    2. So sorry to hear Kimberley. Sounds completely awful but sending good thoughts and prayers for the colostomy reversal.

  8. Egads Kimberly! You poor thing as well. I have a needle phobia too, but I’m glad that’s the only commonality I have with you in that post! Glad you made it through.

  11. Thanks for labeling what I also have as 'needle phobia', Kimberly. Had kidney disease as a nine year old (in the middle '60s) and was tortured with needles.
Hope you were able to get justice from that surgeon.
