Blind Item #14

Look for this reforming band to go in an entirely different direction for their reboot. It is a permanent A list group that might be replacing the A+ list male with an A+ list female. That is the band's first choice anyway.

    2. Ann Wilson could definitely do it, but Zeppelin would be a downgrade for her.

    Cameron says Heartbreakers will return.

Does that previous blind suggest Stevie Nicks will front?

  11. For the record, they won't go on as a tribute band, with someone else doing their old stuff. It would be new songs with multiple singers switching off. So if this is them, Enty has the details wrong.

My first thought was Oasis. There's massive interest in a reunion, and if they replace that asshole brother with a woman...it could work.

Possibly Talking Heads. But I'm not sure if Byrne has enough control to squash any attempts for the others to perform without him as the Heads.

Possibly the Greatful Dead? A female Jerry? There's a mountain of money on the table for anything from the remains of that band.

It doesn't specify a singer...and "reboot" is interesting...so not AC/DC, and they never broke up and are moving forward with Axl, and not Led Zeppelin as nobody wants a "reboot", they want the real deal, and only the real deal. Queen already replaced Freddy and the fans are fine with Lambert.

If they reboot The Heartbreakers with Stevie, it will be a massive crash and burn into the desert floor. And it would be cheaper to hire a goat - and sound pretty much the same.

  13. Yup...probably the Heartbreakers with Stevie Nicks.

  14. Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty hung out back in the day so that would be cool for her to be in the Heartbreakers.

  18. Oh, I hope this could be Stevie Nicks joing the Heartbreakers to sing for Tom Petty (notice I didn't say replace him, as he's irreplaceable) Her voice would work with most of their/his songs. It would be really cool and she should be done and wash her hands of FM.

I wish AC/DC would get a new lead singer and keep playing.

I wish James Hetfield would go out on his own and bring us more musical joy. I'm just kind of tired and grown out of Metallica. But James is so talented he could even front for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and that would be awesome fun.

  20. Ann brought a tear to Plants eye with Stairway to Heaven but I think this is Stevie Nicks and the Heartbreakers

  21. Oasis
    Fergie in for Liam.

  22. Petty said Stevie was an honorary Heartbreaker many years ago. Also, she's done numerous Petty songs, "I Need to Know", "Free Fallin'" and of course "Stop Draggin'..." was a Heartbreakers song.

  23. I would pay big money to see Zeppelin, with either Plant or Anne Wilson. She KILLED her cover of Stairway to Heaven and is just a powerhouse of massive talent in general.

OTOH, I have always loved Stevie Nicks but if even half of what is written about her treatment of Buckingham is true then I don't really give a shit what she does.

  24. Motorhead (although Lemmy is Permanent Legend) and Joan Jett? I’d actually pay to see that.

  25. I would be 100% down for The Heartbreakers with Stevie Nicks.

  32. Personally, I'd rather see the Heartbreakers with Lucinda Williams.

  33. Meh. As I've said before, I'm just not much of a fan of female vocalists. There aren't many I like.

Not A list by far, but Tracii's version LA Guns tried this out a few years ago and believe me it did not work out. Dilana Robichaux claimed Tracii paid her in old amps and never paid back money he owed her for hotel expenses. Then again her interview with Todd Newton makes her sound so insufferable... She's pretty much "OH LOL THESE SONGS ARE TERRIBLE LOL LOL LOLOLOL" throughout the whole damn thing. It's horrible. She sounds 14.

But whatever this band is they are probably more professional. Still, I wouldn't want a favorite band of mine to replace a singer with one of the opposite sex. It would sound weird. I wouldn't really be up for it. I don't mind covers or tributes though.
