Blind Item #14

If you are ever thinking of taking the child molester's side because you want him to be able to work steadily or something, or don't believe the victims, take a look at this from a mom who had a daughter working on one of his films. She enclosed a picture of how he had her dress on set from the actual set, but it is creepy and I don't want her recognized.

I let my daughter work on ____________. She had done Broadway but this was her first feature, and it was literally just a feature background role. Non speaking. The child molester invited my daughter to eat lunch with him. She was 7 at the time. I've been on MANY sets. I have NEVER seen a director ask a background actor to lunch, let alone a child.

  1. ...and how old was Dylan when she was molested?
    Oh yeah, 7...
Woody has always grossed me out.

  2. I find it funny his wife/stepdaughter defended him... like girl come on

  3. I thought that freaking story was disgusting, can't believe they actually printed it. It's nice to see Dylan and the rest of her siblings (besides Moses) backed her up.

  4. no way...this is bullshit. I worked on many Woody Allen films and he ate w/ producers..never seen anything untoward or unprofessional on his sets. And, he doesn't like talking to actors, even when directing. I can't speak of his family problems or behavior w/his kids. But I can tell you Soon-yi is very, very sweet and helpful.

  5. Did you work on "Blue Jasmine"? If so what was Sally Hawkins like? I have been a fan of hers since I saw "Persuasion", and I am not easily a fan of actors.

This could be Stevie S again. Sounds like his MO with the girl from Poltergeist that he spotted in the studio café, and then had lunch with her.

  6. @Kimberly you'd have to be with him every second to be able to vouch for him. I'd just stay out of it personally. The PR effort going on for Allen is one of the worst seen. They really did not do him any favors.

  7. It's sad that people still defend him. This world is really fucked up

  8. I'm always facinated by people who come here and call bullshit on a blind because they disagree with someone elses guess. Do you even know how this works, Kimberly? It's a blind item. Woody Allen may not be the answer. Would it still be bullshit if it's not Woody?

  9. 1. I don't think this is Woody.

    2. The interview with Soon Yi, just released, makes me want to take a long cleansing bath. Maureen Orth is a hack. Soon Yi's responses sound like dialogue from a Woody film. And she says she never had one day of fun, one joyous moment, in Mia's house. Bullshit. That's a highly defensive response constructed by Woody. This girl who was found naked on the streets of Seoul HAD to have experienced something like joy from being whisked away from that by Farrow and Previn. Only Woody has any interest in negating any good thing Mia may have done in her life or as a mother.

It's a terrible interview if meant to resurrect Woody's Amazon deal. Soon Yi's complaints about Mia never teaching her about make up or lingerie sound like things Woody cares about more than a teenaged girl would.

Big mistake on Woody's part, pimping out the misses.

  11. I am no fan of Woody Allen - but I appreciate Kimberly sharing her first hand experience in set.

  12. Soon-Yi described grooming. He groomed her and she did him no favours in that interview. He showed affection to a girl who he knew was vulnerable. Both Mia and Woody are odd.

  13. Jimmy Saville used to be nice to adults that he worked with too. Take the rose tainted glasses off. If it looks like a pedo, acts like a pedo and molests like a pedo, it's a pedo. 'I spoke to him once' or 'I worked with him once' is not an argument.
It still absolutely blows my mind that there are people defending this sick fuck that had nude pictures of his young daughter. And that's the least of his crimes, too.

    1. Right.

Fed up of pedo sympathizers trying to turn paedophilia into a mental illness.

Just because you're well known shouldn't give you carte Blanche to do what you like, it also shouldn't make others turn a blind eye. My dad used to beat the shit out of my mother - he was nice as pie to EVERYONE else.

  14. Mia may be odd but Woody molested one of her daughters and then groomed another into matrimony. How odd was it that Soon Yi can't remember how and when they first hooked up or became a sexual couple? Maybe it was when she was far younger than admitted to.

  18. @orangesoda See, it's stuff like that that makes us have to speak up about WA. He had nudes of Soon-Yi. Young, yes, but not illegal and NOT his daughter. You do your argument no favours with the hysteria.

Woody lost his Amazon deal (I think it was Amazon) after Dylan wrote that letter to the papers last Spring (or Winter?)

Woody blames Mia for every word out of Dylan's mouth, and Ronan's mouth for that matter. Yeah, he has an axe to grind.

  20. If you are talking about the tv deal Woody did for Amazon, it was only ever going to un for one season. Six Scenes is actually pretty good.

And anyone that can send the kind of batshit crazy missive that Mia sent to Woody, with all the skewers and the knife sticking through it, is someone I have no doubt beat at least two of her kids and had no qualms about using a kid falsely to destroy someone she felt betrayed her.

  21. @Cee Kay, but Asia Argento didn't adopt the 17 year old she messed around with either..... your argument isn't helping W.A.

Meh, it was a personal letter not a threat. It makes sense to me, the hearts of the family were in pain. What else is it supposed to mean?

Mia isn't the paragon of stability (she dated Phillip Roth, after all) but she tried really hard to make a decent home for her kids, no matter what their condition. All of her kids except Soon Yi and Moses have stood by her, neither of which who were there the day of the most egregious molesting of Dylan by Woody. Neither has claimed to witness Mia coach Dylan. Neither is in contact with Ronan or Dylan or any of the other kids they grew up with as siblings. So, how they are able to make claims for the whole family is a mystery.

  23. There's a movie from 1997 called Wild Man Blue that follows Woody Allen's jazz band on tour. Soon Yi is in it. I remember seeing it and thinking -- wow, she comes across as strong and in charge of her life. You can no longer see this movie in the United States. But please read Roger Ebert's review before assuming Soon Yi is some victim. I'm a woman, I've had some bad experiences, but I don't think there is a lot of scandal here. https://www.rogerebert.com/reviews/wild-man-blues-1998

  24. Wild Woman Blues was very interesting on a few aspects. It's about a European tour with his jazz ensemble. It won't change anybody's opinion about whether Allen is a criminal or about the wrongness of dating his wife's adoptive daughter after she just turned 18, but the word was, when the scandal broke out, that she was retarded. She was, as you say, a strong-willed woman rather than Allen's substitute daughter, and she wasn't afraid to put him in his place when his OCD tendencies were taking over. They've also been married for 21 years.

  26. Soon yis interview was creepy. Blaming her mom for not showing her how to put on makeup? Please, my mom didn’t either but I managed on my own (and I am about her age). I always thought Mia was weird and I have no idea if Woody abused anyone or not, but when a person starts making someone else into an ogre and finding no redeeming value in them at all, even when they rescued you from an orphanage, I listen to what you say with a grain of salt.

  28. The matter isn't if Soon Yi is a strong woman or not, nor if she is mentally challenged or not. The matter is about Woody and how he wounded a family that he played some role in for 12 years. While not criminal, at least not in the Soon Yi portion of his activities, it certainly shows Woody to be ethically weak and devoid of any understanding of his responsibilities. Now, it shows in the answers of Soon Yi in the latest interview which carry Woody's anger for Mia as well as his wording. He has a vested interest in making Mia out to be a monster and Soon Yi happily complies.

Now, as far as Dylan goes, yes, I think Woody had an unhealthy obsession with her and acted out in ways that were reprehensible. Woody has a screwed up understanding of love and family and how both are always supposed to serve him. Maybe he secretly learned something or other from the experience and acted differently with his two current children, though probably not.

  29. On top of it Woody Allen is always casting suspicions on the parentage of Ronan Farrow! What kind of vindictive person does that?

    ReplyDelete
  30. This sounds more like Spielberg.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I don’t know one way or the other about this claim. Nobody else does either other than Woody Allen. Dylan Farrow’s recollection is not credible. She was a small child and heavily influenced by an overbearing mother. What irritates is the assumptions of people who claim to know. You don’t know but you’ve taken a side. It’s ridiculous! You are grinding an axe for personal gain. Whether it’s clicks on the internet or promoting your own story or just signaling your virtue. But you don’t know the truth of what happened. So put down your pitchforks and your torches and stop pretending that you do.

  32. The Soon Yi interview got all the Woody haters stirred up again. Ya weirdos.

  33. Soon Yi's lucky Morgan Freeman wasn't her step-father. She'd be room temperature by now.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Woody Allen dated Mia Farrow in the 80's, Soon Yi was a child. Even if he was not her father figure he definitely would of had contact with her and gotten to know her as a child. He dated her mother for over 12 years while she was an adolescent. This is not a healthy relationship in any way, shape or form. I have no idea on the other allegations but this alone makes him a perverted creep.

  35. @Amartel

    "Woody haters"

That's not me. I love many of Woody's movies. I ache with nostalgia when I watch them, probably even the first time when they came out. Unlike any other director, Woody looks backwards and his films seem like documents of a time or a moment just passed. No one is taking those movies away from me if I ever feel like watching them again.

But the man is completely ethically fuckt as a person. He wounded the Farrow family deeply and still feels no responsibility for what happened there. Like a toddler, he yowls and condemns Mia "It's all her fault!" by inventing this horrible childhood her kids have, scripted by Woody, delivered by Soon Yi and Moses. What an absolute turd.

  36. @Amartel

"Dylan Farrow’s recollection is not credible"

Yes it was. Yes it is. One judge, a social worker, every shrink who interviewed Dylan (and there were many), her juvie lawyers...all said her recollections were credible and she had been molested by Woody.

The judge said there was ample evidence to go to trial. At the time, it was thought Dylan was too fragile and they were probably right. Things have changed in the court systems and how victims are handled differently, especially children. 30 years ago, courts were much harsher places for children to give evidence.

The most condemning part of the judgement against Woody is that he was not allowed contact with any of his children at all, and Moses and Ronan only with a psychologist present. During one session with Ronan, Woody put both his hands around Ronan's neck in anger. All visitation was terminated immediately.

Woody still continued to write letters to Dylan, in disguise so to speak, without his return address. Yeah, there's a man who thinks his desires shouldn't have any boundaries. Fuck him.

  37. And other finders of fact sided with Woody and other facts support Woody's version of events. There are findings and facts on both sides so just constantly repeating the ones that conform to and support your opinion is a pointless exercise. It's an unknowable thing and it would be better for all concerned if the gossips just moved on and stopped using this for entertainment and fuel for playing out your own version of how the world should be.

  38. Moses claims to have been in the house on the day in question. Who knows if this is actually Moses' blog, but check out this post from May of this year: http://mosesfarrow.blogspot.com/2018/05/a-son-speaks-out-by-moses-farrow.html

I think the behaviour of both MF and WA is a bit weird. Also, one of MF's brothers committed suicide and the other is currently serving time after accepting an Alford Plea for child molestation.

    Weird stuff...

  40. "other facts support Woody's version of events"

    Like what facts support Woody?

"Moses claims to have been in the house on the day in question"

He was NOT in the house during the molestation. Moses was with his mother outside the house.

If Moses claims he was in the house at the time, he is lying. It's all right there in the court papers. That's why Moses wasn't called as a witness

  41. "I’m a very private person and not at all interested in public attention. But, given the incredibly inaccurate and misleading attacks on my father, Woody Allen, I feel that I can no longer stay silent as he continues to be condemned for a crime he did not commit."
"My older siblings were all either biological or adopted children of Mia and her ex-husband André Previn. In 1985 Mia adopted Dylan. Two years later she and Woody had their only biological child, Satchel. At the age of 49, Woody seemed to delight in his new role of father."

First paragraph, second sentence. Yet Soon Yi is not Woody's daughter? If you're father figuring, you don't sex your kid. EVER
Second paragraph, third sentence. How can Moses be Woody's son, Soon Yi isn't his daughter, but Satchel is their only child together?
12 years. Woody was the father figure.
