ReplyDeleteThey will never hire a big star to play James Bond! This is just a pr ploy by his own team, like when Idris Elbas team planted stories about him being in contention being the new bond! Right now they are more concerned with finding a director for their latest bond movie.

ReplyDeleteCavill just seems so meh to me. I don't really care if he's gay or straight. Kit Harrington does need to shut the fuck up though. The majority of people would not enjoy seeing two blokes get it on in Bond-type sex scenes, sorry SJW Kit. If you want to see even more gays in movies and tv shows, then audition for gay parts yourself instead of preaching to others.
Have been hoping for years that Cavill would be the next Bond. I think he is perfect for it Apparently, he was too young for the role when he first auditioned for it.

Zero interest in watching a Cavill Bond. Even without him being a nonce, it’s a return to Suave Bond when we’ve moved on to Damaged Bond. Dull, dull, dull.

ReplyDeleteThe Bond franchise has only hired "cheap" actors, not guys who were previously a name above the title for major productions.
Actually, Cavill was this close to getting the part in 2006, as he was the first pick from the Casino Royale director, Martin Campbell. Daniel Craig was in the shortlist, and Barbara Broccoli ultimately chose him, which may have been her best decision so far.
Also, Bond 25 is still on track for a late 2019 release, even if they haven't made a decision about a new director, with Craig confirmed as Bond and as an associate producer, with the full support of Michael H. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli. At this point, by the way, it would be difficult to rewrite the script with a new lead they have zero experience with. And, in the middle of this production, the last thing in the producers mind is also to decide who would be the new actor for Bond 26, to be released in 2022 or 2023.
He would make the world’s most boring Bond. So he should fit right in.

And Cavill as Bond... that's a NO! Not charismatic or sexy enough. He is good looking, but lacks that easy charisma and sexy is not a word I'd use for Henry.

ReplyDeletePeople who want Idris are insane. Americans always think the rest of the world is burdened with white guilt just as they are. Cast Idris as Bond and the franchise goes to shit for all of his movies. L.A America won't go see a black bond, and neither will all of Asia, East Europe, etc.
Cavill was born to play Bond.
Hamid, I like Matt as well, but unfortunately he's not tall enough to play Bat/Supes.
ReplyDeleteAiden Turner would be very hot for Bond. I thought Cavill was sexy in The Tutors. I truly hope he isn't a pedo, that would just ruin it for me with him. I've liked him since The Tutors and its disheartening to read this rumors. If he is though, burn him down.

Idris Elba is as old as Roger Moore was when he started playing Bond.
