Blind Item #12

This former athlete turned actor is talking a lot of smack, but if he doesn't show up for work, he will be in breach of contract and no studio would hire him after that.

  1. Well I'm not watching another Guardians movie without Drax, he's carrying the comedy on those things now.

    1. They have put gotg on hiatus indefinitely at this point. The whole MCU timeline is higgledy-piggledy at this point.

  2. he said he doesn't feel right working for disney now.

Well buddy hate to break it to you - but Disney owns LucasFilm, Marvel, Pixar etc (practically the entire Film business) so they have a wee bit more leverage on the table than you do...so good luck!

Dave, Dave, Dave. If you're contractually bound to show up, do it. Take the paycheck. And then do the worst job you can, so they fire you. The best way to hurt them is to make their movies worse than they are, so they lose money. That's all they care about.

  5. Give Dave a break, he's new at this and still thinks honor means something.

  6. I hope whatever Director takes Gunn’s place really makes an effort to give Bautista a good storyline. Drax is severely underused. It sucks that Disney would side with a rapist like Cernovich, but business goes on. Bautista is great as Drax. It’d really suck if Bautista isn’t part of GOTG3

  7. Nobody gives a shit about some washed up aging wrestler. This guy's loud mouth will get him nowhere fast.

  8. "He’s not a dude, you are a dude. He is a MAN. A handsome, muscular man" – Drax

Who else besides Batista could make that line work? ;)

  9. Drax is there, but you can't see him because he's moving...so...slowly.

  12. Dave is a ham and terrible actor. Guardians could easily go on without him. And frankly, if he doesn't understand why Disney fired that piece of filth pedo, then he's a piece of filth too and good riddance.

  14. What Gunn said all those years ago was distasteful, but obviously I've seen far worse in the comments here. He apologized, it was over, he had become a mature director of blockbuster films - and all of this was available to access before they ever hired him.
DISNEY dropped the ball in the vetting process... OR it didnt matter to them because it was over.
To fire Gunn now, and for such cretinous conspiracy theorists, is pathetic.
I, like Dave Batista, am revolted by the handling of the entire matter. Disney gets no more $$ from me.

The fact that Batista understands the concept of loyalty and applies it to his daily life makes him a bigger hero to me.

  16. Bautista....does he seriously thhink that people go to watch Avengers or GoTG to watch Drax. He is replaceable. People won't even miss him.

  17. "He apologized, it was over"

He didn't apologize for the pedo-stuff because those didn't come out back in the day. He apologized for the misogynist stuff. The pedo-stuff was newly discovered.

  18. anyone familiar with his wrestling career (he was literally created by one company when he was in his 30s, an atypical start) already knows this.
