20 year old pink Jansport backpack. It's just now looking its age. Some sugar scrub from Bath and Body Works leaked in it when I went to Thailand 12 years ago and I'll be damned if I don't still smell it.
My Nordic Trak skier. Though I should get rid of it. The last few times I used it my knee would hurt for a couple of days, so now I use a rower when I am not working out outside.
I have a fave Tshirt, I have been wearing it off and on since the 90s. lol. I actually bought it COD out of the back of a magazine, its a SEVEN shirt, with Brad's face on the front and the 7 deadly sins on the back. I love this shirt. I just put it in the wash today.. lol.
I still have an Alice In Chains 'we die young ' cassette sampler someone handed me outside one of their very first shows in Hollywood back in '90 or '91...i miss layne staley...i wish they would have named the new AIC something different...it seems just wrong...
CDs, books, VHS tapes, some jewelry, the Dress I wore in my brother's wedding, collectible Barbies, Beanie Babies, Legos I used to play with (my son has them now), these wine glasses from Spencer's that were candles. I burnt down the candles and washed out the glasses.
I was a MASSIVE Bangles fan (the girl group) and I still have all of the magazine clippings I cut and their official Fan Club stuff they sent members once a month.
On a less tragic note, my daily visits to CDAN (and the exposure to this world of PR trolls and bot armies that it brings) is seriously messing with my head. π
I juste woke up from a dream that someone introduced me to his PR firm’s “internet trollz team” (yes really). π Literally, she said, “Scandi, meet our online trolls team... This is A, she’s in charge of playing the mother archetype in the comments section... This is B,” and so on and so forth. I was like, “WTH.” π¦ And then one of them advised me, “Scandi, you need to tell these people that you went to prom...” π€£ And I was like, “high school proms are an American concept, you ignorant dum-dums. We don’t do that in my culture [unless you’re a pathetic wannabe who wants to pretend their worldly/westernised—which I am not a pathetic wannabe].” ππ»♀️ You guys don’t know what you’re doing, uuuuuuugh. π€¦π»♀️
That’s what you get for spending the amount of time I do on this blog. It messes with your head.
I have a t-shirt from 1995 (has the date on it) that I keep to wear when I color my hair. That might be the only thing. I have moved a lot and I'm not particularly sentimental.
I still own and am able to wear a pair of button fly Levis I purchased in 1991. They have been patched and repaired so many times I’ve lost count, but my sweet little Asian Alteration/seamstress Lady tells all her friends and clients about the guy who can still wear the 27 year-old jeans lol.
COOL. That just sounds like the Elton John song they sang in the bus in “Almost Famous”, Tom: https://youtu.be/bhwGPwDbbRM ππ€·π»♀️πΆ
πΌ Blue jean baby, L.A. lady, seamstress for the band Pretty eyed, pirate smile, you'll marry a music man Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand And now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand
My home, my husband, my daughter has moved out though. Books, CD's, tapes, clothes, pictures, my daughter's birth souvenirs, like her beanie, hospital beacelet, eye cover for the bili light and the pacifier our rescue dog picked up on an early morning foray and brought back home (greatest dog). Jewelry, shoes and Mardi Gras gowns (my daughter wore one to her prom). She really wanted to wear my prom dress from '86 but I seem to have lost it. @MercyProsperity, so sorry to hear that about your daughter. And my girl has taken both pair of my Doc Martens and most of my tees from the 80's-90's.
My drug test came back negative. My dealer has a lot of explaining to do.
