Android has a good play store but the chrome browser sucks lately. I don't like Apple, and since I've used it longer than anything am more comfortable with Windows although the app store blows.
I don't like Apple's current leadership but I went Mac in 2010 and won't go back to Windows. I've used Linux/Unix in day jobs since 1995 (high tech) and it's def the best, but don't have the consumer apps of Apple (which is partially built on a Unix base!) or Windows, so... stuck with Mac.
Windows for flexibility Chrome is forced on me with my android; tried deleting and the phone stopped working, so now I keep chrome and use an ad blocker app and use duck duck go. I get truer info, not siphoned by google gods
I used windows since version 3.1 (yeah I’m old) until they stopped supporting windows xp, Now Mac and my many apple devices drive me crazy at times but at least I do t worry so much about viruses and malware like before. You just cannot win with any of them, I too would go linux but yeah...no apps to do what ia do with my device set-up currently.
I have been using Windows since the dawn of the internet, it is what I am used to. Not a fan of my iPhone, husband's android is so much easier and more intuitive to use.
@GeeWallyThatWouldBeWrong, I wish I could do anything on linux that I can on windows. I still prefer it but I cannot do a lot due to lack of skill with WINE and so on. I have never used Ubuntu, just kanotix, knoppix and openSuSe. It is fine for browsing.
Hmm ...I can't use chrome here cuz of pop ups ....is that what he means? I use android cheap prepay phone lol with an awesome pop up blocker called Free Ad blocker browser cuz you can't even with chrome on this site....I probably misunderstood but I do the Mobil thing I don't need a computer I'm already hooked on youtube and I do manual labor so what's the point lol
Windows 7, but when support ends it will probably be up in the air. There are (currently) just too many privacy issues with Windows 10. I'll have to set up a linux test bed to see if it is any more usable than it was ten years ago when I last tried it.
You gotta hand it to blind prostitutes!!

Whatever the hell is on my Kindle.
ReplyDeleteAndroid is on everything like that.
DeleteI hate this battle but macs are better to use. Windows just keeps getting worse and worse.

ReplyDeleteIsn't Chrome a browser, not an OS?

ReplyDeleteHe probably meant Android\Google Chrome gauloise.
ReplyDeleteMac would be the winner but way overpriced for most people. Yes once I did take a Windows out to a parking lot and copied the scene from Office Space.
