Today's Blind Items - No Happily Ever After - Kind Of Old Hollywood

This is not super Old Hollywood. If it involves television, than maybe it just back back in the day rather than Old Hollywood. She was definitely popular through her tween and teen years but those were also the years that she blamed for ruing the rest of her life and every relationship she had. It also left her childless.

She got her big break when she was 11 or 12. Right in the tween sweet spot. She came in as a replacement on one of the biggest daytime shows in television. It was a television show which the studio used more for pleasing investors than any real money from advertisers on the show. For two years, our actress was passed around to older men as a way to get them to invest in the bigger company which was going through a financial squeeze because of a very very very big investment. At that time, it had yet to pay off like it has today.

She was just one of the dozen or so that were passed around. The main star was the only one who was not passed around because she was the personal play toy of the man everyone called by one name. He made sure through her good and bad years that she worked as much as she wanted and he provided her six figure checks twice a year to help her live her best life.

Anyway, back to the subject of her blind. One of the men brutally raped and beat her because he said she wasn't trying her best. Umm, she was 13 maybe at that time and he was probably 50. He beat her so badly that she was fired from the show and suffered damage to her body that wouldn't ever allow her to have kids.

Fast forward a few years. She was probably 15 at that time and was on another hit show. This time there were no men passing her around. She loved being on the show. It was also at that time she got introduced to a permanent A+++ lister. He always liked his girlfriends young. He must have been in his mid to late 20's and was at that point an A lister. He saw her on the show and the next thing you know they were together. They split though when he found out she had been raped. He considered her damaged goods. He also started talking about it to other industry friends and within a couple years when her run on the show ended, she couldn't get any more work and she never really acted again.

    1. This could work, with Annette being the "star" and Walt's plaything and maybe Doreen or Sharon for the blind item subject.

  7. I thought Elvis for the A+++ person, too.

It's well documented that he liked them young.

  9. If MMC, then Annette funiciello for the main star??

    ReplyDelete
  10. I like Cheryl for this one, Annette for the main star kept by Walt.

  11. Maybe the big investment is Disney World which opened in 71.

  12. OT - saw Gerard Depardieu has been accused and he's been a popular guess on here.

Reveal day tomorrow or this afternoon??

  13. It's a soap opera young female star the star of the show was female so I'd say the show was one of these Another World (Rachel being the star) All My Children (Susan Lucci being the star ) or One Life to Live (Victoria Lord the star character Erica Slezak the star name) or Search for Tomorrow (Mary Stuart the star). Hayden P was on two of these shows and a girl named Lisa Peluso was also on two of these shows.

  16. Unknon I guess you may be a dumb motherfucker then huh? Because Trump was an A Lister in the 70s likes young girls and is an A+++ now. So if I was you I'd STFU.

    3. I don’t like trump but I doubt he’d date as young as Enty is saying. I love Elvis and yeah I could see him with a 14-16 yr old. It was a different time back then. Southern men wanted virgins.

  17. He also was in his 20s in the 70s and lived in New York where these shows were taped and had a comp!ex his father owned within 2 miles of the Brooklyn studio where the NBC soap operas were taped.

  18. Definitely think this is 50s Mickey Mouse Club with Cheryl Holdridge

    ReplyDelete
  19. I call Q-Anon bullcrap on this.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sandy I think Mickey mouse club fits but I think your timeframe of the 70s is better suited to the wording of the blind.

"not quite old hollywood but rather back in the day"

    ReplyDelete
  21. Not a fan of Trump but he was not A-list in the 70's. I have first hand knowledge he liked models of early-mid twenties in the 80's when he was in his 40's, but not teens.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Lots of great guesses but I think that the main clue is this sentence:

For two years, our actress was passed around to older men as a way to get them to invest in the bigger company which was going through a financial squeeze because of a very very very big investment

Find the company put through a financial squeeze due to a major investment and find the answer?

    ReplyDelete
  23. The financial squeeze is Disneyland. Definitely Holdridge.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Read the last sentence. Trump wasn't in "the industry" back then though.

Then again I don't really see Elvis for this either. At no time was he both known and less than A+.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Ok but I'll work with Mickey Mouse too. In the 50s Annette was the biggest star on the show. Bobby was the biggest boy star on the show. Who is the guy known by one name? I don't think it was Disney. There were lots of boys and girls in and out. Darlene maybe? Doreen?

    ReplyDelete
  26. Yes,Cheryl Holdridge ,was on 2 other series. You can do a variation on this blind with most ex Disney kids. Walt Disney is probably the biggest cover-up of all.

    ReplyDelete
  27. Disneyland opened in 1955. Holdridge began MMC in 1955.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sad to think that this poor girl would not have been the only one brutally raped, beaten and maybe left infertile. And always new parents queuing up to deliver fresh bait.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Kristy McNichol?
Depressing that the 70s are now Old Hollywood.

    1. Agreed. The last paragraph makes it clear this tale is about the entertainment industry which I dont believe Trump was involved with until much later than back in the day. But why let facts and logic get in the way of hatred?

  32. It's the parents fault for letting their daughter have an acting job, and it's her own fault for just being there and not putting up enough of a fight. It's not the man's fault, because who wouldn't rape a tween or teen girl if they could? Give men a break, they are never responsible. Also

    WHAT DID THE POLICE SAY???

    ReplyDelete
  33. the show is they were on together is "Annette" full of Cheryl, Shelley Fabares and a dozen other tender young things...sickening this sounds real.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Thanks for agreeing with me, Mrs Meat. I love coming here where other people hate women as much as I do because it makes me feel less alone. It's almost like I have friends IRL, LOL.

    ReplyDelete
  35. I'm pretty sure Trump sank the Titanic as well.

    LOL! TDS is real folks!

    ReplyDelete
  36. lol @ fake J. Get a life.

    Anyway, re: Depardieu, from THR:

"Sources speaking to Le Parisien newspaper claimed that a woman went to the police in Lambesc, southern France, on Monday to file the criminal complaint, saying she been sexually assaulted at Depardieu’s home in Paris on Aug. 7 and Aug. 13 of this year. The case was then passed to prosecutors in Paris."

    1) Good on the girl for going to the police.
    2) Bad on the girl for not doing so on August 7 or 8.

    ReplyDelete

    1. How did she get assaulted on both the 7th and 13th? Very odd she would go back.

      Delete
  37. Ok I can see this being Cheryl then, just read up on her life. And Annette as the kept girl.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Sandy, President Trump may have been an A lister in NYC but not many other people in the country had heard of him. It wasn't until the 80's that he became a household name.

Elvis definitely liked them young. Priscilla was 14 years old when they started dating.

    ReplyDelete
  39. @SS, wasn't that a Disney spinoff type? Who is the later A+++ list?

    ReplyDelete
  40. I think,Elvis could work? The rating and thinking she was damaged goods sounds like him.

    ReplyDelete
  41. BTW, I don't believe going to the police was a particularly effective option fifty years ago. In fact, I don't think it would have helped at all in most cases... victims then were truly screwed. (Note I said victims... of course there were rapacious casting-couchers then as now, who deserve neither sympathy nor respect.)

This year is 2018, however, and today going to the police beats keeping accusations -- legitimate or otherwise -- in your back pocket until the jobs dry up (a/k/a the "metoo" method).

It's a real mystery to me why so many people on this board don't want to see the force of the law brought against real criminals. Only plausible explanation is a wish to protect the #metoo racketeers.

    ReplyDelete
  42. It's Cheryl, with Elvis as the A+++ lister. They were rumored to be together when she was approx. 16. Elvis liked them young, as we all know.

She never really acted too much later. Three marriages, all childless. She appeared to be an advocate for children, as she was big into raising money to help children who had been burned.

    Super sad all around.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Even now the victim isn't always believed. No matter that the media would have us believe it's now 'the accused' who are greater victims....of rampant false accusation.

The more vulnerable the victim (mentally ill, young, drunk, homeless, disabled, etc), the less credibility they have when making a statement. But the greater appeal to life's predators. Vicious circle.

    ReplyDelete
  44. Mrs Meat, that's clearly not true.

Compare, say, the coverage of Al Franken's crude antics with the coverage of Asia Argento's grooming and rape of a minor.

    ReplyDelete
  45. This is why I don't let my kid audition, despite her talent.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I would say Meg Ryan and not sure of the A+++.

    ReplyDelete
  47. Cheryl HoldridgE
    Mickey Mouse Club
    Elvis
    Leave it to Beaver

    ReplyDelete
  48. Actually, let me clarify, Mrs Meat. I don't disagree with you about the vulnerability of homeless and disabled people. My brother is severely disabled and I'm aware of significant vulnerabilities in that community... horrible things.

However, to put it plainly, this is a gossip site about Hollywood stars, not a gossip site about homeless disabled people. I see no reason why the malodorous Ms. Argento, for example, couldn't have contacted authorities about her "rape" instead of, errmmm, sleeping with Harvey Weinstein for five more years and going to meet his mommy.

    Cheers!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Wouldn't 1950s be considered Old Hollywood? I think this is more recent. Enty considers 1970s as back in the day.

    ReplyDelete
  50. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cheryl_Holdridge

I think Cheryl Holdridge fits. She was 12 when she started on MMC and she has been linked to Elvis Presley.

    ReplyDelete
  51. If the A+++ lister was Elvis, and he was in his mid-to-late 20s then, it would mean all this was going on between 1960-1965.
What show ended in the mid-60s with a 15 year old girl?

    ReplyDelete
  52. Shelley Fabares is also childless and was safe on the Donna Reed Show. Shelley also made a movie with Elvis.

    ReplyDelete
  53. OMG is it Trump? It's got to be Trump right? Everything bad is Trump! Some guy cut me off on the way to work this morning, guess who it was?? That's right it was fucking Trump! then at lunch the waitress screwed up my order, guess who the waitress was? That's right it was FUCKING TRUMP! He must be stopped!

    ReplyDelete
  54. I’m going with Shelley, Annette was a soap for kids. And I can see Elvis doing something like this, he quit having sex with his wife when she got pregnant.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Not Shelley. She continued to work for many, many years long after Elvis was gone.

I dont think the MMC works. It was not a daytime show and aired at 5pm, no? However, I know the old Soaps were definitely daytime shows and quite a few were put on by Proctor and Gamble as a means for advertising and pushing their products. I am thinking it's something along those lines.

I am not a soaps person so I have no idea about who would really work. The only thing I can really find is possibly some actress named Abigail Kellogg who played a replacement character on Guiding Light in the 60s and then did Search for Tomorrow. I dont know if she fits though. I tried making Lisa Peluso from Search for Tomorrow fit but no dice.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ABC invested heavily in Disney back when it was starting out. Irony is Disney later bought abc as it became a larger company. Could it be a soap on abc back in the day?

    ReplyDelete
  58. @Spider Rico, appreciate your common sense. There's a big difference between a man who is attracted to women younger than himself (basically every man who ever lived) and a man who likes them "young" meaning in their early-to-mid teens. And when a man has spent much of the last 30-40 years of his life in the tabloids, it shouldn't be that hard to tell which. Some scandalous theories are believeable, and some simply aren't. But obsessions cloud the mind and die hard.

    ReplyDelete
  59. All the Mouseketeers called Walt Disney Walt. One name.

    ReplyDelete
  60. I like Cheryl for this. She started in MMC at age 12, was on Leave it to Beaver at age 15 when Elvis would've been 24/25. i wonder if the guy who raped her was the host Dodd...?

    ReplyDelete
  61. No they called him Uncle Walt, which may be creepier but is 2 names

  63. @Unknown,the soaps ran from 1pm to 4pm,and the opposite of what the blind says, they existed for ad revenue. I got the impression that this show was for image, to impress the bosses.

    ReplyDelete
  64. No clue about any of this, but I do want to weigh in that it's definitely not a soap. Soaps did not ever exist just to please investors, although they did bring in huge money back in the day (when prime-time made nothing, and look how well they're treated today as a result of all that...)

    ReplyDelete
  65. I don't have the answer. Although Elvis liked them young, considering a rape victim damaged goods reminds me of Trump.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Elivis had alot of issues with women, it sounds like him.

    ReplyDelete
  67. People in NYC treat trump like he's a huge pile of smoldering, smellly dog sh__t, with good reason. He looked better when he was younger, but still a pile of sh__t.

    ReplyDelete
  68. It's interesting to me that when there is a blind about the past abuse of a woman most people are sympathic (as they should be), but if the woman herself decides to reveal that she was abused in the past, many people question her motives and/or doubt her because she didn't say something at the time.

    ReplyDelete
  69. All the soap stars named were adults when they started on their respective shows.

Lisa Peluso was a child actress but I don't know how old she was when she started on the soap opera Loving/The City (same show). She did end up on Another World.

This blind screams Mickey Mouse Club.

    ReplyDelete
  70. Used to watch reruns of MMC and always thought Cheryl was the pretty and popular one. That's too bad if true.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Well, at some point in this thread Plot is gonna jump in and deny that Disney has always been a pedo den?

    ReplyDelete
  72. Cheryl Holdridge and Elvis, Annette Funiciello and Walt - who was the rapist then in his 50's?

    ReplyDelete
  73. As soon as I started reading this I thought Annette and the MMC. Sadly, it sounds like Cheryl was the one passed around.

Whoever the man is who dumped her because she was "damaged" and the one who beat her so badly deserve a special place in hell.

    ReplyDelete
  74. @Hortensia

"People in NYC treat trump like he's a huge pile of smoldering, smellly dog sh__t"

Which is ironic since NYC created the man, singlehandedly. Y'all can blame the south for making him president all you like, but NYC has to accept the blame for making Trump who he is.

When the city decided to start worshipping wealth, in all it's forms, Trump is the natural outcome (along with other nasty-assed pretend billionaires up there.) When was Trump ever far from the NYC identity since he hit the scene?

    Own the fucker.

    ReplyDelete
  75. Hortensia, since 2016, it should have be very apparent to you that nobody gives a flying fuck what people in NYC think. Neither of Trump, nor in general.
But you're a fucking moron; nothing that obvious is apparent to you.

    ReplyDelete
  76. @Aoife,
Well, whoever said she was damaged goods had a point. She was sterile. If you want kids, that is.

    ReplyDelete
  77. @Depeche

"it should have be very apparent to you that nobody gives a flying fuck what people in NYC think."

Obviously you care very much what one person from NYC thinks (though thinking is not really part of his repertoire.)

If you worship the man, you are committed to worshiping the atmosphere where he was created. Take a knee.

    ReplyDelete
  78. Nah I really really REALLY don't. In fact, I know rather a few New Yorkers who like Trump and voted for him. Amongst them: a gay couple and minorities. So no, it's not 'all' NYC, and no: we don't give a flying fuck.

I don't need to take a knee, I have a great view standing up: watching you libtard losers scream and cry and protest, and foam at your mouths, while your eyes go all big and round and twitchy, is fucking priceless entertainment.

    ReplyDelete
  79. +1000 Depeche.
The gang that can't shoot straight.
I thought Trump was some loser who only got by on his daddy's money. Just some construction and real estate guy, failing upwards.
Now he is some powerful figure in even Hollywood?

Even some loser shut in dying in Florida thinks he is somebody special because he saw Deniro in a deli in Brooklyn in 1977.

    ReplyDelete
  80. " I have a great view standing up: watching you libtard losers scream and cry and protest, and foam at your mouths,"

    You are straining yourself dear.

    ReplyDelete
  81. The only problem with it being Elvis is he didn't even sleep with Priscilla until they were married and she was of age so I don't see how this could be Elvis. And Trump was well known at studio 54 in ,70s so.he could have also had a part in this cause he was a tycoon even in the 70 s but who knows. But mmc is a bad place but they do it everyone not just girls they have underground tunnels where they do their mk ultra mind control bs.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Kitten, I like the Cheryl Holdridge guess, it almost perfectly fits. EXCEPT the blind specifically say it isn't way back in old Hollywood, implying that it is more recent than the original MMC in the 1950's.
I don't think it is her and Elvis.
I am thinking it is more recent like somewhere in 70's to 90's.
The Trump guess is just retarded TDS crap. He had no power in Hollywood, the acting industry and casting. It is no more him than it is Bill Clinton.

I hope it gets a reveal!

    ReplyDelete
  83. I think this is 60s or 70s. Possibly 80s. I don't think it's the Micky Mouse Club from the 50s. It's too far back for this.

As for guesses? I think that too many girls would fit. While Disney fits for the angle of investment in a bigger company it could be any company really. But I could be wrong. Since it' television and the grammar on these blinds is often poor, the wording "This is not super Old Hollywood. If it involves television, than maybe it just back back in the day rather than Old Hollywood" is far too long winded and gets a bit confusing.

I have a theory that the bad writing here is like doctor's handwriting. Purposely poor quality for security reasons. If it's too confusing to dissect then any celebrity who has hurt feelings can't easily prove Enty is talking about them.

    ReplyDelete
  84. The timeline matches up too perfectly to not be Cheryl Holdridge.

So what if the 1950's may or may not be "super Old Hollywood"?

    ReplyDelete
  85. Jodi Lyn O’keef?

Another World-Replacement actor for Maggie Cory

Don Johnson for man who likes them young

She has no children to date.

    Just a guess

    ReplyDelete
  86. If you're A list in the 70's then you'd probably be A list nationwide. The only media then was mags, newspapers and television and I don't remember Trump doing tons of tv in the 70's. I can't imagine Enty would describe someone as A list if they were only known in one city.

    ReplyDelete
  87. No way this is Elvis. First off, Elvis didn't have sex with underage girls. His only sticking point was if they had a kid (Priscilla, Donna Douglas etc). All those young underage girls he hung with in the 50's admitted sex was not on the list. Also, this would put him right at the time of Priscialla moving to Memphis and Ann Margret. Right after Anne Helm and Juliet Prowse. Elvis loved dating co-stars at that time but only during the shoot. I can't see him putting any time into a 15 year old between his movie flings/priscilla and his precious time at Graceland.
