Blind Items Revealed #5

August 14, 2018

Never shy about finding a way to make a buck, this A list record executive/some time reality star who has been in the business longer than most of us have been alive has already booked a tribute concert at a world famous venue three months down the road for someone who is not even dead yet.

Clive Davis/Aretha Franklin (I think he could have waited a few days/weeks after she passed instead of doing it while she was still alive)

  1. Knowing she was going to pass soon, maybe he got a nod from her. It might of made her happy they were planning something for her and seeing some of it come together.

  2. Enty the two of them discussed this months before she died. She approved him to do it and told him she hoped she would be alive to attend. It was announced way before she passed for November because MSG needed to reserve the date for it.

  5. Thinking that anything that happens in the entertainment industry isn't strictly about money is your first mistake.

No one in Hollyweird cares about anyone or anything other than their own success and making money.

It's hard for most folks to comprehend but it takes a special kind of broken person to succeed in such an industry.

They are all equally despicable. Some hide it better than others.

  6. This is the same guy that had a huge party while Whitney Houston lay dead a couple of floors above.

  8. @DooDoo-----I completely agree with you, the saying is "what have u done for me lately"..
I don't think Aretha cared but as Whitney Houston said "Clive Davis is the devil", she was pronounced dead and they partied on her grave.
That was distasteful in my eyes.. He could have waited until her body was cold..
It's all about the bottom line MONEY

  9. Davis bailed out Whitney more than once. He didn't introduce her to crack.

  10. Cool. Will Madonna be headlining? Too bad Ms. Franklin couldn't have seen that leaving a will might be the #1 way to secure a legacy, and then plan a TV show. RIP tho.

  12. If it were a *memorial* , then that would be awful ... but a tribute is different and doesn't need a person to pass for it to happen. Maybe?

I have a feeling she was aware and supported it, possibly requesting it! Right before my dad passed away from cancer, he was very specific about what he wanted--a funeral in NY at Frank E. Campbell's, a memorial service in NJ where he worked, etc.
