Blind Item #9

This alliterate former A- list actor from back in the day doesn't work nearly as much as he used to. He basically has his hands tied about supporting his friend because the friend would leak some very damaging information about the former A- lister that would end his career.

And his possible gerbil fancy (that he tried to frame others)?

  3. Don't know what he is now but Stallone was never below A list for a couple decades...

  4. Wouldn't Sly be A+ back in the day of Rocky and Rambo?

  5. Just a guess but it used to be a running joke that there was no job Michael Caine would turn down...

  6. Oh alliterate name never mind !

  7. I'll throw in Kevin Kline, but I have NO idea what seedy people he hangs out with.

  8. Stallone has a lot on his plate and is permanent A list, it's not him.

  9. He probably was A+ in the 80s started slipping in the 90s. Not sure he's A-list now.

  10. Emilio Estevez is another option.

  11. Not feeling Sly or Emilio for this one, the rating would be higher for Sly and thought Emilio was a good guy.

  12. Nah, Emilio is not a good guy. That’s carefully crafted.

But I don’t think his career would be tanked by any revealing info either. He flies too far below the radar for that.

  14. Always forget Kevin Kline. What happened to him? I used to love him. He probably has a ton of secrets too....

    1. Love him too. Was just watching Big Chill yesterday (classic but not for all). In fact I said to my hubby one of the funniest lines in a movie I love (High Fidelity-which is largely about music), was Jack Blacks character citing his “Top Ten songs of all time”. His number 2 was The Stones/Sympathy For The Devil and his colleague goes—“automatic disqualification forbuts association with The Big Chill 😂

As for KK-straight laced dude. Worst thing he’s probably done is wear lingerie and heels for kicks😉

    2. @Tricia I love 'The Big Chill!' Such a brilliant film. My Mum adored William Hurt and Kevin Kline so I saw it a few times. Always found him very attractive in a cheeky way. Must watch it again soon.

    3. I can deal with KK being a bit kinky but anything more sinister- I would be gutted!

    4. I love William hurt -was so beautiful in that film.
IRL out of the 2—he’s definitely more sinister than KK I think!
Watch it again and look at the use of the song... also Jeff Goldblum gives an understated, very funny performance:)

    6. Best line was RE: the debate over the importance of rationalization vs. masturbation... he being in in fervent support of the former says “c’mon-when was the last time you went a week without rationalizing something?!”( or like that)

    7. I remember! When I hear The Rolling Stones 'You can't always get what you want' I always remember it as being at the start of the film. Jeff Goldblum definitely had charisma in that film. Funny, we don't seem to get that pedigree of acting anymore.

  15. Wil Wheaton is best friends with Chris Hardwick

  16. The thing about "would want to support but other person would leak damaging information" is weird.

  17. Emilio is Charlie Sheen's brother, so can never be ruled out for anything.

  18. Good lord, Kevin Kline isn’t doing nothing! He’s brilliantly voicing the character Calvin Fischoeder on the alliterately named animated show “Bob’s Burgers.” Not sure if “alliterately” is actually a word, but since it comes up so frequently on here, I’ve been wanting to use it in a sentence. Also, I love love love Bob’s Burgers!!! All the characters are awesome and I consider Linda Belcher my role model for all things in life.

  19. This is definitely Wil Wheaton. He got a lot of flack for releasing a non-statement the day after the Hardwick allegations broke, referring to him as his "best friend," and probably deleted his twitter because of it all.

  20. @s.s.

I still think you're wrong but Michael Caine's real name is Maurice Mickelwhite. So don't be too downhearted.

  21. Was Wheaton ever A-? Maybe around Stand By Me, I guess. But he's barely acted for most of his career now, so I don't think it quite fits. He's acting again in recent years but there were decades of just... blogging.

  22. Not Kevin Kline. He is a stand up, classy and enduring talent. He & his wife are lovely people. The French adore him! He has been working steadily, most recent in Beauty & The Beast.

  23. +1 for Wil Wheaton, he would be A- in the comic con circles, and he is in the news these days for leading the delete twitter campaign.

He is a male feminist , so if his best friend Hardwick has stuff on him, no block bot could save him from the backlash

  24. OK... Im a newby... what does aliterate mean? Can they not read? Is that it? no I doubt it. Can someone fill me in please?
Also, Wil Wheaton is such a loser. Who in any universe, cares about what he thinks? He was the boy wonder on st tng, but beyond that and the pedo movie he was in, how does he really count for anything?

    1. @Jeff, "alliterative" (or "aliterate" as Enty likes to say, possibly enjoying the word's similarity to "illiterate"/"unable to read and write") means that the words all start with the same letter.

So the phrase "car crash" is alliterative, as are names like "Wil Wheaton," "Kevin Kline," and so on.

  27. Billy Bob Thornton is ILLITERATE per his own report

  28. Hwill Hwheaton is a male feminist and those usually turn out to be S class pervs who abuse women. I don't really like Wesley. I find him annoying.

  29. Billy Bob can say he's illiterate, but you and I know he wrote Sling Blade, first as a play, and then adapted it into a screenplay.

  30. Billy Bob wrote The Gift also
    Based on his childhood with
A mother that read people’s cards
    For cash
