Another day, another random d/l discovery: my other first year college roommate - known at the time for setting the next door kid's bed and belongings and nearly the building on fire (no, not very original, or especially funny); the first one was the one who introduced me to the cellist, and subsequently died of an o/d. It appears he married a Muslim woman and converted to Islam. Wonder what he'll think of the dancing boy saga...
I was listening to an A.J. Benza podcast, and he was talking about Nathan Forrest Winter. It made me think of DB...
ReplyDeleteI'm eating donuts.....
ReplyDeleteNot much like the rest of us probably. Can we stop these now please? No-one cares
ReplyDeleteHmmm. Donuts.
ReplyDeleteHow is their conversion relevant to the saga?
ReplyDeleteAs previously mentioned I haven't read all of DB (I fell off the wagon a few months in then just started reading them again) so I'm assuming I've missed an important detail that connects this!
And I join the chorus of those who really don't care about these horrible fan fiction DB blinds.
ReplyDeleteCould you and the others choose to not read them?
DeleteOr is it, like, a mandatory thing you must complete on threat of death?
*reply here (or)
*Slip a note the pizza delivery guy and we'll come save you
I just ate some coconut greek yoghurt and picked some prickly pear fruit in my garden (also limes) which I plan to experiment with later in a margarita. It seems the nectar is a hangover suppressant! Must try.
ReplyDeletePrickly pear margaritas are amazing.
DeleteLA Native - that margarita sounds amazing! would definitely be refreshing in the heat we have in NYC right now
ReplyDeleteI am wishing ill-will to Dancing Boy.
ReplyDeleteYou sound nice.
Deletemmm soup today
ReplyDeleteHow can he think anything about the db saga if he died of an OD? These are supposed to be blinds not confessionals. If his wife has some significance maybe put more emphasis to that fact.
ReplyDeleteWhat does anything you just said have to do with donuts??
DeletePlease stay on topic!!!
Forgot which thread I was in sorry.
DeleteCarl's jr just release fruit loop donuts.
https://people.com/food/froot-loops-donuts-fruit-loop-carls-jr-hardees/
They look disgusting, but I'd give one a try if I was ever forced back to carl's jr.
@Ophelia it does, doesnt it? Wish I could post pics. I am in NE Florida and you are actually hotter than us right now, I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteHere is a link about the fruit

Pictures posted later on at my twitter acct @pvsiren
ReplyDeleteI want one of those Margaritas, @LA Native. That sounds pretty tremendous. Maybe if I have 4 or 5 I can tolerate these DB Blinds.
ReplyDelete@LA Native I just followed you on twitter, so that I can see pics of your Margarita, later. (Nice feed btw - colorful).
ReplyDeleteI wonder if 'Dancing Boy' reads these comments? It's like the media in the UK. Once he was loved and now we've destroyed the poor bloke....
ReplyDeletewhat is dancing boy
ReplyDeleteThanks @Tuesdi! Back atcha!
ReplyDelete@LA Native those look difficult to eat but good! And yes - my old apartment is not equipped for this type of heat.
ReplyDelete@Amy I've wondered that as well. So many like this one don't seem to connect though that I'm wondering if Enty just asks for something each day because of the comments that they generate.
Are the DB blinds not clearly labeled in the titles for everyone?
ReplyDeleteI thought DB stood for douche bag. Not sure what that has to do with donuts and margaritas? Which is kinda an interesting combo. There is the local Chinese Food and Donuts place I've always wanted to try though
DeleteIs dancing boy trying to alienate his greatest defender Geej the tiger?š¤š®
ReplyDeleteBLT sandwich, no B, no L.
ReplyDelete‘‘Tis the season
It is two different roommates, one O'd, the other converted to Muslim. But are either of these people famous or infamous?
ReplyDelete"The first one" suggest it's going to be about at least two people but "the first one" + "he married" makes it sound as if he's talking about the same person. I dont even think DB knows whats going on half of the time.
DeleteYou could check around to try and find out who ken had for a college roommate, but it's not clear why we should bother.
@Guesser
DeleteTwo college roommates. The second converted to Islam.
The first one he has mentioned before: The roommate ended up hanging with and I think selling drugs to Michael Alig & the Club Kids back in the day. He managed to avoid jail (I think) and get clean at some point, and worked as an addiction counselor. Sadly, he relapsed and OD'd. Or should we say "OD'd" because it was unexpected and suspicious.
(The cellist refers to Zoe Keating, who was friends with this roommate.)
That's great, Dancing Boy. How's the auditioning of beautiful young boys coming along?
ReplyDeletePhilly cheese steak, Cole slaw, buffalo fries, pickle and a bottle of sparkling ice (flavored club soda) for lunch. Try on Thursdays for 1 enormous meal and nothing else the rest of the day to eat. This worked.
ReplyDeleteJust a random thought but are any DB blind items ever gonna be revealed?
ReplyDeleteJust another random thought.... Would anybody really care?
Delete@LA Native The Costco business center near where I live sells cases of little bottles of prickly-pear lemonade. Perfect with 4 ounces of tequila. Ima take a look at your Twitter, your homegrown ones sound amazing!
ReplyDeleteAll my garden has is giant zucchini and shit loads of green tomatoes due to the smoke from all the wildfires nearby.
Green tomato recipes?
Why are these never revealed? Wait... I know the answer.
ReplyDelete@cc423
DeleteDancing Boy often reveals them himself in subsequent blinds.
I have a few questions. Are most db blinds written my multiple persons (or personalities?)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2018/02/blind-item-13-dancing-boy-there-is.html?m=1
Some seem so coherent:
http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2018/01/blind-item-10-dancing-boy.html?m=1
Or is "Enty" responsible for butchering them?
"I have left this one as is from the person who sent it in because I think their voice is important to the context."
written by* not "my"
DeleteHaving roasted red pepper cauliflower pizza.
ReplyDeleteafter that lunch sandy, not many calories left for the day lol
ReplyDeleteSimon are cauliflower crusts good? Do they hold up to the sauces and toppings and can they be folded? Any pizza slice that cant be folded is a no good pizza.
ReplyDeleteDamn right Jimbonius. I suspect it was at least 2500 calories.
ReplyDeleteI've been wanting to try cauliflower crust pizza.
ReplyDelete@Donna good to know on both parts! I was at Costco two days ago, dammit. Its not super close by.
ReplyDeleteWe make fried green tomato eggs benedict here at my weekend pool parties and use buttermilk for a dredge and cajun spice in the flour mixture. They are really damn good.
also 4 ounces of tequila...hahaa that sounds xlnt. I jalapeƱo infuse my mixing tequila so this afternoons prickly pear margarita will have that in it, too. I cant wait! Its a bit early yet for me.
GEORGE CLOONY MUSLIM CONVERT
ReplyDeleteMy goodness, I've been missing the party. I see those DB headlines and just scroll past. I can't even fight a fork through the dreary word salad served up in these 'blinds'.
ReplyDeleteI had to see what everyone was talking about and realised this must be where the CDAN Recipe page lives. Been meaning to click on that for a while.
I'm having a nice cup of tea. Actually, you know what, it isn't that nice. It's been reheated twice and tea isn't the same since I gave up dairy. Just bravely sipping on.
The cauliflower crusts I've seen are still full of carbs and calories. Not worth it - might as well have the real thing.
ReplyDeleteMy roommate back in college had cauliflower ear from too much wrestling....
ReplyDeleteCauliflower ears are bizarre! Rugby players get them too. They freak me out a bit....
Delete@LA Native, I followed you too and retweeted the Bee story. I loved it!
ReplyDeleteLove your pic Shaddup. I went from Awww to Whoah back to Aww again! That’s funny.
ReplyDeleteHe will probably think the "Dancing boy saga" is a huge load of horseshit like everyone else.
ReplyDeleteDancing Boy Funko Pops! to debut at New York City Comicon.
ReplyDelete@Heatherbee, thanks, I think it's pretty cool too!
ReplyDeleteHe will think you sold out ..won't go to the cops but will make a movie to line your pockets ..you ever noticed that these predators pick the right victims ..they don't pick the ones who go to the cops they pick the greedy self serving assholes like Feildmen cuz they know these weaklings will not fight back or report them and know they are a cash based personality like Rose..like Asia..like Db...like Feildman a little cash and they don't care about the next victim..so yeah that's what he's thinking sell your soul again for a little fame and money me personally I would dig ditches before allowing myself to be the victim my whole life

Their fame doesn't matter, they're just set decoration. Dancing Boy began his blind with "Another day, another random d/l discovery: my other first year college roommate..." then DB wraps it up with "Wonder what he'll think of the dancing boy saga...".
Those are the only statements worth considering, and it seems to me he just gave a little background, ending by musing about what his former roomie will think about him once everything is revealed in his saga.
His phrasing in the first part though, "random d/l discovery", gives me pause to wonder. I wonder if the "d/l" part applies to his now-Islamic former roomie.
Ooh, that's seen interesting question. The other roommate was openly gay, but I wonder about this one now. š¤
DeleteYep; I agree with everyone guessing the converted muslim was once gay and DB is wondering aloud if the convert will have a problem with being outed in his book/movie.
