Pretty crazy to have this A+ list coach spouting off about morals clauses after what he did. Apparently the clauses only applied to people other than himself. He was perfectly allowed to violate them as he saw fit.
If he told his bosses, he's probably in the clear legally. (I don't know what came of yesterday's meeting, if anything.) I think this blind refers to another one about an A+ list coach who had an affair with a student or employee of the school, and boosters had to pay blackmail to the girl and he had to pay off his wife to stick around. This one is saying he's a hypocrite, basically.
I've just discovered some of the best entertainment on youtube, colin cowherd or shannon/skip. I have no idea what these people are talking about but boy do they do it in an amusing way. Sure beats shearer or murphy on MOM2. This has been bubbling for a while, the corruption in college sports is breathtaking.
Aaron Hernandez played for him at Florida, there was a murder in Gainesville and Hernandez was a suspect. Urban worked to get him off the hook with the cops. After Hernandez killed himself it came out he probably did kill the person in Gainesville, not his posse. Many players he recruits are borderline criminals or outright criminals.
In addition to looking the other way of his player's shenanigans while coaching UF, Urban was porking a cheerleader who was a grad student. Common knowledge with SEC football people.
Not surprising, in many ways. As a person who was raised in Columbus, the head coach of the buckeyes football team walks on water, especially if you give them national titles (and beat Michigan). He would have to have killed someone and was caught by the pope with the murder weapon before he would get fired. Or start losing games. Especially Michigan games. Sad but true.
Holy shit, my daughter spent over eight years in Gainesville getting her PhD. From '98 - '06ish. I thank god she stayed safe with all the POS's around.
Hayes was much more hotheaded and violent, he was a ticking timebomb, sort of like Bobby Knight at Indiana. Meyer is an arrogant douche, but he's not stupid enough to punch a player on national TV.
Urban Meyer

ReplyDeleteHe's been a sleaze for a long time. Not surprised in the least.
ReplyDeleteSurprised he got 3 games and not 4. In any event it is an appropriate penalty. He wasn't losing his job over that.
ReplyDeleteA lot of people are pretty upset about how he handled the situation and how he only got a slap on the wrist so yes this makes sense as a blind.

ReplyDeleteWow suspended for three games, how devastating. When most people get in trouble they get fired, not sent on vacation.

ReplyDeleteThis is true hhstarr but they fired Woody Hayes, who was a legend and Tressel for fucking up. If Hayes can be fired so can this POS.
