Blind Item #3

This back in the day A list mostly movie actress who crashed and burned when she tried to self medicate is on an entirely different kind of drugs these days. Unable to pay her bill to her drug dealer, she instead films herself with tween boys and girls and gives the product to the dealer who sells it to others. Apparently this has been going on for awhile but she managed to keep it super secret until some fellow party goers stole her stuff.

Eighties movie star Sean Young, best known for her role in “Blade Runner,” is wanted for questioning by the NYPD in connection with a Queens burglary, law enforcement sources said.

The 58-year-old, who has largely fallen out of celebrity and has battled alcoholism in the past, was caught on surveillance video Thursday swiping two Apple laptops and video production software from a business called “School of Old” in Astoria, Queens, police sources said.

The video showed Young and another man breaking in, sources said.

The laptops are valued at $12,000.

Young worked at the location sometime in the past but was fired months ago, TMZ reported.

  13. It happens, folks!

You are A+ List one day, then...without warning, you are "teaching" -- or even worse -- working retail!

(Years ago, I ran into a 'producer' of a hit TV show in the 1980's who was managing a Las Vegas Guitar Center.)

Happens more to lesser level celebrities than any A+ List celebrity, but it happens.

Young has been out of her mind for a long time. Even as a teenager, there are stories about her. I hope her kids are okay and not around her too much anymore. This theft is going to lead somewhere, and Enty's guess is as good as any other.

  22. Let's break it down for Maryplott!

    1. Sean Young is producing child porn in exchange for drugs.
    2. Her dealers take the CP and sell it to the buyers.
    3. Sean Young started doing some harder drug which was only discovered after someone stole and ingested it, thinking it was something else.
    4. Sean Young is now stealing laptops from a shady Nevada LLC with Hollywood ties, and wanted by the NYPD
    5. Solve for why stealing those laptops was so vital to the point that the likely dealers even reported it to the police because they can flip on a network before anyone else gets their hands on the incriminating information, people start hanging from door knobs, and other mishaps.

  24. Damn Sean Young, what a waste... I like to think if she hadn't fallen off that horse and lost the role of Vicki Vale in the first Batman, things would have turned out different.

Instead she's making kiddie porn for drugs.

    What a world.

  25. Even overpriced Apple laptops shouldn't be valued at $6k each.

    ReplyDelete
  26. With what could potentially be on those laptops, I'd say they're worth $120,000 and potentially into and upwards of 7 figures depending on who you can link shit to if they're not scrubbed/destroyed/NY Harbored

    ReplyDelete
  27. Welp, according to the BI the porn is already out there in the world. So why steal the macs if the porn isn't limited to being just on them? Sure, for drugs, gotcha but how much are Sean and her buddy going to make selling those? Why not something a bit more lucrative?

Also, the store wasn't open during the day when Sean broke in? Strange business. I'd like to know more about it.

Why would anyone pay for porn of 58 year old Sean? Doesn't make sense, even with the addition of the Great Pedo Adventure added for the obvious titillation of the Salivating Pedo Hunters around here.

  30. Again, the BI states that these videos are already out there, so the originals don't matter at all, to anyone, for evidentiary purposes or otherwise.

  39. This isn't about the produced content that has already been distributed online. The laptops and the data on them are valuable because they likely contain raw uncut footage, which would be incriminating evidence.

Investigators assigned to CP work very hard trying to identify, how, where, when, who, and for whom the content was made. This laptop would be a goldmine for police, because it likely will contain some raw footage that can possibly identify the producers. The primary goal of CP investigations is never about catching the people who pay for the garbage. It is always focused on who is producing it. That's why there is regular controversy regarding the FBI and their sting operations online. Often they'll compromise a website with illegal content only to monitor it for months with the intent of collecting as much information as possible about uploaders.

Sean Young probably isn't intelligent enough to cover her tracks electronically. Meaning, the data could also potentially lead to the people purchasing/funding her videos. Sadly, knowing that the heat is already on her I wouldn't be surprised to learn if those laptops have disappeared entirely. NYPD has their work cut out for them, but if she and her accomplice are caught the chances of being brought up on CP distribution charges are low.

Don't be surprised to learn later that she will only be charged with burglary/theft and face a minimal sentence without a mention of the more serious allegations.

  41. She obviously wasn't smart enough to wear a disguise when she broke in.

Years ago there was gossip that Sean Young had an affair with James Woods. He broke it off, and supposedly Sean Young sent dozens of dead roses to Madonna, who was with Woods next. Young got fired from the film.

  42. Increasingly erratic actress Sean Young made the leap from working with pet detectives in the movies to dealing with police in real life.

NYPD investigators searched Friday for the troubled co-star of the films “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective” and “Blade Runner” after she and her son were videotaped burglarizing an Astoria movie production office, cops said.

The hard-drinking Young was fired by the production company months ago for boozing on the job — including lunch hours in which she downed 16 glasses of wine, said one former colleague.

“I really hope she’s OK,” said stand-up comedian Greg Kritikos, who had a falling out with Young as the pair worked on a movie about his life this past March. “It is sad. Part of me wants to see good in people, and this is not good thinking on her behalf.”

Mother and child allegedly used a key to slip inside the School of Old/Pendragon Pictures Production offices in Queens around noon on Thursday. Young, 58, allegedly ignored an offer of amnesty from the business if she returned the stolen property — valued at $12,000.

The purported theft occurred while the film’s crew was shooting in an Astoria park, with a pair of MacBooks worth $5,000 each along stolen along with video production software. Both Young and her son remained free and were not yet charged with any crime in the heist, according to cops.

A pair of videos showed two people believed to be Young and one of her sons, in broad daylight, loading furniture and other items into the back of an SUV parked outside the office. The woman said to be Sean Young climbs behind the wheel as the pair make their getaway.

Young said Friday evening it was misunderstanding — she believed the two laptops were hers, and that she’d left them behind when she worked with Kritikos.

“I was expected and had confirmed my expected arrival with the buildings owner,” Young’s said in a statement issued by her publicist.

“When I arrived nobody was there to receive me, but the door was unlocked and I assumed it had been left open so that I could pick up my belongings.”

Actress Sean Young, pictured with Harrison Ford in 'Blade Runner" is being sought for questioning by the NYPD, according to officials. (Warner Bros.)

In the statement, Young said she mistakenly took the wrong laptops. She said she will return the two laptops she took, and hopes to pick up the two laptops that belong to her.

The incident was just the latest public stumble for the oft-addled actress, who struggled with alcoholism as her once-promising Hollywood career slowly faded into obscurity. As of Friday morning, detectives had not reached Young or her son, police sources said.

Kritikos said he sent Young a text after the burglary, giving the actress a one-hour window to return the stolen laptops with no recriminations after he and colleague Timothy Hines viewed the damning video. When she never responded, the two men contacted police.

“Charges have been pressed against you and your son,” Kritikos wrote. “Please be smart and contact me ASAP so we can handle this wisely. The sad part of all this is you dragged your son into it.”

Young complained in her statement that Hines had sent her “threatening voice mails” and making “untrue slanderous statements to the press.” She said Hines “suffers from PTSD” — why she said that is unclear. She also said she had not been in contact with police over the alleged burglary.

Young appeared destined for stardom, not scorn, when she landed in Hollywood. She made her mark from the early ’80s through the early ’90s, garnering praise for her roles opposite big stars in box office hits: Harrison Ford in “Blade Runner,” Kevin Costner in “No Way Out” and Jim Carrey in “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective.”

"I can't believe the contrast between how smart you think you are and how smart you actually are sometimes"

I'm NOT that smart actually, just demanding and I try to pay attention to events with something other than my Thrilling Pedo Boner. I guess that makes me smart in these parts. Lemme tell you that it doesn't in other parts of the world and in other communities. I'm strictly average...or lower.

Now, in order to prove how very average I am, why don't you explain what "hard copy" means in the digital age and disabuse me of my notions. See, as I understand it, digital information now means that copies are identical to source material and any shenanigans in the code are quickly recognized without the "hard copy" as comparison - hence how Julian Assange was caught editing video without anyone accessing source.

So, am I wrong? Now here is how we may differ considerably. If I'm wrong, I'd LOVE to know about it because I don't like staying wrong, no matter how mediocre and average my brain is.

So help a girl out here. Teach me something.

  47. I’m guessing that Sean’s face would not be visible in the videos, I also do not think anyone buying the videos would be interested in Sean Young or anyone else who is facilitating child porn videos. It’s clearly the kids/tweens they are interested in. Yes, there may be copies floating around the dark web, but if they contain no identifiable content of Young then it’s harder to trace. However, if that laptop was the one she produced and edited the child porn on then she can be identified as the producer of the videos. It’s likely to contain her dealers contact information or at least name, maybe emails of messages discussing the transactions. Possibly even names of who the dealer would be distributing to. She can try to scrub all this evidence but a good forensic analyst will find it easily. That is why the laptop is so important to her and why she would risk taking part in a robbery to get it back.

  48. @Sal

Those interested in porn with minors, or pedo porn, wouldn't pay for Sean Young to be having sex with them. No 58 year old woman is going to make that porn more special. In fact, it would be a huge turn off, I imagine. On the other hand, what I know about any type of porn is very limited.

Still, I like your explanation, nonetheless.

Knowing a little bit about Young's personality, what I think is that she has been building up some fantasy (through a drunken haze) of this company "owing" her something for a few months now. She wanted the company laptops with their filming on it. She also took furniture. I suspect she thinks she is holding the filming hostage, and she very well could be. But it's not going to end up well for her kid who she induced to play a role in this.
