Blind Item #12

Never shy about finding a way to make a buck, this A list record executive/some time reality star who has been in the business longer than most of us have been alive has already booked a tribute concert at a world famous venue three months down the road for someone who is not even dead yet.

  7. Aretha, Bob Dylan, Stevie Wonder... there are a few real legends around, but not many.

  8. She's at home in hospice, heavily medicated. She's always been a private person and actually handled most all of her work herself.
TMZ reporting she's down to 87 lbs. is correct. Pancreatic cancer.

  9. She's not gone yet but her death is coming, so planning a tribute to her is not as awful as Enty implies.

  10. David Foster & Aretha. This seems more on the practical side & less on the horrific side. It looks like Ms. Franklin will soon make her heavenly transition and she should be honored.

  13. I hope it is not Ahmet Ertegun & Aretha Franklin. Though Clive Davis I could DEFINITELY see doing this.

  14. Gospel(blues,r/b) singers literally came from the american church. They were allowed/supposed to *feel* the music/spirit and it shows. The tend away from the church is showing in the lack of real, raw talent.

  15. Ertegun is dead,so not him

  16. It's all good. Why not honor her while she's still alive?

Elton John is doing his "Farewell Tour" this year. Good for him and I'll be there... I'd love to see him one last time b4 it's too late (ie, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Prince etc..)
