  1. I’m still haunted by that shooting at the Gap.
There were so many casual tees.

  2. Honey Bunches of Oats. I got prizes from Cracker Jacks not cereal. Nothing worth keeping.

  3. When I was growing up way back in Massachusetts, I liked Oatmeal -- that I would add maple syrup and raisins to -- to enhance the flavor.

    =)

  5. Cinnamon Toast Crunch. I haven't had it (or any other sugary breakfast cereal) in years and I miss it.

  6. Mix them up, variety is the spice of life. Don't remember many of the cereal prizes.

Anybody remember the Slurpee tokens they used to have on the bottom of the cups?

  8. Count Chocula was always my favorite. Back in the 60's, we got 45 records off the back of cereal boxes. I remember one from the Monkees.

  11. Reese's Puffs. I haven't had them in years, but yum. Favorite prize is not from a cereal box, but I had the Frito Bandito eraser and loved it!

  13. Memories - I remember begging my mother for some sugary cereal, can't remember which one - as we always had non-sugar cereal (rice krispies, cheerios, etc). I begged for it, because the box had a FREE (KNOCK OFF) BARBIE DOLL on the cover. My mom caved and bought it, but it there wasn't a pseudo barbie inside, you had to collect a bunch of box tops and mail them with $2.00 for S&H. This was 1971-ish, and $2 to my mom was a lot for S&H. I didn't get the doll, but that's ok, I got a barbie plaza for Christmas.

  14. King Vitaman... Those cutout masks in the back of the boxes, for some reason interest me a lot as a child.

  16. Frosted Flakes. I got cool color changing spoons that were temperature sensitive, and I think one time I got Hotwheels. I love cereal, actually...Frosted Mini-wheats, Cap'n Crunch, Apple Jacks, Cinnamon Life, Golden Crisp, Grape Nuts...I'm hungry.

    Best “prize in a box”?

  19. Bill & Ted's Excellent Cereal was pretty good. The prize was a plastic box shaped like a phone booth, with the cartoon likenesses shown through the windows (stickers). I kept paperclips and that kind of thing inside. It might have even been a backpack clip, I can't remember.

  26. When I was a kid, there was this one called Dinky Donuts, it was like tiny glazed donuts! And both fruity and cocoa Pebbles. I love granola with raisins nowadays. I know I talked my mom into many boxes because of prizes, but none are memorable.

  27. When I was a kid it was Captain Crunch with Crunch Berries. The best prize was sending in box tops for a Toucan Sam.

  28. Vanilla and peanut butter crunch!! Getting a frosted flake stuck in your throat hurts like hell. Prefer think thin oatmeal these days. 7 grams of sugar and is delicious. Best prize? I think that record but it was not the Monkees!
