This probable permanent A list singer/network reality star can say what she likes about her ticket sales, but the fact is, the owner of the establishment is comping them like crazy just to get the place to even look like it is close to capacity. People are being begged to go.

Gwen Stefani
Hey everybody, come see a pancake-faced gal sing in baby-talk!
ReplyDeleteIn her brightest dreams and nobody else's is she permanent A list.
ReplyDeleteI thought the hoi loved Gwen Stefani?
Delete(Sandy, not calling you hoi, just making a statement that I thought the rubes in flyover thought she was tops)
As if she’s permanent A list. Who’d give her a residency and expect it to sell out?!
ReplyDeleteRock and Roll McDonald's, Olympia Fields IL?
ReplyDeleteSay all the nasty things you want about her but Tragic Kingdom was a milestone album and sold almost 20 million copies worldwide. Along with Alanis, Gwen was the 90s voice of female empowerment and influenced a generation.
ReplyDeleteShe can't sing and never really could. Anybody who watches her ridiculous show is either gay or extremely bored.
ReplyDeleteInfluenced a generation... the one that watches reality TV today.
ReplyDeleteFor that we're so grateful.
Yeah, what are her hit songs that you'd pay to hear again?
ReplyDeleteGwen was my guess but permanent A list? She definitely was former A list until she started dating Blake. That's why she'll stay with him no matter what
ReplyDeleteGwen without No Doubt is not a fun show. The energy is lacking
ReplyDeleteshe taught a generation how to spell bananas
ReplyDeleteDepending on how big the production is, low ticket sales can mean disaster on the financials. I'm assuming Gwenski is still travelling around with her Anime dance troupe and back up singers. Lighting, sound, crew, buses, gas, hotels, etc. etc. Shit adds up real fast. With no fans in the building to buy merch? Yikes.
ReplyDeleteThe greatest concert I have ever been to was a No Doubt show. I was insanely late and only got to see them perform 3 songs, but Gwen was absolute Dynamite. I've never seen someone perform like her.
ReplyDeleteCan't stand her.
ReplyDeleteI like her and like her music. I wish someone would give me comp tickets. I'd be there in a flash.
ReplyDeleteShe’s awful without her No Doubt band mates. Ironically Dreamcar smokes anything she’s ever done on her own. But she’s “the face” so there you have it.
ReplyDeleteAnd I agree that No Doubt is amazing as a live act.
Every time I hear the term 'female empowerment' I die a little inside.
ReplyDeleteIt's bananas, b a n a n a s.
I feel so empowered right now.
She's such a great advocate for female empowerment, that she needs to fake a relationship with someone who can barely stand her, and release fake stories about never-gonna-happen weddings or pregnancies. Such a strong and confident role model. You go girl.
ReplyDeleteThe rating systems on this site are an absolute joke
