ReplyDeleteJason HAS GOT to be THE cleanest looking and acting dude on television for generations and he has done a pretty good job of maintaining that aura for quite some time. Of course we have seen him take some... interesting roles for his type of schtick and we have been privvy to a disagreement here or there (punching STANDARD HOTELS OWNER Andre Balazs for groping his wife), to me there's where the real story is.
ReplyDeleteThere seems to be something more though there with him on this latest season of Arrested Development. I'm not sure if age is catching up, pressures of scheduling or the fact he works so damn much but you look stressed Jason.
I've come to accept the fact that there should be no idols in hollywood and in reality there really are none but I've always believed there should be decent role models if those forms of entertainment are to exist. Unfortunately Hollywood has probably hit pretty low on the charts when we really look at the true content in the inventory.
I know I'll probably stick my foot in my mouth at some point down the road on this but I have always admired Bateman's wit, humor and stature. It's relatively good to see this is the only thing Enty has on him as of yet.

ReplyDeleteI saw Bateman sitting in a wheelchair back in the late 80's. He crashed his truck in a race at Pocono, and was in the hallway of the emergency room waiting to be seen. Broke his foot if I remember right.

I must confess for a long time I wrote him off as an actor. I don't know why. I thought he did a great job in THE GIFT. He owned that role. Hope this isn't the real Jason Bateman! I only watched it for Joel Edgerton. I totally adore him.
