I loved all of the 4H blinds, but I think this one is my favorite. I love INXS so much and thought Jon was so hot. They were definitely my favorite band at that time and MH was so talented and good looking. He was definitely from another planet.
ReplyDeleteI resisted them because my older sister was obsessed, so I had to be different. Maturity has allowed me to love them wholly lol. I saw Jon once at the ARIAS. It was the year Natalie Imbruglia and Daniel Johns hooked up.
DeleteWell done everyone who guessed correctly in the original blinds.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic series of events about one of my favourite bands of all time INXS. Great work, Himmmm.
Wow. I think all of this had been figured out previously, but still, what a story! And H3 confirmed. Thanks again for sharing this with us!
ReplyDeleteH1-4 Loved this blind ... Thank you so much for sharing, and trusting us to appreciate your life experiences.
ReplyDeleteto the Himmmms: love all of your blinds, however the "stories" are the best. And the INXS story is the very best: a concert that managed to be spectacular in the visual and recording sense, and a magical night after. H3 - thank you for being a stand up person!
ReplyDeleteAfter reading his BI back then I went and watched the concert on YouTube. I guess you had to be there. But for the most part 60-70,000 people seemed to enjoy most of it.
ReplyDeleteI loved INXS then, still listen to them today. From cassettes to CD’s to iPods, the music is eternal. Thanks for the memories, Himmmm(s).
ReplyDeleteI loved this blind too, it was Outstanding, anyway of collating all the parts together so can send to people ??
ReplyDeleteI really wanted to send the story to a friend who I think would have enjoyed it, but CDAN isn't great for such things in its current form.
When I read it I looked up the concert, absolutely awesome, Hutchence was a special guy
Maybe you can try copying and pasting it all into a word document yourself? I think you can copy off this format
ReplyDeleteYou really gonna call Debbie Harry "Blondie?" Seriously?
ReplyDeleteSo glad for this blind. I have watched the concert multiple times on YouTube since!!
ReplyDeleteLoved INXS then, still do now.
This is one of my favorite blinds of all time, I mean I just started reading in November but still.
ReplyDeletetetsujin - The fact that you stuck "seriously" onto the end of your comment makes me hope everyone calls her Blondie from now on.
ReplyDelete@I'm Outraged!
ReplyDeleteYou sound like a 12 year old virgin.
Love this story! Huge INXS fan and your story made my day. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteToo bad Michael Hutchence got mixed up in that Bob Geldof mess
ReplyDeleteI think he’d still be here today
Someone help me out...H3 is confirmed as INXS person here, but alluded to a talented and successful film director in the twitter universe. Which is it?
ReplyDeleteI posted this in one of the other parts but I assume this is the part where Hutchence plays the Guitar? Skip ahead to 1:30:00 in the video - Hutchence plays the guitar: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAMqidt6B_A
ReplyDelete(skip ahead to 1:30:00)
aw.
I remember INXS when they were a pub band here in Perth mid 80s. Always riveting especially Michael. Glad to hear Bowie was nice too.
ReplyDeleteThis was a great blind, thanks for the reveal!
ReplyDeleteSo would Kim Wolfe's other hit besides Kids In America be her Bee Gees cover of If I can't have you?
ReplyDeleteDamn she was sexy in that video.
