This serial killer has admitted to almost a handful of killings. They were pretty famous at the time they happened. The thing is though, those are not the only kills he is responsible for. There are at least two more. One of the kills was of someone who had a number one best selling book and the subject of a very highly rated made for television movie. The serial killer made it look like an accident, did a crappy job if it, but still got away with it. His second kill was of a relative who molested the serial killer. Everyone assumed the serial killer was responsible, but no one could admit it. Recently, the serial killer has been telling his story to a couple of inmates who have been sharing it to others and now new charges could be brought against the serial killer.
Serial killer: Cary Stayner
Author/television movie: brother Steven ("I Know My First Name is Steven") (died in a motorcycle accident in 1989)
Relative: Uncle Jesse

ReplyDeleteI know murder is more severe than sexual abuse in the court of law, but I’m not so sure he should face charges for killing a child molester. This could qualify as a kindness blind.
ReplyDelete@AC
DeleteCary Staynor hunted down women and killed them by his own admission. How is that kind?
@TW I was talking exclusively about the molester of an uncle. Sorry if I didn’t make that clear.
Delete@AC
DeleteI apologize to you. I did not understand.
Thank you for your kindness.
@AC
DeleteI forgot to say that Staynor is already on death row, California has a moratorium on capital punishment.
I talk about this sad case in the comments for the original post of this blind.
For a second there when I read Uncle Jesse I thought it was a reference to Denver Pyle in Dukes of Hazzard...
ReplyDeleteI got you beat bobious my Uncle Jesse=John Stamos on Full Houseš®
ReplyDeleteSo Casey killed Steven?
ReplyDelete@Tuesdi
DeleteYes. Read the comments section in the original blind post.
If you have a strong stomach read the updated version of I Know My First Name Is Steven.
I must be old, I've watched both shows but my mind went to the Dukes of Hazzard reference first.
ReplyDeleteKilling a molesting uncle was a kindness but killing his brother was the start of his serial killing. I believe it and thought about it when the murders he did came out.It has to be very hard on a person when a sibling disappears and life as you know it changes.Jealousy, guilt could be crippling for sibling add to it abuse from your uncle, parents not knowing because they were so wrapped up in Steven being gone. Then all the attention Steven received when he was found.Charges should be brought against him if he murdered Steven, but nothing on a molesting uncle. The uncle was a kindness to future victims and past ones IMO. Only good Pedophile is a dead one.

DeleteStaynor is already on death row.
He is still alive cuz California has a moratorium on capital punishment.
Yeah I'm guessing no one is really investigating about the uncle at this point.
ReplyDeleteThe actual true facts of Steven Stayner's death are readily available:

Enty still hasn't learned that automobile accidents are very poor methods of deliberate murder. It is too easy to avoid the accident entirely and easy to survive often.
This blind makes no more sense than the stupidly fabricated assassination of Sam Kinison yarn Enty previously rolled out. The assassin can't control whether the target will swerve and miss and whether the target wears protective gear like a seatbelt. It was lack of a seatbelt that spelled death or survival in the Kinison case.
These blinds are rehashing a worthless plotpoint: the auto accident as a means of deliberate murder. Try new fabricated plot points, please.

DeleteRead the updated version of I Know My First Name Is Steven.
The "accident" is discussed in the book but Steven's widow (and the author) believed something wasn't quite right about the incident and the "facts" of the case.

ReplyDeleteSo he killed Mike Echols or who? This blind is written pretty badly.
ReplyDeletesomone hit and ran killing the brother and turned themselves in shortly after the accident.
ReplyDelete@gauloise
DeleteTrue.
I have read the book. The "facts" surrounding that case do not add up.
Having said that, the prison snitch could be lying or Cary could be lying. Steven may have suicided himself. His widow said he was extremely depressed and still had issues stemming from his abuse.
He had killed many women including a Mom, her teen daughter and a foreign exchange student who were visiting Yosemite. It was a huge story when the women went missing.
ReplyDeleteWOW. Glad he killed the Uncle but his brother? He is one scary dude and practically decapitated one lady. POS.
ReplyDeleteDude, the WHOLE Stayner family was fucking weird. When Steven came back after being raped for years and barely remeberihg his first name, he didn't really want shit to do with his family. Hmmm, now we know why.
