Blind Item #1
This writer abandoned ship in the surge of metoo. His current crew doesn’t know how he groomed aspiring young actors and filmmakers for indecent proposals and worse from his old boss. They think he’s a helluva nice guy.

Nicolas Sparks?
ReplyDeleteYeah it fits with everything else I know about him
DeleteIt was kind of a random guess lol. I do know he has practiced very inappropriate behavour though...
Deletewho is the old boss?
ReplyDeleteMitch Albom as my backup guess
ReplyDeleteI thought he had written a couple of Harvey produced films....?
ReplyDeleteVictor Salva?
ReplyDeleteTOO SOON

Salva and 'Kids' and 'Powder' were discussed extensively in "Disney: The Mouse Betrayed"
Which I read before Helter Sketler and 1984
Long before I ever rolled a joint at Dahlak
Where I smoked a joint in the parking lot over the weekend
This will all be in the Geeljire Museum on the Washington DC mall one day
I promise you a more positive and uplifting museum than that "other one" and I'm not talking about the Black one.
Shout out to Talib 'Incel' Kweli's unfortunate Twitter addiction/vocation. You teach those upstate white kids, brah!
DeleteWhat writer left a project around November? Anyone on a Singer or Geffen project?
ReplyDeleteI bet "Ship" and "crew" are clues.
And he's working on something different now.
DeleteThe Titanic reboot, anchoring (har har) the Titanic Cinematic Universe

ReplyDeleteHarmony Korine for the writer, currently working on a McCaugheny / Snoop Dogg movie
Larry Clark for the old boss, director of Kids, for which Korine went around recruiting aspiring actor kids off the streets of NYC
Larry Clark is the Terry Richardson of filmmaking, super sleazy
ReplyDeleteHarmony fits
ReplyDeleteYeah I'm leaning Harmony on this one, a boy named Sue he is not.
ReplyDeletedon't think it's harmony- he would be writer/director, also i don't think he ever has had a "nice guy" persona
ReplyDeleteHarmony totally has a "nice guy" persona.
ReplyDeleteHe pulls off the loveable (slightly aspergy) auter
Yeah I don't think this is Harmony because it was well known that he liked the young girls and even married one. That's probably why he and JF dot along so well. Plus it would say director/writer.
ReplyDeleteDid Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk part ways?
