DeleteNo. I took music law classes at UCLA. The record labels make the musicians pay for the music video budgets through recooperation from their later sales. They loan out to them. Stupid musicians think it's free money and later realize how much they owe - i.e. every one who went bankrupt. Toni Braxton did so through a label loan for her tour.

Delete+1 My undergrad degree is in accounting. Even the major stars get cheated. Money is in the product sales while touring and in endorsements.
Thats where creative accounting must have got its name!
