Four For Friday - Registered Sex Offender

This actor used to be A+/A list who was a dual threat at one point. It was short lived, but people then and people now all know he is. What you probably don't know is that he is a registered sex offender and that he is currently on television, despite being charged with possessing child porn. Not just photos, but also videos. And what he has been doing since his conviction and registration? He has been working with a lot of kids. He has been alone with kids and spent hours alone with kids with no parents or adults in sight. I bet they have no idea about his conviction and no idea what could happen when left alone with the actor. I also wonder why, in this age of cell phone cameras, he keeps an entirely separate digital camera with him, but only on set, and only on days or nights when they are shooting with those tweens and teens which are the ones he prefers.

  1. God forbid Enty should tell us who this person is. It's not Charlie Sheen because he's not currently on TV.

  2. Wouldn't This guy be on the registry list? Everyone who has their kid working should at least check this out.

  3. I hope it’s not NPH.... new kid’s game show....

  4. Pee Wee Herman is a known sex offender for a different reason than this, so I guess it isn't him?

  5. I could have sworn there was another story like this, where nobody thought to do a background check on the guy. Anyway yeah I would guess he's on the registry if people can find out who he is.

Yes. There was a guy who worked behind the scenes. Even though he changed his name some people knew who he was but still hired him. CDANers guessed the man's identity.

  6. It wouldn't surprise me if a famous actor managed to get his registration on the offender list sealed or hidden somehow.

  7. Jeffrey Jones....?

  8. My first thought was Jeffrey Jones, too, but everybody knows about his arrest and at his absolute peak, he would have been a B+ character actor.

  9. He might be under the registery under his real name and his stage name is something different. But you should still know his real name and be able to search for it in the database.

Excellent guess! His movie success was very short lived.

    2. Thanks @Sara:) also he disappeared for a minute.... a long one.

    4. As much as I depend on your answers Tricia, I don’t think it’s Luke Perry. I watch Riverdale and there is no children on it. Very rarely.

Please don’t ruin my DILF crush. But I could move onto Sheriff Keller.

    5. @Rosie ❤️🙏🏻I but this was a guess-have heard things about him,but @bone structure-a great guesser btw, is right about the ages of kids on that show.... it could be so many that it’s am scary. But LP is -not beyond reproach

  12. The database will have aliases and a photo. Enty could reveal this with zero repercussions as it is easily proven . Get him fired.

  13. Of course they *SHOULD* be checking the registry. But we know they are not.

  14. What's Ben Stein up to these days?

  15. I don't buy it. A conviction would be hugely high profile everywhere and/or a list on a registry and if he isn't on the registry he is going to be even more busted. How is this even possible? I get maybe parents not knowing if you are saying how low profile it is BUT HOW is it?

  16. If you have a name and state, you can look up sex offenders here: https://www.familywatchdog.us/Default.asp#

    ReplyDelete
  17. +1 Guesser name him and contact authorities instead of inviting people to guess the paedophile, when at least some of the people guessed might be completely innocent.

  18. Whoever wrote this blind really needs to be smacked around. "Not just photos, but also videos." ????? This statement basically implies that child porn is not as bad if it pics than videos.

  19. Man I have no clue

  20. I'm no expert, but I think one problem is that there isn't "a" registry. The states each have a registry, and maybe counties do too. The FBI has a search site that pulls from all the state registries, but who knows how comprehensive and up-to-date that is. When I tried it just now, it said the Minnesota and D.C. servers weren't responding. If you use a third-party site, you're probably going to have to pay for anything more than name and city, maybe age, so it could get kind of expensive to check everyone with the same name.

Also, when I went directly to the California registry site, there was this: "Pursuant to Penal Code § 290.46, not all registered sex offenders are posted on this website." I'd guess other states are similar, in that "registered" does not necessarily equal "posted for public view."

So it doesn't seem as simple as looking someone up. I'm thinking maybe don't let your kid spend hours alone with a stranger -- even a famous one -- whether the person is on a registry or not.

  21. Isn't this obviously Paul Reubens? He was charged with possessing porn - images and video - some of which prosecutors said depicted children in sexual acts, but which Reubens and his lawyers strongly denied. Those charges were ultimately dropped in a plea deal where Reubens had to register for 3 years and faced other restrictions about being around minors.

So he's not currently a RSO, but he was at one time.

  22. I'm taking bets: This is a setup for a 4th of July reveal since it's so easily proven.

Paul Reubens is mostly doing voice work at the moment and the "kids" in Riverdale are mostly of age. So I don't think its actually either of them.

  24. It's Luke Perry (Coy Luther Perry). Good job Tricia

  25. Anonymous12:02 PM

But...there are no kids in Riverdale...all the main teen stars are still over 18....

What about Ralph Macchio? Briefly A list from KArate Kid, working with a lot of kids on Cobra Kai

  27. Do you cover up child molesters?

    THE ENTIRETY OF HOLLYWAD: #WEDO

  28. Victor Salva--who was convicted of molesting on of his cast members on a movie he was producing, has continued to make and direct movies even after his conviction. He directed Powder, which was a Disney movie. Even after that outcry, he's still working. He does the Jeepers Creepers franchise. Ugh.

  29. Are Luke and Ralph verifiable?

    ReplyDelete
  30. I thought Himmmm said Ralph was a good guy? Or am I losing it?

  31. I'm not finding anything for Coy Luther Perry or for Luke Perry, has anyone else found anything?

    ReplyDelete
  32. I don't have a guess, but I highly doubt it's Luke Perry. There are no young kids on Riverdale, they're all older, depicting teenagers,so there are no tweens and no real teens on that show.

What about Barry Watson? Big teen idol for a hot minute thanks to 7th Heaven, sort of disappeared. Currently doing a tv show called Date My Dad where he has two young daughters. Its a Canadian show, so maybe that explains why they wouldn't know if he was registered. If it is him, that is.

  34. Im sure the LAPD protects a LOT of ped0philes.

I mean, we already know they do. hello hello, Bryan Singer & Friends, featuring David Geffen!

I wonder if the police would stand up to the latter if they were raping the police's children?

how would you feel about that, cops?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Could be Barry Watson. His name has come up in comments for similar blinds. I don't know what his deal is though.

  36. @Tricia13 wins again. Luke Perrys real name is Coy Luther Perry born in 1966 so he is 51 (bday in oct) https://www.familywatchdog.us/ShowNameList.asp

    ReplyDelete
  37. @NorCal Norm--he's not on the registry. That is a misleading ad link to get you to pay for background checks on other people. The person who comes up is Clyde Perry in Crosby, TX.

  38. Look at the hits on "Coy Perry" that you get:

    1. Perry W. Coy, DeSoto TX (age 51) His name is actually Perry Coy, not Coy Perry and he has multiple relatives listed with the last name Coy.

    2. Perry W. Coy, Clovis/Shaver Lake CA (age 71) Also named "Perry Coy," not Coy Perry. Results show his wife is named Emma and I found a story saying he's a wood carver.

    It's not Luke Perry.

  39. This is the perfect kind of slow news day made-up blind. It's vague enough to be firmly in the legal to say camp, but it is just menacing enough to suggest immediate danger, and suggest that with some independent sleuthing we too could discover who it is!

If this were true, all it would take is one call or email to any police department to resolve this ASAP.

    It is fake.

I love Enty, it's fun to read, but seriously, come on, folks.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Likely not him, unless enty being especially truthy in the blind but never a bad thing IMHO to remind the public (parents especially) that this man continues to actively work in entertainment as evidenced on his Twitter feed and IMDB.

Shane Sparks (Melvin Shane Sparks) Choreographer, Artistic Director, Artist, Actor, Producer

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.thehollywoodgossip.com/slideshows/celebrities-you-probably-want-to-keep-away-from-your-children/amp/

He told Perez Hilton in 2013 he is not a registered sex offender. A part of his plea deal?

    ARREST AND CONVICTION
On December 18, 2009, Shane was arrested on felony charges of child molestation. He was charged with six counts of a lewd act on a child and two counts of oral copulation of a person under 16. An attorney for Sparks said his client had been unfairly accused of child molestation, noting that the allegations did not surface until after Sparks became famous as a judge on "America's Best Dance Crew." Attorney Steve Meister said the case "stinks to high heaven" because Sparks' accuser waited 15 years to come forward. He called the claims "extortion, Hollywood-style." Meister says Sparks is innocent and "will fight to clear his name." Sparks is said to have been at least 10 years older than the alleged victim. Sparks was arrested in December 2009 at his North Hollywood home and brought to a Van Nuys, Calif., jail, held on $590,000 bail, LAPD spokesman, Keisha Shaw, told TVGuide.com. French also added that Sparks was the "subject of an ongoing child molestation investigation." Los Angeles police investigators said the choreographer committed multiple lewd acts upon a child, starting in 1994. Police identified the victim as a girl who was under 14 years old when the incidents began[5][6] Sparks was released from jail on December 19, 2009 at 9:57PM.[7][8]
On March 11, 2010, Shane Sparks pleaded not guilty to eight sex-related counts of child molestation. Sparks entered his not guilty plea during a hearing in Van Nuys. He was due back in court on April 20 for a hearing to determine if there is enough evidence in the case for him to stand trial.[9]
On August 16, 2011, Shane Sparks pleaded no contest to a single felony count of having unlawful sex with a minor under 16. Under a plea deal approved by LA County Superior Court Judge Martin Herscovitz, the other counts were dismissed. He was sentenced to 270 days in the county jail and five years of probation. He will also attend 52 sessions of sex-offender counseling and not go near any female minors without an adult present. He will, under current law, have to register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.[8]

  41. In California, not all registered sex offenders are included on the registry (CSAR); there are some sex offenders automatically excluded from the registry and others can apply for exclusion.

    https://www.meganslaw.ca.gov/SexOffenders_SummaryOfLaw.aspx

In California there was also a new sex crime registry reform law signed in Dec. 2017 that brings dramatic change to the registry in 2021.

  44. What is upsetting about this issue is just the stigma of an accusation can cause terrible consequences for an innocent person.
