This A list foreign born dual threat actor did what he was praised for doing. The thing is though, it was still kind of shady that his PR team insisted on holding back releasing it for well over six months until he needed a positive publicity boost. So, when he got some negative press, boom, it was out within days to change that narrative.
Benedict Cumberbatch

Benedict Cumberbatch
Non reveal of a non blind.
ReplyDeleteStill think his PR is incompetent AF though. Just let the man ACT and stop trying to manipulate everything.
Am I the only one who thinks this guy isn't attractive at all??
ReplyDeleteHe looks like an otter.
DeleteNope. But you throw an English accent on a dude and thr ladies will be banging on his door, no matter how unattractive physically, intellectually, or morally.
Delete@Jean Grey-- no, you're not the only one. He looks like the Sherminator from American Pie.
ReplyDelete@Jean, it's the VOICE. And the luscious Sherlock hair.
ReplyDeleteLMAO @ BackOffBitch! Great call!
ReplyDeleteHis head is really disproportionally big, even by Hollywood standards. He is a good actor though. He was great as Richard III in "The Hollow Crown".
ReplyDeletehes hard to look at. and that name? cant believe he ever gets laid.
ReplyDeleteWhy would you even bother to say that? He's not your biscuit? Fine. Go get a Hob Nob instead.
ReplyDelete😂😂 Good to know I am not alone!
ReplyDeleteHe's an excellent actor. That last season of "Sherlock" was unwatchable though.
ReplyDeleteWhat did he do that was "bad" so he needed "good" press? The bitchy comment about the Sherlock fans?
ReplyDeleteThere were a couple blind item reveals, the thing with Martin Freeman, and something else but I can't remember what.
ReplyDeletePlus he's shilling everything that is put in front of him. I feel like he should be one of those American race car drivers with all the patches.
I think he looks unusual, but that's refreshing. Plus his lips are lovely.
ReplyDeleteHe looks _fine_ in pictures from today's Stephen Hawking memorial. That man can _wear_ a suit.
Too bad we can't say the same for the wife. She looks like she rolled right out of bed and didn't have time to put on an outfit so she is in her pajamas.
agreed @Jean, I think he is ugly af
ReplyDeleteHe has something about him. Take his features and they're not great but he has a presence. Hard to explain to those who just don't get that people can physically not be much yet have something very attractive underneath it all.
ReplyDeleteI adore Steve Buscemi. He is #1 on my freebie list, followed by Donal Logue. I still find there to be something distinctly unappealing about Cumberbatch.
DeleteI think that if the animated series American Dad was made into a live action series, Benedict Cumberbatch would be a shoo-in for the role of Roger the Alien.
ReplyDeleteButtercumb Cucumber fans always get very upset when people call him ugly. He kind of is, though. Roger the Alien is definitely doing him justice.
ReplyDeleteWhat was the bad press?
ReplyDeleteRich spoiled kid, born with a silver spoon. If he had a different family, he would be working in a restaurant, or selling appliances.
ReplyDeleteWhich would be more honorable than the 'film industry'
This recently came up on Ellen. According to this it was all overblown, which makes it all the more suspect. Held back AND blown out of proportion?
