This one is personal, but I'm thinking you might be hearing from this person soon...
I just today reconnected with one of my high school beards, and I mention it because beginning back in the day she was a masterful blind item writer. It comes as no surprise that she's a successful writer of children's books - one of which was adapted into a 2014 tv movie by the legendary entertainment and family fun park brand. It stars a one-named actress and a young actor whose last name is one letter off from this writer's maiden last name (that would be the first letter). You might say that the title of the movie is, or at least remind you of, static electricity.
I mention the maiden last name because her father, whose name is Mitch, was one of the founding people at a certain upstart studio in the 1980s, and later one of its senior execs. People thought it was a joke, at first, but by the early 90s the joke was on them. (He went on to work in distribution and more recently founded a startup having to do with entertainment futures.)
Do you remember that party from the "...there is a picture" blind - this is the one with the former child actor turned highly religious person? This was at her house.
I'll bet she's going to have some interesting stories to share with you...

Film - Zapped (Disney)
ReplyDeleteOne named actress - Zendaya
Children’s writer - Leslie Margolis
Leslie's maiden name is Goldman, so her father is Mitch Goldman of New Line? There's nothing connecting them anywhere though.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why that is?
And if it has anything to do with the stories she has to tell??
New Line started in the 60’s though, unless that’s a typo?
Deleteformer child actor turned highly religious person = Kirk Cameron
ReplyDeleteI'm really struggling to see the point of this blind.
ReplyDelete+1000
Deletei think he's just telling us about someone who's going to be contributing some BI's and what her background is.
ReplyDeleteDB, or the DB collective, trying to prove their cred.

ReplyDeleteYes! And then Enty can refer to this reveal of sorts in future confusing, incoherent blinds!
looks like you guys got it
ReplyDeleteenty would it be possible to include link to other blinds when you mention them?

ReplyDeleteModern Cinema Group is the new startup. I glanced through and they have ties to Dubai, but I don't know enough about the people involved to know if they're sketchy at all.
I think the stories mean maybe she's writing a memoir. Maybe some of the ugly side of Hollywood.

ReplyDelete@DiscoD The child actor turned highly religious person is likely Willie Aames, who starred in Zapped (mentioned earlier) and later that Christian Superhero weirdness he got into.
ReplyDeleteWell, the Dancing Boy thing has taken an exciting new twist...
ReplyDeletelooking forward to her blinds, hope there is no food mentioning like shrimps and veganism lol
ReplyDeleteI guess this is the other blind about the party http://www.crazydaysandnights.net/2018/02/blind-item-13-dancing-boy-there-is.html
