Blind Item #8
A family member of a recently murdered rapper is trying to make a money grab as quickly as they can. They know they don't have long to be in control of everything so are trying to exploit the death for as much money as possible.

ReplyDeleteSo disgusting! He hasn’t even been dead a damn week! Family ain’t SHIT.
ReplyDeleteeh, all families of the famous do this. Can't hate on the family of X without hating on Priscilla Presley, too.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with Xxxtentacion is he stole tracks and several suits are trying to figure out how to sue the estate. Yes, lots of rappers do this, but they live long enough to settle. YouTube is now involved. Stay tuned...
The difference is Priscilla Presley had a daughter to think about. And she was smart enough to understand that people were going to capitalize and market the King of Rock and Roll if she didn't trademark his name. So, no hating there. Elvis' estate wasn't worth nearly as much before Priscilla and her lawyers took over. Good on them.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe this little 20 year old rapper had more than 400,000 fans, if even that.
When do the blinds about how XXXTentacion was getting too close to the international pedo ring start?
ReplyDeleteUgh. That name hurts my head! My brain always wants it to be extension
ReplyDeleteso basically his family is just as shitty as he was
ReplyDeleteHis mom was terrible.
Deletexxxtencioncord
ReplyDelete😂 much better!
ReplyDeleteDon't understand why people are so sad about his death? I'm sorry he died the way he did, but he was a piece of shit who didn't deserve as much love and support as he's getting.

ReplyDeleteYep, there are that many, if not more, fans of Mr. Onfroy (I'm done with that ridiculous rap name of his.) Truth be told, I really like his music, even the stuff he stole.
What you say about Priscilla could hold for the Onfroy family, too. Someone is going to capitalize on his life, death, rap and image (he was awfully attractive IMHO.) Why not the family? He might have one child already (bio is sketchy there) and the mother claims there is another on the way.
After the Biggie legacy and raps were stolen by Poof Diddy, all families of rappers should secure everything they can (in this case also, there are a hell of a lot of YouTube royalties that need to be locked down and the mirrored accounts shut down.)
Same.
DeleteI hear ya, nonya.
ReplyDelete@plot, it depends HOW they go about it and what they do. If they are setting up a brand and a corporation to control the legacy, as Priscilla did with Elvis, who had an actual and substantial legacy to protect, then fine. If they are setting up fake charities, schemes and phony foundations to fund their pockets, as some people do following a death, that is a sleazy, completely different ball of wax.
Can't really compare Priscilla to this, she was forced by the court to take control, because of how badly Cl. Tom Parker had fucked up Elvis' business, leaving the estate almost broke.
ReplyDeleteThey should call Priscilla and get her assistance.
ReplyDeleteBut is it mom or baby mama?
@Do Tell
ReplyDeleteGood point!
Elvis, he was not.
ReplyDeleteNo, not all families of the famous dead do what this pile of heaux are doing. Pfft.

ReplyDeleteI get news broadcast out of the Miami metro area and....
ReplyDeletethey will not let this crime go. It is in the news every day. Anytime the news is being broadcast. At least one clip about him.
I get it---local guy, they have the suspect. But, they have been reporting the same thing for the past 3 days. There is nothing new they are reporting regarding the murder or circumstances surrounding it.
