Blind Item #7

A celebrity CEO was speaking this week.  He exhibited very strange body language, combined with nearly shedding tears on stage, as he tried to spin even greater lies than ever told before.  This CEO knows that he will eventually lose everything he has, and currently sits on the precipice of one of the most spectacular corporate collapses in American history.

Very recently, this CEO has been pitching large foreign conglomerates for a massive cash infusion, in a last ditch attempt to save his company.   They all turned him down.

  1. Correction: His shareholders will lose everything they have invested.

    Elon will do just fine.

  3. Considering the number of deluded musk fans across the globe, a gofundme would raise billions from these suckers.

  6. Is someone over there a little peeved that none of the wacky shareholder votes to oust Elon or his brother passed? Or is it that Tesla shares are up after the shareholder meeting?

  7. @GeeWally that would depend on what he did with the money he has already made. Just because somebody looks like they have money doesn't mean they do and just because they made money at one point doesn't mean they still have it. He will be comfortable, certainly. Probably lower millions range.

  8. I have some advice: get a sex-change operation.

Elizabeth Holmes proved that women who commit fraud at that level don't receive prison sentences.

  9. Get that (((Wall Street))) hedge funds have taken massive short positions against Tesla. Get also that ramping up a mass scale car production line from scratch is an enormously complicated task where you would 100% expect delays and unplanned complications. (((They))) need that stock to tank, they've been spending millions in the yellow press to get a stock run happening. Fucking Jews man, every single time. Elon Musk is a great man doing great things, Space X alone will be worth hundreds of billions in the coming years. Fuck the pigmen.

  10. So, does this mean don't buy a Tesla?

  11. For those who care: the short interest in Tesla stock:

  12. @Vessimede, weren't Tesla and SpaceX based on ideas that Elon funded and not his own original ideas? Thought that was how the story went. So other people then would be doing "great things" and he's helping them along. Friendly!

  14. Stock is up 7.09% so far today. Honestly every time there is a blind about Tesla or Netflix their stock goes up, I wish I knew what the blinds were ahead of time. Or wait, is it that these blinds get posted when the stock is up?

  18. Fund managers are probably shorting Tesla, and their investors are probably bearing down hard on them (because it costs a lot to short stocks, not to mention the options are on hold, making no money, unless companies fail.)

Not that Musk's futuristic fantasies are viable, but I LOVE that the worthless money men, the leeches on society and the market, are suffering. Not crashing yet, boys, no matter how much bad publicity you encourage on line.

  20. DDonna no it's not fake, they are sending rockets into space every week or so, I see this with my own eyes from the front of my apartment complex. I'm not watching it on TV, I'm outside looking at it go up and up 2 or 3 or more times a month.

  21. Did Elon Musk kill Enty's puppy? So much hate.

    ReplyDelete
  22. LOL @Sandybrook, why don't you tell him how you really feel? :D

    ReplyDelete
  23. I don't think Elon told any bigger porkies at the board meeting than he's spun before. Did he save Kimbal's board seat? Kimbal ain't the sharpest knife in the drawer, and most of Elon's past investments from mommy's friends have come with the "you've got to find a place for Kimbal" attached.

"large foreign conglomerates" - well, Tesla's had Toyota money in the past, and Daimler-Benz, and it wouldn't surprise me if he were trying to do a parachute arrangement with Toyota or Daimler-Benz, or...who else has pockets deep enough to make him whole and fund the company? If I were in his shoes a Plan B would not be a bad idea.

  24. I’m never gonna get to Mars now :(

    ReplyDelete
  25. I will also note that, unlike some other plutocrats, Elon's ego (for good or bad, at least when I knew him) probably won't let him suck up a bunch of money and walk away from a failure. So I'm prepared to accept that any outside $ he's arranging for Tesla is probably more in the preservation of his legacy as the Li-Ion Henry Ford, and less in the preservation of his wallet.

  26. His body language was the same as it always is. Actually probably better than usual. He’s just a very nervous, awkward public speaker. He also gets emotional a lot, this would be like the 5th time he’s teared up at a shareholders meeting talking about the Tesla team. Nothing unusual there.

If they can get production of Model 3’s to 5000 a week they’ll be profitable for the last two quarters this year.

Also he won’t lose everything even if Tesla crashes and burns (which it won’t, it would be bought before that happened). He still has a very large stake in SpaceX, currently valued at 28 billion.

    ReplyDelete
  27. SpaceX is his baby, he rolls into companies like Tesla and throws his wallet on the desk and says "Okay, put me on the masthead as 'founder'" but SpaceX was the only one since Zip2 that was his from day one.

Tesla's a stepchild, his most visible and commercially successful venture, but a stepchild, and he doesn't get mass production.

    ReplyDelete
  28. @mrkwong nope. pretty sure it was publicized that somebody else was working toward the basic idea for SpaceX and he did the roll up wallet call me founder thing. Some investors want to have the founder cred for whatever reason.

    ReplyDelete
  29. This sucks for a lot of reasons, but particularly because both Tesla and SpaceX have shown such promise in their areas.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Tesla production may be delayed but is not in any danger of stopping. Musk is gonna be just fine and his companies are gonna do great. Those who can't teach/post blinds, I guess

    ReplyDelete
  31. Look, I personally want to see both Tesla and SpaceX succeed, and while Elon needs a bit of hubris/nemesis I'm fine if he ends up a winner, he did the right things at somewhat the right times.

Neither his biggest fan nor his worst enemy, and he DID put his money in the right places even if sometimes he wanted more credit than he was due.

  32. wont the stockholders be hurt, and not musk per se?

  33. I only read Hedge and Musk blinds for sandy’s comments! 😂

  34. Sal T: Me. too! Sandy rocks! Always has!

When I just read Sandy's remarks, it immediately reminded me of something that happened on the A train a few years back. A tiny African-American lady dressed for Sunday Church, hat & all, sitting quietly in her space. Something happened I didn't see cause the next thing I heard from the elderly lady was, "You betta be happy I'm a Southern Lady, cause if I wasn't I would beat you up so bad you'd be breathing out of yo asshole!" Everyone in the Subway car just gasped in shock. The recipient of her fire quickly exited at the next stop. Everyone spent the rest of their trip with their mouths open. Sandy would have loved it.

  37. Wow, now that's noteworthy:

"Short sellers betting against Tesla lose more than $1 billion in single day as stock pops

Investors betting against Tesla lost more than $1 billion Wednesday, according to estimates from financial technology firm S3 Partners.
Tesla bears have lost nearly $5 billion in mark-to-market losses since 2016, S3 finds.
The electric car maker is one of the most heavily shorted stocks in the U.S., as well as the most heavily shorted automaker in the world."

  38. bwhahahah so sorry Hedge fuck you and the rest of the idiots that have cost me a few hundred thousand 3 times over the last 10 years. Karma's gonna be a bitch for you.

And Boo, there was one time I got on a D train and there was this drunk guy screaming at a black woman. "Fuck you you fucking N+++er go the fuck back where you are supposed to be." I told the guy "why dont you STFU and sit down?" He turned to me and said "why dont you make me?" I said "sit down" he got in my face and said "make me". I got up punched him, knocked him out and said you'll shut up now. He got up slowly and sat, we both got pulled off the train at the next stop, as we got off, he said to me that was some punch you hit me with. I just looked at him. The cop stood between us, asked if either of us wanted to press charges, we both said no, he put me in one car on the next train and him in another and we went our merry way.
    So you arent far off.

  40. Sad Hedge. I despise short sellers, so this tickles me no end.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Sad u let this idiot post. Obviously FAKE for anyone that watched the presentauom. Complete FAKE news. Tesla is the most short sold stock so many people are betting against the conpan6 stock. In a nutshell, that’s why the coverage is so biased.

  42. Musk.
This will end badly, at least financially.
    And certainly within 12-18 months.

And, as interesting as he is, he's a front man.
Not saying he never did anything, just study the early history of tesla and you'll get the picture.

Have nothing against him- I quite like him actually.

You need to understand the (often vast) difference between the economic value of a business or real estate and the current market/financial value. There is no complete correlation between the two, and sometimes those two numbers can wildly diverge.

BTW, short sellers perform a valuable function in a free market. And if they're wrong- they lose.
