Blind Item #3 - Reader Blind Item
This foreign born A++ list athlete in his corner of the sports world is probably permanent A++ list. He has been running scared of late as two things have shed unwanted attention on how he reached the top. A fictional novel that came out last year that had a character based on him and a hack of his medical records by a wikileaks type group both make the same accusation - That he has seriously abused performance enhancing drugs throughout his entire career from a young age and the establishment of his sport has turned a blind eye to it. Two things that always made people suspicious - His superhuman ability to bounce back from injuries very quickly and his defined muscular frame which is more like a professional bodybuilder than athletes from this sport.
Joey Chestnut.
ReplyDeleteHa! Eating as a sport, I’ll buy that and a very good guess @PokeyBlow
ReplyDeleteCristiano Renaldo and “A Natural” novel out last year? How is this even a blind?
ReplyDeleteI think I might’ve found the novel, “Trophy Son” written by Megyn Kelly’s husband of all people. Accuses tennis stars of doping. Released last year. I don’t know who the tennis star could be. Nadal?
ReplyDeleteimmediately I think christian ronaldo, but who knows
ReplyDeleteIt was Vitor Belfort. The UFC Phenom
ReplyDeleteMo Farah or Nadal
ReplyDeleteMo Farah is on roids

ReplyDeleteRenaldo is playing today. But his body is too lean to be like a body builder.
ReplyDelete@Total. He is very cut. Like all he does is work on his abs
DeleteThere was that Fancy Bear hack of British and US Olympians about a year or so ago. A number of cyclists and rowers named
ReplyDeleteI thought Rafael Nadal too his body is unlike any other in his sport and his rapid bounce back from injury has always been susoect....I can't recall Ronaldo having nearly as many injuries as Nadal
ReplyDeleteThose Fancy Bear docs were a vewy angwy Vlad who saw his Russian pride take a hit when his stable of pro and amateur athletes had their metals stripped for doping.
ReplyDeleteAnd his Russian football team is going to get smashed this World Cup.
As said, Renaldo is too lean to be described as a body builder type.
Yeah, tennis has been awash in PEDs for a long while. One of the Williams sisters refused all random drug tests and got away with it, I'm thinking Venus, could be wrong. The bounce back of all tennis players during the high season, with important matches every few weeks, is a tad suspicious in general.
Ronaldo’s body doesn’t look any different from the other footballers. Nadal and Andy Murray bodies look like bodybuilders. Nadal and Serena info were release in the Fancy Bear leaks.
ReplyDeleteRaphael Nadal for the athlete, "Trophy son" for the novel.
ReplyDeleteNadal had accusations about this for a long time. He used a certain doctor that a lot of doped tennis players used so I think this is a good guess.
ReplyDelete@plot: Serena has never refused any tests, she only complained about being targeted unfairly by officials. get your facts straight before slandering a great champion
ReplyDeleteAndy Murray's body is probably the least bodybuilder-like in tennis. It's Nadal.
ReplyDeleteFunny how there are so many blinds trying to point to Rafa Nadal or Serena Williams doping. For those alleging Serena watch "Being Serena" and get back to me.
ReplyDeleteAs for Rafa he skipped the entire spring US hardcourt swing due to injury but believe whatever floats your boat. When you see Rafa in person you see he is nothing more than another skinny tennis player.
It seems to me that certain tennis fandom(s) are behind these type of rumors.
Nadal for sure has a bodybuilder physique, compared to other tennis players.
ReplyDeleteRobert forstemann . He is well known in cycling, but I am not sure about the permanent part, he has been off the scene for a couple of years. he is german
ReplyDeletehe has a crazy body for a cyclist, it is like a body builder, there is no way this body could be natural, esp for a cyclist, beacuse they are very lean:

@pokey: excellent guess! Hotdogs do a body good 😆
ReplyDeleteNo way is this Nadal firstly he doesn't have a figure like a bodybuilder people have that impression of him because he use to wear vests when most other male players wore looser fitted t-shirts. His left arm is quite noticeably bigger through the constant practice. Anyone who thinks Rafa has bounced back from injury quickly obviously doesn't know anything about him or his career which has been blighted by serious and permanent knee injuries and multiple wrist injuries which have broken down so many times and none of which would be helped by performance enhancing drugs. He has missed more time with injuries than either Federer or Djokovic. I'm guessing this blind came from a Federer fan because Djokovic doesn't have many outside of the Serbian contingent.
ReplyDeleteRafael Nadal .....many blinds over many years on his use of human growth hormones
ReplyDeleteA "fictional novel"??? As opposed to, what? A true novel?
ReplyDeleteAsk Truman Capote!
DeleteI would like to know what bodybuilder does Rafa Nadal resemble? I've never looked at him and then another top male player and think, wow, Nadal really has such an amazing body compared to the rest of the mens line-up.
ReplyDeleteAnd he certainly has had way more injuries and been out of play more than any of his top rivals, so what's with all of this alleged bouncing back?
Not to mention, that unlike American sports, tennis is truly international meaning there are different Tennis Federations and Associations by country. Getting every nations organization to collude would be quite a big feat to pull off.
ReplyDeleteWho gives a shit if they dope themselves to fuck. Whatever the sport. It's only themselves they are hurting. Let them all do it and see if I give two lemon living shits.
