I was just watching the rerun with a friend whose ex works on this one show. This is what she told me:
For the rest of us, there are crank diets, shady supplements, and astrological diagnosis. For this one actress though, there to tell a truly sympathetic personal story, there was a prescription to pharmaceutical grade cocaine, and free samples in the dressing room.

Wtf?
ReplyDeleteHieroglyphs much?
Friends - Aniston
ReplyDeleteThought her too (or Cox) but it say present tense(works on show)- but it’s a rerun? Maybe. Typo..?
DeleteBut if she is there to tell a personal story, wouldn't it be an interview?
ReplyDeleteDaily Show or Late Night reruns
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Dr. Oz who recently tweeted about using astrology for choosing a diet plan. He's had a lot of celebs on the show talking about issues. Rose McGowan and Nicole Eggert are two possibilities.
ReplyDeleteNo wait. Ana Faris on Mom. Current show with reruns (at least on local TV), sympathetic personal story on the show is her being an alcoholic.
ReplyDeleteBril guess!

ReplyDeleteDr. Oz ... recently tweeted about using astrology for choosing a diet plan
This confirms that Dr. Oz is a complete and utter quack.
+ 1,000,000
DeleteThe very fact his name is "Dr. Oz" should give it away.
ReplyDeleteUmmm... Oz is a shortened version of his Turkish surname. Look it up.
DeleteIf he seriously recommended astrology for *anything*, total quack. If he was making a point about the low success rate of diets by saying you might as well use astrology to pick one because they all fail nearly every time anyway, that could be kinda clever.
ReplyDeleteIt's probably the first thing, though.
you are just now figuring out that Oz is a quack?
ReplyDeleteI don't watch Dr. Oz's show, but I stand by my original comment. :)
ReplyDeleteOz's tweet: "Some say that the season of your birth may have an influence on your health. Today, an astrologist is here to share your health horoscope. Plus, Todd Fisher opens up about losing his sister #CarrieFisher and his mother #DebbieReynolds. You don’t want to miss it."
ReplyDeleteHe simply had the person on as a guest. He wasn't swearing by it.
Total Quack.
ReplyDeleteThe problem I have with Dr Oz is that he was a highly respected heart surgeon. I don’t know what happened to him.
ReplyDeleteIs he a real doctor because I really doubt he's from Oz.
ReplyDeleteHard to decipher, but it could mean they were watching a re-run of a show (like a sitcom) and that the friend's ex worked on a different show (like a talk show) and had the experience on THAT show.
ReplyDeleteAniston got REALLY skinny season 4? was that the cocaine era? I thought she was more of a weed girl?
ReplyDelete^^ @Tricia13
ReplyDeleteShe did .... I often think about that because she’s so @fitness oriented /smart watery ... but my take on that has always been that she was in the midst of an eating disorder;or reoccurring one); Pitt who was her hubby at the time is known to like his women women angular , skinny-boyishly so....and undernourished looking almost.
DeleteSee Juliette Lewis,Gwyneth (then for sure), Jen and then Angelina.
Sad but true
I’ve always been told background about the reasoning there but that’s another —-well site someday or lifetime, maybe
DeleteDr Oz was born in Cleveland. His parents were from Turkey. And yes, he's Muslim.
ReplyDeleteSo there was an actress on the Dr Oz show, who was there to tell a personal story, and was provided cocaine in her dressing room, including a prescription she could take home with her?
ReplyDeleteAlso, I would like to add that the medical industry is similar to the showbiz industry. Most medical advice benefits the "self-feeding" industry, not the patient.
ReplyDeleteI would never believe any doctor on network TV. They would never be allowed to tell the truth, anyway.

ReplyDeleteDoctor Oz recently came into a restaurant I was managing. He was visiting his son who was about the begin his school year at an Ivy League school right down the street. He loved his meal and even tweeted. Was so nice to his server. Nothing to report there. Only funny thing... no one really thought he was such a big deal so the day goes on. Next day, open for brunch and it was like every single ticket was a damn breakfast pizza. The oven is only so big, only pizza on the brunch menu, wtf is going on?! GD Dr. Oz and his insta... sunk my restaurant the next day.
