Blind Item #1

As I told you a looong time ago, this foreign born A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner/nominee wanted nothing to do with her superhero co-star. Three directors passed on his solo project and producers are having trouble finding people who want to act alongside him either.

  3. The Joker spinoff was all over the news yesterday. Guess it's just hype then.

  7. I love Margot Robbie and I’m happy for her success. I hope she’s as cool in real life as she seems to be (we have a mutual friend).

  8. Ya, new Joker. Far more interested in the other one in developement. Say what you will about Leto but I just didnt like the direction of the joker that was taken.

  10. Jared Leto should be in jail. It's encouraging to see no one wants to work with him.

  11. Jared Leto is a nasty creep, but his character is NOT a superhero, Enty/Enterns. The Joker is a supervillain. That's something people should know without even being interested in comic book characters. Besides, I sincerely doubt anyone will ever top Heath Ledger's performance as the Joker. He was brilliant. Leto is terrible and hopefully his film will flop if it ever decides to actually happen.

  12. Everyone is a hero and everyone is a villain to someone.

Loved Ledger's Joker, but I thought Leto's Joker was more true to the source material, had more malevolence. Villains can play great villains.

  13. The only good thing about this new joker movie news is that maybe the publicity will finally bring all the rape allegations to light!!!!

  14. @AC Nothing will come of it. Look at all the other men who were accused of rape/sexual harassment. They just went into hiding, no jail time or anything. And Brayson, I'm not going off an opinion of everyone being either a hero or a villain, I'm going off of the comics, which is where the character originated from. The Joker is a villain in the films and in the comics.

  15. If the Joker is a "hero" to someone, that someone is a sociopath or worse.

  16. Wasn't Suicide Squad about a group of villains? Deadpool was originally a villain too. Also like Deadpool, there's the theory that Joker knows he's in a comic/movie, which explains a lot of his behavior.

  17. Whatever else Leto is (has he been accused of sexual assault yet?) he is a really good actor. He can make or break a film (think of Texas Buyers Club without him.) By all accounts, he is extremely professional on set, knows his lines, shows up on time, asks for nothing crazy or gratuitous. That's a difficult fellow to fire, even if women don't want to work with him.

  18. As usually when Plot-TWISTED drops in to peddle the usual defenses of the indefensible, the facts don't back him up.

"Professional on set"? You tell me: https://bit.ly/2M4OP6A

  19. @DDonna

Would Health Ledger be called the same for being really creepy on set when he played Joker? He was. How about Daniel Day Lewis? He goes whole hog, but is also extremely professional.

Whatever the process, Leto has a good reputation on set and goes the extra mile for his performances.

  20. Oh! And DDonna, what is "indefensible" about Leto? What thrilling sexual crime do you imagine he is guilty of in your bed at night?

  21. *Yawn*

    You lost. Move on.

    DD out.

  22. Oh DDonna, aren't you adorable. Lost what exactly? Since I'm not the one flouncing off, it sure doesn't look like a loss to me of anything other than your dignity.

  23. Leto is my one celebrity story. I was cycling home from work one day when I got boxed in by a limo in front of a hotel. I started hollering at him to move because I was trapped - he didn't. I then spotted this vapid looking man swanning his way from the hotel with his entourage towards the limo. I started hollering at him "hey, it's Leto. Hey Leto, hurry the fuck up - I'm trapped here." He neither hurried the fuck up nor paid the slightest bit of notice to either my existence or my trapped situation.

  24. Leto totally creeps me out on multiple levels.

But in Dallas he was truly astounding- def a great actor.
    At least in that part.

  25. Oh Leto is a creep no doubt about it.

He was also fantastic in Fight Club - took a small part and made in memorable. American Psycho, same deal. He was also great in Requiem for a Dream, though it's a bad movie overall.

The creep can act his ass off.
