    1. Agree! Solange! Wtf is that awful look and who told you it was a winner? (Hold on, let me guess...)

    2. She looks like the cartoon satyr Danny Devito voices in Hercules.

    3. But Kim K’s dress is so boring. Barely goes with the theme.

    4. Haters are going to hate. I also think Kim looks stunning

  2. Not sure how Amal's dress is supposed to be inspired by the Catholic Church. Maybe it is a miracle that George Clooney got married and had kids?

  3. And thanks Enty for posting these photos.

  4. Was the back of Solange dress a big pucker, so she have a matched pair w/ the giant ebony pussy on the front of it?

  5. P - Riri - her pussy gotta be magic.

M - K-trash - she aint even gotta pop titties out of the dress. Just blow me and git. Since i am poor and have nothing to offer her, she prolly give me the crack whore speed/no breathing BJ and finish me off in under 3 min.

B - JLo - she long in the tooth and practically an unlikeable as a Kardashian, but that ass was top of the food chain at one point, so wiggle dunkin in it will give ya some street cred.

  6. It's like the rich people's version of an ugly sweater party, except no one told the girl in gold because everyone hates her, so she tried to dress nice.

  7. Solange always gets the ugly dress.

  8. Rhianna reminds me of Papa Emeritus from the rock band Ghost in this photo.

  9. What the hell is this even for

  10. That was not Kim K. That was the Academy Award Statue.

Question of the Day --- What does Kim K. and Amal Clooney have in common?????

  12. Met Gala has become the biggest society joke. Notice it's only reality stars, instagram stars and fake models and singers w/ substance abuse. Only a few true celebrities still go out of respect to the history of the met gala in NYC.

Remember back in the day when Anna REFUSED to allow KK to come anywhere near NYC during the met gala? Now, the whole family is there. I guess if you have a sex tape - it opens ALL doors.

Met Gala is a TIRED JOKE. 'nuff said.

  13. Another reason we love Enty...this is the best collection of Met Gala photos I've seen.

No one else loved Cardi B? Not so obvious from the full-length shot, but the detail work on her her dress is impeccable. Same with Rihanna's, but I just loved Cardi B's for combining the theme with beauty.

  14. Oh, so this is supposed to be based on the Catholic Church? Wouldn't that offend some partygoers? I was going to ask 1. if we were getting into Byzantine-era headgear for Spring, and 2. Is JLo a Knight Templar for Pope Rhianna?

    ReplyDelete
  15. And @Cail Corishev, your KK comment is hilarious! I wonder if the Ks ever feel uncomfortable and realize they have no business being in certain places.

  16. @shakey - Piers Morgan, who I'm not a big fan of, made a GREAT POINT. He asked that if the theme were "Muslim" Or "Jewish" -- would it have been okay? It seems it's okay to make fun of Catholicism and christianity, but heaven forbid anyone ever saying anything or remotely even think about making a theme based on Muslim or Jewish religion.

I also have to ask CDaNer: you all read this site, you all comment on how fucked up all these people are in real life, and yet you all ooogle and ahhhhh whenever they have a red carpet event. I don't get it. Either you are for all these sick fucks or you are against them. This whole fair-weather-judgment when it only suits you is extremely disturbing. I just don't get it.

    1. Commenting on the fashions, hair and make up. It's not like we are oohing over Schneider and Singer @ glue. I think the next Met should focus on Hindu and Mormon Fashions. Ohhh the outrage!!!

  17. Met Gala is truly pathetic. It has now become the other BET/NAACP Image Awards, but without the shootings.

  18. Solange gave me the laugh that I needed this morning

  19. Re: Amal. A muslim decorated as a Catholic.lol. Oh hey, where are "your" kids, you rape apologist? Oh thats right, being raised by nannies.

  20. Kim K is boring folks, BORING. We should be grateful a Kard has actually achieved social media mediocrity.

Migos - LOVE! Versace men's silks never had better celebrity models.

Lopez - have to admire her energy and determination to continue being a presence. The dress is so-so but Lopez will rock it, no matter what.

Solange - Okay, a hot melting vulva, got it.

Cardi B - all kinds of fun considering she is heavily pregnant. Why isn't she wearing Mother Mary blue? Being a bit restrained?

    Amal - I don't get it.

    @Glue

Fair point. The only arguement I can counter with is that the Catholic Church has been a determiner of fashion and iconography for a long long time, officially and unofficially (remember that the Protestant church was born of too much embellishment in the Catholic church.) Can't tell me there weren't drag queens in the Vatican assembly going way back.

  21. Forgot Riri

Not feeling it. It's a little too rational and on point. The back of the outfit is fantastic, love the jacket and the fall of the skirt from behind. The combo of the back with a cocktail dress in front remind me of a mullet. I don't like the way the miter cuts her face either. Not Riri's best effort.

    1. This is EXACTLY how I felt. I thought the front was a dress and the long parts were part of the jacket thing. Then i saw the back and realized what it was. I like the back more than the front lol.

  22. Kim K's outfit completely matches her new perfume bottle which is probably the point.

    Still boring, outfit and bottle.

For the magic spell that would make all the Kards instantly boring to the viewing public, we would pay a whole lot.

  23. I really don't u understand Solange's outfit, what's worse is that I don't care.
I'm not a fan but Kim K looks absolutely beautiful here.

  24. Whatup with the theme of that Gala thouuugh? They consider themselves as Gods and Goddesses or what?

    ReplyDelete
  25. Solange let her Instagram followers pick her outfit. “Followers - Under the Influence” gets my vote for next year’s Met Gala theme.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I'm convinced that this is some type of underlying ceremony, Cardi does not belong there at all

  27. -amal....whatever.
-cardi b was glowing and i thought she kicked ass preggers in that get up.
-i liked solange's look. think she looked cool.
-as much as i can't stand effin' j-lo, she looked incredibly hot. like the dress. love her bod.
-all i think about now when i see migos is snl. lambo!
-hate her all you want, but kim is a goddess. i'm in awe of her beauty, and to hear that she's a really sweet person makes me like her. i realize i am quite alone in this. lol.
    -rihanna? slayer.

    1. Kim looked absolutely beautiful & I do not like her either. She is gorgeous & was even more gorgeous about 3 faces ago.

  28. @Glue, you're right of course. Making fun of Christians, especially Catholics, is always in vogue.

However, a Church-themed ball wouldn't *have* to be disrespectful. There's no way this crowd would ever play it respectfully, though. It looks like most of them ignored it anyway, which is probably the best we could hope for. I never would have guessed from the pictures there was any theme at all except attention-seeking.

  29. @petty

Kim is beginning to choose good causes to back, I'll give her that. It might lead to her being a much more interesting person.

As far as her physique is concerned, I can't get past the butt implants, sorry.

  30. What a pathetic display. The Met gala was always pretentious, but you saw some lovely gowns and stylish clothes, not the gimmicks on parade here. It's like a parade of satanic jokes and clowns, no class, no sass, all trash, not even "in" on the joke anymore. It's telling that George and Annal come to this thing like it means they're still cool and hip. Kim Kardashian? Rita Ora? Such a farce, fashion as fascism.

    ReplyDelete
  31. "fashion as fascism"

I didn't see anyone wearing Hugo Boss, did you?

Nor was anyone there sporting any sort of clothing vaguely nationalistic or military.

So why don't you explain what you mean and whether it felt really good to slap "fascist" on something other than Donny, May, LePen and Burlesconi.

    ReplyDelete
  32. This isn't about religion. The Met Gala is held to celebrate each year's Met Costume Institute exhibition which is opened during the Gala. The theme of this year's show is "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination".

The costumes worn at this gala were to be inspired by the glorious artwork that has gone into Catholic garb over the years. I guess you could say that short skirts with mitre hats are sacrilegious, but I didn't see anything truly risque last night.

  33. I love Cardi B's gown.

JLo always poses with her lips slightly parted and it reminds me of when a cat breathes through its mouth.

    ReplyDelete
  34. It was a lousy 'theme' and very few adhered to it.
The met gala really has become a joke. Reality whores, music whores and nobodies. It's a pathetic example of what our culture has become. Only a few brought the drama/costumes that it's supposed to be.

    ReplyDelete
  35. "It's a pathetic example of what our culture has become"

    Or it's just a party.

Jesus, does every little thing have to be judged by some arbitrary moral standard?
