Ever since a series of certain revelations over the years have I had a growing contempt and consternation for any type of Hollywood entertainment. There's always a needling eye telling me there HAS to be something up with each and every millisecond of 'programming' we watch. It has to be, it is too EXPENSIVE NOT to be. EVERY SECOND of airtime is accounted for and the big networks have honed their skills utilizing those seconds.
I am disappointed to have seen the comment above disappear that suggested Ellen is nothing more that an elaborate MOCKINGBIRD program of mass influence, and you couldn't be more correct about that if you tried. Ellen does indeed hold that contract for the most current "Feel Good" television programming out there.
I'm not going to delve into a great big diatribe on how pervasive and effective Hollywood brainwashing is, but if I could just impress upon you how INTENSIVE and ALL-ENCOMPASSING this program is, the UNSEEN cues, triggers, embedded innuendos and metaphors, the peripheral and direct subliminal and conscious triggers placed in each and every production since the beginning of Hollywood you would really begin to see what kind of HUMAN BEING THE INDUSTRY IS TRYING (and have succeeded) TO CREATE, you would be shocked beyond horror at the possibilities of what the world could have been if it wasn't for their meddling.
With that said Ellen was still one last vestige I could go to and enjoy a bit of mushy sentiment. I couldn't understand how easily even Ellen was able to make me cry, but I also noticed those things that a few of the commentator mentioned here. Her dislike, but like, of children. And of course her pathological adoration of animals over humans (AND THE FACT THAT SHE WAS SELLING gay AD SPACE WITH BRYAN SINGER,BROCK PIERCE AND COLLIN-RECTORS DEN). Slowly but surely her ideals and beliefs because of how eloquently they are presented with Hollyood magic (lighting, sound, sound effect and presentation), begin to get mirrored in those that are not aware they are being manipulated in that way whereas those trends that I just mentioned are ubiquitous in the gay community in certain strange hate filled sectors.
I've noticed something else that is odd as well. Does it look like Ellen is either VERY sick of this show and her audience that she always looks half thrilled to be there? Is she also sick of the FEELING siphons that funnel into her show to get their fix of female endorphins and free stuff?
Pandering to the Kardashians and wanting to get in the panties of a young lesbian using her program is as reprehensible and childish as I suspected her and Portia to be. She portrays herself as this morning exercise monogamous lesbian breadwinner with a shiny house and morals when she's just like the rest of them, a jetsetting snob on the lookout for the next good lay and an agenda to sell on her program.

So, she thought she'd remain on stage for an additional (15' ??? or so). The big casino boss called her into his office toot sweet. He explained to her "..Do you realize how much $$ you just cost me by remaining on stage for the extra minutes?!?!" Apparently, went on to explain exactly how much money each minute he then lost by her remaining on stage because the audience wasn't spending the money in the casino. In other words, they weren't spending money in the casino. She said he raked her over the coals so badly she, of course, never did it again anywhere. Said she was scared shitless by him. Summing up: Entertainment is to account for every SECOND....
