Well swift is far more ruthlessly ambitious, smarter and indeed talented than even madonna was at her peak so no wander she dislikes the bigger shark. Throw in the fact that in a few years she'll probably have more money and pointedly, didn't have to degrade herself at the start to get it either. The benefit of coming from money already.

She wrote and performed 3 massive selling country albums before she even went pop. I have no idea the answer, just wanted to say I think both Madonna and Taylor Swift are brilliant performers, great talents, and marketing geniuses. One does not have to negate the other. Anyone who thinks Madonna isn’t deservedly a permanent A+++ wasn’t around in the ‘80’s and I still love her music. Taylor Swift also is permanent A+ even at her young age and I enjoy her too.

The country HOF is chock full of mediocrities, as is the R&R hall of fame but there they tend to shy away from concept groups and performers shaped by marketing rather than talent, on the whole.
Country is famous for lauding mediocrity while ignoring talent that doesn't acknowledge Nashville on bended knee. Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson can tell you all about that.
