Blind Item #1
This former A list mostly television actor who played an iconic role and has even done so in other projects despite not getting much other work is trying to make some incidents with some women on a recent show go away before he gets caught up in the MeToo movement.
Matt LeBlanc or Matt Perry
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Enty is saying he reprised the iconic character in other projects, and he doesn't do much else.
DeleteBut you know, Enty grammar. *shrug*
I’d lean towards Perry. I think LeBlanc has a show right now.
ReplyDeleteMe too because Perry also did the reboot of Odd Couple (another iconic role)
DeleteMaybe one of the SNL guys in a spinoff movie. Chris Kattan perhaps.
ReplyDeleteRichard Belzer. Role of Detective John Munch, which he did on 11 different shows on 6 different networks (primarily Homicide and SVU), the only actor to accomolish that feat.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh this is a good one.
DeletePretty much the only other character Belzer plays is himself.
DeleteNote to self: never challenge Melvin on Hollywood trivia.
DeleteHasselhoff?
ReplyDeleteTom Selleck?
ReplyDeleteMelvin, I was just going to say him.
ReplyDeleteBit off topic, but has Ron Jeremy ever been caught up in any scandals ? Maybe complaints that he didn't get his meat out etc ?
ReplyDeleteAhhh, I see he has.... https://www.rollingstone.com/culture/features/inside-ron-jeremy-sexual-misconduct-allegations-w511844
DeleteKelsey Grammer?
ReplyDeleteGood one! Dr Frasier Crane was on Cheers, Frasier and made an appearances on Wings and the John Larroquette Show
DeleteDoes some Broadway success count?
DeleteFrasier was my guess +1
Deleteyeah, Ron Jeremy was accused of sexual misconduct by a few women, but was cleared.
ReplyDeleteCheers. Been hard to keep up.
DeleteChris Noth, Big from SATC
ReplyDeleteMatthew Fox
ReplyDelete"despite not getting much other work" eliminates Selleck and Noth
ReplyDeleteUgh it's like a list of my favorite tv actors :(
ReplyDeleteTim Allen
ReplyDeleteMatt LeBlanc did 'Joey' and is in a British comedy I should know the name of but can't remember....he is also the presenter of Top Gear over here.
ReplyDeleteEpisodes, which has just finished in UK. Le Blanc was (possibly) playing himself, not Joey. I enjoyed it, great cast.
DeleteThat's the one! Yep, great cast. He is doing quite well over here really.
DeleteAllen, LeBlanc, Selleck, Noth and Grammar do not work because they all get other work.
ReplyDeleteThe key phrase is "not much other work".
ReplyDeleteCould it be Jason Bateman from Arrested Development?
ReplyDeleteBelzer lives in France and is in really poor health.
ReplyDeleteAny day now we could hear about his passing, unfortunately, love him.
Kelsey Grammer would be my bet
ReplyDeleteJeremy piven. Or anyone from entourage, heard they are all a piece of work.
ReplyDeleteI can't find any news stories on the Googleboxes that state Belzer is sick and/or on death's door -- and that certainly didn't stop Bush senior, apparently. But if you look at Belzer's imdb page, he's *barely* done anything outside the John Munch role for a good long while now. Grammar sorta fits, but he still had Boss, Hank, Partners and The LAst Tycoon in the last few years, plus movie roles (Transformers...errr 4 or 5.) He still works pretty regularly.
ReplyDeleteJerry Seinfeld. Oy Vey!
ReplyDelete
ReplyDeleteIconic role - Frazier is the guess IMO. Not much other work, other project could be Cheers ...
Doesn't it sound like he hasn't worked up much other than reprising the iconic role in spinoffs?
ReplyDeleteCheck the IMDb -- Grammer's done a lot of work since the Frasier role, I don't think it's him.
*worked much
ReplyDeleteSomeone from Beverly Hills, 90210?
ReplyDeleteI'm stuck in the snowglobe with Belzer and I'm not sure it's him.
ReplyDeleteYes, this "vile anti-shemite" is a Det. Munch fan!
Kelsey Grammar/Frasier
ReplyDeleteOkay. This Kelsey Grammar's imdb page for acting.

Ever since Frasier ended in 2004, he has played in numerous movies, TV shows and guest spots in the fourteen years since. That is hardly "barely does anything else." Quite the opposite in fact.
Contrast that to Richard Belzer's.

Only one single role since 1999 that wasn't John Munch or himself. And he's played that role in 11 shows. In other words....he has barely done anything outside of reprising that one role over and over again.
Larry David
ReplyDeleteChris Noth.
ReplyDeleteOr Chris Meloni?

ReplyDelete~~Matt LeBlanc.
It is reported that he "Quit" Top Gear today, to 'be with friends and family'.
Uh huh.
