This B+ list mostly movie actress all of you know is propping up her side business to make it look like it is doing well. It isn't. It is in the red almost $100K per month and she needs to bail on the business but thinks it will make her look bad.
Jessica albas honest company is crazy lucrative. I think she's headed for billon dollar territory just like rhianna and the creepy twins with the overly large heads. Viva lady CEOs !
@Halloweenie nope. It is a flash in the pan and has huge market competition as it always had. She wasn't said to be the brains behind it to begin with, just the face. But unfortunately for her the brains behind it clearly didn't know the market. Bummer for her.
I thought Blake shut her site down? There’s this. https://www.google.com/amp/www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-5739051/amp/Jessica-Biel-stylish-wine-colored-tailored-suit-hosts-event-LA-eatery-Au-Fudge.html
It could be Alba. Honest Company was supposed to have an IPO in 2016 and they keep delaying it. They have had several law suits because they used chemicals and irritants and market themselves as all natural.
And there is this from late last year:
The Honest Co., co-founded by actress Jessica Alba, is raising new funding at a valuation 57% lower than its last round.
The company’s new Series E stock would be priced at $19.60. That’s more than half of the value of its Series D shares sold in 2015 at $45.75. This pushes the company’s total valuation down from $1.7 billion to below $1 billion. Last year, the company was in talks with Unilever to be acquired. But the deal never materialized.
I can believe it’s Biel and her restaurant. She could easily be pouring in 100k a more month. I sold my restaurant one year ago next month, best day of my life. Nickels turn into dollars, training staff to be accountable for every crumb, minute of payroll, and penny isn’t easy. And you would not believe the number of taxes you have to pay everyone. Unless you are high end and can charge big prices, which Au Fudge is not, you can never get above water. FWIW
How many episodes of arrested development s5 are there going to be 5/10, 5/20? That's really scaling things back. I think she's had too much work done and doesn't look anything like the character anymore.. but she is still Lindsay.
The lucrative celebrity side hustle that isn’t called yachting is in licensing that name and/or a brand partnership. Jessica Simpson will never have to sing another note or eat one tin of chicken of the sea.
They might not need it but they opened up high end stores in high end locations that are very busy. I joined the club for a year and got great stuff, nice quality and a lot for the money. I quit the monthly group and now drive to Charlotte to the store at SouthPark. Even my teen prefers their leggings to Victoria Secret Sports.

ReplyDeleteI'll go with Blake because I don't see how Jessica Biel's cafe could lose $100k/month.

To summarize:
DeleteIn January, 2017, the actress revealed that getting into the restaurant business was more challenging than she had expected.
Speaking to ABC late night host Jimmy Kimmel, she said the business was 'definitely not making money.
She added: 'Nobody’s making money in the restaurant business, in my experience, at least not yet.'
Biel's restaurant is a good guess
ReplyDeleteThere are definitely shenanigans going on there

ReplyDeleteAll these Jessicas with their side hustles. Simpson's clothing line at least makes money, I think?
ReplyDeleteClothing, shoes, purses, luggage....
DeletePortia De Rossi. She 'quit' acting to start her art businiess. Is now in 5 episodes of season 5 Arrested Development. She was on Ellen yesterday.

DeleteI thought art businesses were for money laundering?
ReplyDelete@Brayson87, money laundering, smuggling, and human trafficking. It's a well-diversified industry.
ReplyDeleteI thought art dealers were for putting bananas in tailpipes.

ReplyDeleteIMO, I think it's Kate Hudson and her Fabletics company - because no one needs an entirely new gym outfit every freaking month.

DeleteMunn and her stupid fucking dog-sitting business. Hot as fire but dumb as a box of rocks.
ReplyDeleteDoes Betty White have a side gig? I'm going with her....
ReplyDeleteMy first thought was Kate Hudson and her yoga crap.
ReplyDeleteFabletics makes good stuff. Just sayin.
ReplyDeletePosh Spice
ReplyDeleteIs SJP's shoe line making any money?
