Blind Item #12

Apparently there is a new cure for whatever condition is ailing this former A+ list singer turned A/A- lister wannabe actress. She takes LSD once a week like clockwork.

  1. Well sure you should give it at least 3 days in between doses or so I heard from a documentary about substance abuse on PBS in school during health class, the patterns! ;)

  3. There a lot of studies being done right now testing small doses of LSD as a treatment for things like depression and anxiety (same with small doses of Special K), so meh.

  6. Yep-the science on the positive effects of LSD is now pretty well established. Nothing makes more clear how distorted the medical system in this country has become than the fact LSD and marijuana, both of which have been shown to have many positive results without being chemically addictive, are still illegal in large parts of the country, while incredibly addictive and destructive opioids have been legally pushed across the country. I hope as a country we are finally waking up on this-if Gaga becomes a public advocate on this all the better.

  7. If Gag Gag is taking hallucinogens, it may improve her worldview. I hope so.

I have done LSD and mushrooms several times and I think they were mostly good for me. Certainly expanded my mind, as promised. Last time was 20+ years ago (natural, not synthetic). Would not do them now, however.

Every time you eat hallucinogenic mushrooms, your poop smells horribly like rotten mushrooms for a day or two, though.

  10. sign me up because honestly anti depressants are fucking poison with so many side effects that the doctors dont warn you about. If you are going to go on them, check the fine print and then check it again. Honestly, I've been having terrible withdrawal symptoms coming off this stuff. If there are other avenues to explore do it please.

  12. @Ervin,
Yes, Special K is one of the street names for it.

  13. Gaga would probably be better off using PCP

  14. But I thought Gaga's issue was fibromyalgia? Small doses of LSD for pain?

  15. I just listened to a podcast about this. It's been promising. People are given a very low dosage, so low that they don't trip. The first dose you do feel a little weird, but I think it's every few days of low doses at first.

Two of the hosts admitted they have depression, and decided to try the therapy. One of them thought it made a difference, the other didn't.

Personally, I think it's a good idea to try various different things to see if we can help people with mental illness.

  16. +1,000 very certain cases I would agree with use. I think big pharma will some how get their hands on any part of any drug that people are accepting of using and just exploit it and make people addicted because reality is getting too hard for people to handle. I grew up with two pot heads in my family, they for sure form glass realities and it's a real side effect that no one talks about.
