This foreign born A list mostly movie actress who is an Academy Award winner says that when she landed her first few decent roles she had to sleep with the directors to get the parts. She says she would still do it now if it got her the role she wanted. She says it is the reason she got two big roles last year that were supposed to go to actresses much younger than her.

Charlize was famous in Italy before making it in Hollywood for commercials. There was one where she was out drinking martini in a knit dress and a thread got stuck in the chair as she is walking away and the dress unravels.
ReplyDeleteIn italy, at least at that time, you definitely wouldnt get those kind of gigs without sleeping with someone. She also did a lot of gratuitous nude scenes in her early movies, so I can totally see this being her, she doesnt seem to have many hang ups with her body.

DeleteCould be a number of actresses Halle Berry slept with Spike Lee to get her first big break in Jungle Fever. People will say that Berry and Lee were dating but come on. The interesting thing about this METOO movement is no mainstream media DARES to publish articles about women who DO SLEEP their way to the top! Wonder why? People can argue it is consensual BUT the casting couch is NEVER going to go away. Because there are women in Hollywood who kNOW if they sleep with the director they will get the big film roles. I don't think it is fair how unbalanced it is. These actresses are not defenceless little victims. Even Pam Anderson called out these women in Hollywood for their hypocrisy.
