This permanent A list mostly movie actor pushed hard for a recent turn of events in the news cycle because he wanted a happy ending for the movie he is producing.
I think they recently pardoned Jack Johnson for some trumped-up crimes way back when that were intended to remove him from the boxing ring so that white fighters would once again win the big money championships. It's the source of a movie called The Great White Hope.
