Blind Item #10

This alliterate actress has been making noise to her Twitter fans. She says that an actress who was previously a co-star and left the show before our alliterate actress (and got higher ratings) earned her job via the casting couch.

  1. Pretty catty and stupid to diss an old co-star. Sooner or later karma will bite ya in your ass.

    1. Whatever. The women who got ahead by using the casting couch freely and often are Part 2 of #MeToo, enabled predators, and kept the system intact. Of course their names will come out, and if the men deserve to lose their reputations and careers then these women do too.

  2. Pauley Perrette and Sophia Loren's daughter in law (forgot the name) or Cote De Pablo

  3. Burning bridges and watching your future career opportunities go up in flames at the same time.

Graceful exit, and a bit of smile for the camera while keeping your mouth shut would have helped. Who would want to work with her now?

    1. Yep every woman should just keep her mouth shut about the casting couch culture in Hollywood. JFC this place.

Unfortunately PP is too mentally unhealthy that she can't help but have an emotional spin out when her 16 year old career ends and she had little choice about it.

  4. Thought this was “charmed “ maybe-the actress who got her role Rose McGowan ? Not sure if alliterate actress....

    1. Kaley Cuoco was on the show....
      Count for alliteration or no?

  5. Tricia,
Rose was the replacement for Shannon Doherty on "Charmed," so it wouldn't have been them.

  6. I think I remember an alliterate name with a hard and soft "c", or similar, Tricia. So pretty sure Enty counts the actual letter rather than the sound. I could be wrong.

  7. Could Charisma Carpenter be the alliterative actress? That was a while ago, but things obviously weren't all happiness on the "Buffy" and "Angel" sets.

  8. OH my god, seriously? You're blaming the women? YOU know the "casting couch" is often just a euphemism for sexual abuse.

    1. It's terrible. Because a victim consents to the couching, the blame is solely on her/him and not the patriarchal crap fest that makes it normal. Sigh.

    2. If she can say no, but chooses not to for her own gain, then she is NOT a victim!

  10. Women (or men) who choose to casting couch are not "victims." They're willing to do it.

    1. I agree. A victim is a person who doesn't consent, says no not yes and thank you for my next big role. It's hard to take in but some women and men do know that offering sex in certain situations gets them where they want to be in Hollywood. It's wrong but if they're adults then it's not abuse. When it's children it is rape as they can not consent.

      Delete
    2. As a victim myself saying that all these people that agree to having sex are victims is actually an issue to me. It minimises what saying 'no' actually means and how serious sexual assault actually is.

    3. I'm really sorry to hear that Amy. I hear you and support you. 😙
I was highlighting that it's so embedded in the Hollywood machine that when someone says no they may become a pariah or not get offered auditions. It's so twisted. I understand my use of the word victim is problematic, but I believe the situation is too.

  11. They are living in a system that makes it difficult to say no. I can't believe we are still blaming the women.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. And again, they are living in that system by their own CHOICE!

  12. Seems pretty obvious the Casting Couch is the only sure way to get solid celebrity status and repeat roles in winning productions. OBVIOUSLY. So we're going to vilify people who've made that choice? Seems unfair.

    1. Uh yes because these are the same people who are supporting that bullshit metoo movement and are screaming rape and ruining people’s lives. This whole casting couch shit needs to stop! If men and women both stop fucking for roles it would end!

      Delete
    2. Exactly! If they would all say no and stop allowing people like Weinstein to have sex with them in exchange for movie roles this disgusting behavior would stop! Their agreeing with and participating in this sick system only keeps it going.

  14. people who choose casting couch in pursuit of fame and fortune and to get a possible leg up / advantage over their competetion know what they are doing and made the choice to couch.
if all they cared about was being an actor/actress, acting and 'honing their craft' they can do that anywhere and even in local productions and they can still make it to the top with hard work.

  15. If what Pauley Perrette is saying is even true, which seems like a big if, then Cote De Pablo was fairly young and just starting out, so likely was pressured and is a victim. But her story of auditioning with Michael Weatherly is easy to find.

Also, she's done very little since NCIS, so this obviously isn't something she chooses to do.

  17. Pauley Perrette about Cote de Pablo

    ReplyDelete
  18. hopefully Pauley Perrette can live off her residuals bc she probably wont get good paying work again. maybe some straight to On Demand stuff.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I think it's obvious Perrette had a lot of jealousy of her co stars, and Cote de Pablo was the babe on the show. SHe talked trash about Cote to fans way back, that was the origin of that whole crazy story of Pauley bullying a young fan.

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
    1. Seems like Perrette has nothing better to do than message little girls trashing a costar that left years ago that no one has ever really heard from again? What does Cote have that Pauley wants?

      Delete
    2. Cote has Michael Weatherly’s attention. Pauley claims he’s like s brother to her but I think she wanted more.

  20. oh yeah. "Unknown" screaming about the bullshit metoo movement. Sounds clear you're a guy who did creepy things to women yourself.

  23. YOu should talk to Asia Argento. SHe "consented" to have sex with Weinstein because she had no choice. Sometimes the term "casting couch" has been a euphemism, and a way to blame the women. ANd here are people on this effing site, blaming the women for sexual assault in Hollywood. Unbelievable.

    1. Sexual assault victims are not given a choice! Casting couch participants do have a choice. Huge massive difference!

Wow. Wow. Okay, Pauley. I guess that's supposed to make you feel better basing Cote's success on the casting couch instead of the truth of her amazing talent and beauty inside and out that you never had and never will. Pauley never lies?? Twists the truth on the pitbull, lies about physical assaults, and now suggesting Cote had to have sex with producers to get or stay on the show?? Go admit yourself to a psych hospital!

    ReplyDelete
  25. Oh my goodness! When I was thinking Pauley had enough bad talking about Cote, there's always more and more vomit coming out her sick mouth and mind. PAULEY NEEDS TREATMENT URGENTLY!

  26. @Dido Twite obv you don't "live in the system" because that's actually not true. Trust me on that.

  30. Paul is not done herself any favors saying things that will remind everyone of what she bad mouthed Cote, it's going to ruin her for good.

    ReplyDelete
  31. Sleeping with a co-star who has no say on casting decisions isn't 'casting couch'. It's jealousy from pauley Perrette that Michael Weatherly slept with Cote De Pablo and not her.

Enty even included the aside that CdP got higher ratings to show this was jealous lies rather than something that actually happened.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I'm guessing PP has no f***'s left to give after banking all those cheques over the years and the residuals coming in the future. After 16+ years you are already paid, unless it all went up your nose.

    ReplyDelete
  33. Someone in power making sex a condition to being hired for a job is most definitely a form of assault. It shouldn't even be put on the table.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Just because this person is being accused ( and I think we know who’s doing the accusing and who the accused is) doesn’t mean they are guilty. I for one don’t believe it for a minute. I think the accuser needs a lot hel.

  35. Cote hosted a show on Univision called Control. One of the segment reporters on the show was a Colombian named Lianna Grethel; she still works on a show called Alarma TV. Anyway she also was a suitcase girl on Deal Or No Deal and allegedly used to run with co suitcase girl Meghan Markle making that funny money.
