Everyone loves this actor. If you ask someone if they like him, they will say yes. He started out on television as a teen on a hit network show and has had some decent movie roles over the years. He is a lead, but one of those quiet leads who straddles the line between indie and box office getting those quiet box office movies. Generally the movies he leads are your movies that look like they are going to have some Oscar noms but always fall a little short. You all know him. Name to face? It is a tough one, but you all know the face. He is married. The thing is though, he is the guy who always leaves his wife at home even if he has a premiere. He got married to have people stop asking questions about his private life.
This story happened about a year ago and the actor paid a settlement and the victim signed a NDA, but is willing to speak here. Apparently our actor, even though he lives in town got a hotel room. He then found our victim on Grindr. Our actor is HIV+. Our actor didn't tell the victim that though. Our actor told the victim he liked rough sex and offered the victim $1000 for rough sex. The victim agreed and before he knew it he was tied up and being used. Our actor didn't use any protection and beat and basically raped the victim multiple times while the victim was restrained. At the end of it, the actor released the victim and actually gave him $1500 instead of the $1000 but had him sign an NDA. The NDA also included a provision that forbid the guy for suing if he caught any kind of STD from the actor.
Fast forward about six months and the victim discovered he is now HIV+. The only person he had unprotected sex with was the actor. When he tried to reach out to the actor he was shut down by his legal team and a pair of security people who visited the studio apartment of the victim. He was reminded of the NDA. When he threatened to go to the media, a repeat visit from the security guards and another letter from an attorney who threatened to sue the victim even though the victim was HIV+. Our victim got a lawyer. The lawyer managed to get $20K from the actor but that was it. He did also find out, the actor has done this to other men before. At least three other men that the lawyer discovered.

ReplyDeleteOhhhhhhh that's a good guess...
Deletenot married
DeleteHe married Tasha Mcauley on 2014
DeleteThanks Saraππ»
Terrible to think about:(
woah... i missed a marriage and 2 kids?? talk about quiet!
DeleteWhoa. Good guess. But I hope not. He's one of my favorites
DeleteI remember when he got married. There were a lot of "Oh, I guess he's straight" reactions. So it fits the blind. π
DeleteSuch a great guess.
DeleteGot this straight away..he popped right into my head. I don't think I've met anyone who doesn't like him but remember he apparently had a very intense relationship with Michael Pitt?? May be wrong!

ReplyDeleteπ°
DeleteJGL definitely makes the most sense...jeez.
ReplyDelete30 Rock from the Sun the big network show he was on as a teen
Movies like 50/50, 500 Days of Summer, The Walk, and Snowden are kind of exactly what enty described...somewhere between indie and box office and just short of being critically acclaimed enough to get Oscar buzz.
Makes you wonder if he messed with the wrong person, to keep getting passed up like that.
DeleteJGL most likely. Just spent five minutes trying to find a picture of him at a movie premiere with his wife. Don't think they exist.
ReplyDeleteThe moment I saw he was in that blasphemous anti-Christmas/anti-Christian "holiday" "comedy" called "The Night Before," with Seth Rogan, I figured JGL was a sick-o. Probably abused since childhood, so I'll try to summon up some empathy. Working with John Lithgow was probably hard, too.
Christians are so persecuted these days. Right. I’d love to see an atheist politician try and get elected. It would never happen, so stop with your religious persecution complex.
DeleteSelf proclaimed Atheists make up roughly 2% of the US population whereas between 60-70% identify as Christian. Using those numbers of the overall population, of course you aren't going to see a multitude of atheist politicians!
Delete+11 @Lunchpail
DeleteThere’s nothing wrong with living life without Christianity in it. It would be nice if Ddonna and others would stop equating people who aren’t Christian with “anti-Christian” and their warped view of Satanists.*
*Which I’ve pointed out before is so grossly inaccurate as to be an insult to actual Satanists.**
**Again, Which I am not, but those I’ve known have been friendly, rational, and intelligent.
+1 lunchpailefty. No kidding.
DeleteI believe people are choose to worship who or want they want. I also people are free to share their beliefs, but that does not mean they are to cram it down our throats.
DeleteHappy Friday!
+1 DDonna
DeleteWhoever he is he needs to be publicly named and arrested.
ReplyDeleteThis blind really sucks to hear, I liked JGL. Now I don't. There's simply no one left in Hollywood that has a soul. JGL was probably molested in his youth, the cycle continues.
ReplyDeleteMe too but I also always got a spacey vibe off him(even the specifics of hosting SNL and being this majorly talented ,but clearly closeted “Aw shucks” guy
DeleteI really hope its not JGL. I enjoy almost everything he appears in.
Deleteagree^^^^
DeleteRemember he was cast as the cool new guy in "That 70's Show"...that turned out to be gay?
DeleteSo you don’t like JGL because a few people guessed that this blind is about him? You leave zero room for the option that their guesses are wrong and will go on hating him because of guesses? Lmao. I can’t. You blind item fanatics and your gullibility is hilarious.

Delete*3rd Rock from the Sun.
ReplyDeleteLol, I didn't mean to combine two show names into one. Maybe need to think a bit more while posting comments here haha.
I would watch that crossover. "Hold up! These dudes are ALIENS?" - Tracy Jordan
DeleteIn this situation I would think the existence of an NDA would be more dangerous for the perpetrator than not having one. If it were overcome by a court, it's an admission of a serious crime.
ReplyDeleteNoooooo!
ReplyDeleteMysterious Skin is a freakin dark movie. If this is JGL, it would be very ironic.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhhhh that movie gave me chills.
DeleteThat scene of him in the bath tub. It’s almost a role reversal of this blind.
DeleteYes, I am in contract law actually and honestly NDAs are not the end-all-be-all that people think.
ReplyDeletePretty much there is no such thing as an "ironclad" NDA and I don't understand why NDAs are keeping so many monsters on the streets.
All NDAs have a provision that says what happens if the NDA is broken and the "secret" is leaked. The answer is pretty much - I'll sue you for damages in a court of law.
But if you said someone broke an NDA to say a man raped you and gave you HIV, what sort of judge or jury would punish you for breaking the NDA?
Is that the Reasonable Man?
What if the victim doesn’t want everyone to know what happened?
DeleteYou can’t enforce an NDA when the matter involves a crime, a public health hazard, and some other reason. The story is the two listed. Either his lawyer hasn’t heard of google or at least part of the story is bullshit.
DeleteWhoever it is, they should be exposed.
ReplyDelete@Lunchpaillefty
ReplyDelete+1
There's the term 'bugchasing', but is there a nickname for HIV+ people who intentionally spread it?
ReplyDeleteWhat kind of monster would do this deliberately & try to silence you. Screw the NDA, bring on the lawsuit, I'd want my day in court.
Joseph Gordon Levitt is HIV+??!!!
ReplyDeletemost lawyers who are worth their weight will tell you there's no such thing as iron clad. NDAs don't mean anything when it really comes down to it. Expose the asshole.

The moment I saw he was in that blasphemous anti-Christmas/anti-Christian "holiday" "comedy" called "The Night Before," with Seth Rogan, I figured JGL was a sick-o."
So anyone who satirizes Christianity is a sick-o?
Your efforts would probably be better spent looking inside then outside there.
"Nice guy" in Hollywood? The phrase is oxymoronic. It doesn't exist. At B list or above, they are into the rituals, the 'games', the ceremonies. You don't go higher without it. It's why my high school bff bolted from LA, several years ago. He tried. The elephant in the room. Call a spade a spade, why don't you? Instead of posting the same stories over and over..... where 'only the names have changed'?
ReplyDeleteOoooooooof - I like(d?) JGL a lot, but he does seem to fit for this one. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteI have a different guess: is it Ben Foster ?
ReplyDeleteI think he was on Freaks an Geeks. Is he married?
I hope not him, "The messenger" us one of my favourite movies ever.
Not married, plus either in $cio, or linked to it through gf Laura Prepon. Enty would never miss a chance to mention the connection.
Delete@Sara Ben has hidden his $cn connection for years but is getting more open with it. He's a supporter of Masterson, too
DeleteDid any of these incidents happen in California before it stopped being a crime to knowingly infect someone with HIV?
ReplyDeleteAny good lawyer (scroll up), will get that NDA invalidated simply on the grounds that the victim had no prior notification of his HIV status, and that the actors actions showed intent (and a pattern of behavior with the other victims) to knowingly and purposefully infect them.
If these victims get together with a good attorney, I can see papers flying in the opposite direction.
This blind gives me the sad. Thoughts and well wishes to the victim. I'm sorry this has happened to you
ReplyDeleteAgreed. This is so very sad.
DeleteRyan Gosling also fits the bill
ReplyDelete@totaji
DeleteI believe the number of people who cannot put a name to RG's face to be a bery small number
Joe and Martha Turnip from Sheboygan might not.
DeleteCan confirm I wouldn’t know Ryan Gosling by name if I met him on the street. And I live in LA.
Delete@Remie
ReplyDeleteWRONG. According to Pew and Gallup the number of atheists in the USA is roughly 10%...and growing...as more atheists feel free to be honest about it.
https://www.vox.com/science-and-health/2017/4/13/15258496/american-atheists-how-many
And to burst your bubble on international statistics, the designation "non-believer" is growing faster than any religion world wide.
https://news.nationalgeographic.com/2016/04/160422-atheism-agnostic-secular-nones-rising-religion/
As far as politicians go, most are forced to say they believe but I'm fairly sure that many of those are lying outright. Do you really count Nixon and Reagan as Christians? If so, you have a mighty flexible definition for your terms.
@Chug, I don't think it's the NDA alone that keeps people quiet. It's the fact that the NDA will be pursued by lawyers who make more in an hour than the victim makes in a week, quite possibly in front of judges who are on the take. It's the fact that they know the perp has the media backing to destroy their reputation and drive/keep them out of the industry (assuming they're aspiring stars, which they probably are). It's the whole threat to their well-being, possibly including their physical well-being, that goes along with it.
ReplyDeleteAlso can a Californian explain to me the upside of decriminalizing the knowing transmission of an incurable, potentially deadly disease?
ReplyDelete@sign
DeleteI think the idea was to avoid criminalizing living with HIV to encourage people to get treatment. When “knowing”* is the litmus for a criminal act, a significant number of people respond by avoiding knowing.
I’m sure you can see the public health risks there.
I also recall something about there being other ways to prosecute the blatantly knowing transmission. Like the syringe example. (Assault with a deadly weapon)
It was and is a complicated issue but anything that gets the greatest number treatment and testing is in the public interest.**
*notoriously complex to prove under US law ****
**Especially with PREP and current treatment capable of reducing HIV to undetectable levels.***
***Its still a serious-ass disease, but treatments available these days make an enormous difference in the way it plays out.
****Kind of like the genetic testing debate. A lot of people would rather not know if there’s something deadly lurking that could cost them their insurance or employment if they knew about it.
Dear victim:
ReplyDeletePlease come forward. The worst thing the rapist can do to you has been done. Challenge the actor to an HIV test. Challenge him to take a blood test to prove he is not on any medication that is or can be used to specifically treat HIV.
If you need money, people will donate. Go on disability if you have to. But please come forward.
* Public Challenge
DeleteFaux Christians have done more damage to society than any diseased hooker ever.
ReplyDeleteFirst: Did any of you see "The Night Before"? Barfing in a church on Christmas Eve was only one of many examples of blasphemy.
ReplyDeleteSee many movies or TV shows where such vile behavior takes place in a mosque? A Jewish Temple? Of course you don't. Only Christians are fair game. Hollywood hates Christianity, that's why they remove it from source material even when it's critical to the narrative theme or message: "Unbroken," the latest "Ben-Hur," and most recently "A Wrinkle in Time." All failures, by the way. And of course there are many other examples.
As for the satanists, there are as many different branches of satanism, and they've got a helluva PR game running right now. Some of them are simply self-centered "do what thou wilt under the law" types, but there are also the much darker occult branches that worship an otherworldly being. I, too, have met self-declared satanists who were smart and seemed cool, but I don't know what they're up to at 3am under the full moon while I'm contently asleep.
Also a nod in the direction of this comment from @mercyprosperity:
> It doesn't exist. At B list or above, they are into the rituals, the 'games', the ceremonies. You don't go higher without it. It's why my high school bff bolted from LA, several years ago.
I bolted as well. I've seen all this up close, gotten an inkling of what it is they really want. People who think all that's going on is going on at the surface, material world level, are deluded. By design.
@Ddonna
DeleteUnbroken is a great example of secular-washing a movie tbh. The movie was okay but having read both his autobiography and Unbroken, I found the movie to be unanchored, hollow and emotionless. His story is one of faith in the Christian God, so steering around it left a hole, imo.
Maybe it was a different experience for those who came to the movie w/o that background.
Our book club tead both books and attended the movie together as a discussion outing. We were uniformly disappointed
DeleteWe know better than to take Seth’s movies seriously.
Delete@Ddonna
DeleteI haven’t seen the movie, but I’m pretty sure a lot of churches have seen vomit on Christmas Eve. It’s a service a lot of people who don’t regularly go to church or spend time with their families do so and it can be incredibly stressful for them.
Stress vomit is a huge thing.
So is being marched to Christmas Eve/Easter services with a tummy bug.
I always felt sorry for my Christian friends growing up who were in that situation. By age 18, most of them had come out as atheist in part because they couldn’t reconcile the message with the practice.
But I can say I’ve been around my Satanist friends at 3am on the night of the full/new/gibbous/crescent/waning/waxing moon, and mostly they’d be either: drunk, playing board games, watching movies, sitting in a 24 hour diner, or hanging out around the campfire chatting. Pretty sure a lot of them were off having sex but I wasn’t THAT close friends. ;)
Seems like they help give the impression of ironclad which is probably most of the game. Anyone know what’s going on with the supposed Stormy D nda?
ReplyDeleteThis is so sick and twisted and horrible. This person HAS to be exposed for the monster he is. I thought it was illegal to “purposely” try to infect someone with HIV? Isn’t it the equivalent of attempted murder? (Or wasn’t it... before the drug cocktails...?)
ReplyDelete@Chug ChooChoo

@Natasha21
Ben Foster is an interesting guess (since I'm biased and don't want it to be JGL.) He is married, I think, to Laura Prepon and they are both Scientologists. I don't know if they attend red carpet events together though.
He was in Freaks and Geeks, a cult favorite, and 6 Feet Under in his youth. He does mostly indy-ish work, too.
"Faux Christians have done more damage to society than any diseased hooker ever."
ReplyDeleteThis is also true. Many so-called Christians are absolute hypocrites and frauds.
The whole decriminalize hiv to reduce stigma push w respect to a positive person failing to disclose is one of the most messed up things I have heard in my entire life. There was a case recently in Canada that did much the same thing- sorry but it’s frightening as hell.
ReplyDeleteWill I go to jail if I knowingly collect HIV+ blood into a syringe & then inject someone with it...
ReplyDeleteThe other thing about "Unbroken" was how it seemed to revel in the torture. They promoted that movie as a great example of the triumph of the human spirit, but everyone I know who saw it--me included--said it left them feeling lousy. Which is what it was supposed to do.
ReplyDeleteThat whole project from Jon Voight's creepy daughter was designed to corrupt the source material. Fortunately, it failed.
My kids and I read the book( kids are college age). Really good book detailing sacrifice , forgiveness etc. despite the horror. Did not see the movie but hear it was a different focus. Sometimes these types of biographies don’t translate well.
Delete@DDonna
ReplyDelete" many examples of blasphemy"
You might want to look at the blasphemy of what kinds of pols Mighty Xtians support before blaming others for our lack of respect for you. Clean up your own house, something you, no doubt, admonish Muslims to do constantly.
"Only Christians are fair game."
Oh poor you! When have you seen a Christian terrorist in a movie? Even though they represent the majority of terrorist acts inside the USA?
You will remain fair game since your hypocrisy is so obvious, so blatant, in US society.
"here are as many different branches of satanism"
Naturally! Since anything that contradicts one's own sacred fee fees can be labeled satanist; that's mighty convenient.
Used to work for JGLs Father and knew the mother as well. Meet JGL a few times as well as his late brother. I highly doubt any abuse was going on in that household, sexual or other.
ReplyDeleteNot saying this can't be JGL just not buying the abused at home angle.
I'm afraid to guess.
ReplyDeleteI have learned we can get by but we can't get over.

ReplyDeleteGEEEE For fucksake! I always found JGL to be so loveable and a fan of his work. He has children as well gross just gross.
ReplyDeleteWell I`m dissapointed Ben Foster is connected to that AWFUL cult. Hopefully he will be the one to take her OUT of that. Wasn`t she married to the brother of the Rapist Masterson? Also just googled it, they are NOT married, but engaged. ALOT of pictures together!
ReplyDeleteI love him so I`m a little relieved.
Fuck YOU Scientology, Stay away from him!
Garbage people...
@Natasha21
DeleteI hate to tell you this but Ben's $cio roots go back 10+ years. After RWP, he's been pretty open about the connection, but hid it well before then. $cn watchers knew though
Been trying to make this work with someone else but having a hard time doing so. JGL is the only real fit. I really liked JGL too :(

ReplyDeleteThe part of this story that triggers my bullshit meter is the client accepting a payout of 20K with the help of a lawyer. That's is trifle , almost a charitable donation, if this victim had any sort of proof of his claims that a)he was assaulted and raped b)his HIV was contracted through his rapist.
What this victim claims must not have much credibility in court or for arbitration. Saying one only had unprotected sex that one time is not the same as proving it. No NDA agreement would stand in the way of filing a sealed civil court case.
@Cail
I think that it's also a lack of evidence that prevents many from bringing cases against their abusers. It can't be stated strongly enough that anyone who is raped or abused MUST go to a hospital or doctor immediately for the taking of photos and other evidence.
@plot Thanks for the “fee fees” laugh.
DeleteAnd you’re right about going to the hospital/documenting everything. That’s the first thing defense will grill the victim about. And often the only thing they need to.
@plot
DeleteThe victim may have been afraid to come forward because money was exchanged. Many people, including some law enforcement believe sex workers cannot be raped.
Not only that, the rapist could say "He paid me to do this." He might even have text messages proving he told the victim he wanted rough sex.

ReplyDeleteDon't hate me, or do, but Ben has been in Scientology for a long assed time. He drifted away for a while, dated Robin Wright Penn, but they drew him back and now he's deeply in with Prepon.
People meet a celebrity and forget all about protection. As if celebs are above any diseases.
ReplyDeleteJGL has the weirdest vibe about him. Something always seemed off. To me anyway.
@Ddonna Tartty Thanks for your response. Sorry you went thru that. As I said, my best friend from high school had a terrible experience as well. Bad enough for him to break his two comedy club gigs, break his lease, put his pup in the car, and go back east. Some kind of 'party', is the only thing he will say.
ReplyDeletePeace
J.Depp? Chris Pine?
ReplyDelete@DDonna It's been a few years, but that reminds me that yes, the movie had a depressing effect on our book club. IIRC we barely had any discussion. We just attributed it to bad film-making
ReplyDeleteNo, nope. Please no. Not JGL.
ReplyDeletePretty much pegged Plot-twisted a while back as an anti-Christian mouthpiece for the satanists, glad to see him plowing that ground so transparently. Remember: This is the guy who was trying to convince us all that Dan Schneider was being unfairly vilified. There were a could days after he got disgraced that we saw a bit of self-effacing humility, but I guess that's done now.
ReplyDeleteKeep 'em coming, Plot-twisted! Every time you attack me, I love it! Makes me ever more sure I'm close to the target. You're like radar! I'm extremely gratified you took the satanism thing head on. Also: Not very wise to try to presume what happens in a movie you've never seen--you couldn't be more off-base.
@Ddonna
DeleteI think you might have me mixed up with plot on this one. I’m the one who said I didn’t see the movie and didn’t understand what would be blasphemous about vomiting in church.
I’m not presuming my examples are what happened in the movie. I’m just using them as examples to question why vomiting in church on Christmas Eve would be considered blasphemous.
It’s an honest question, not an attack. I really don’t understand what about it hits the Christian blasphemy button.
I’m also the one who replied tongue in cheek about Satanists at 3:00am under the moon. (Speaking of mainstream Satanism, the “an it harm none” branches). I believe plot replied with a focus on anthiests.
I’m trying to think of anyone I can place who fits the blind as well, but I’m realizing that the “you probably wouldn’t place his name” along with “low key” makes guessing a non-starter for me.
ReplyDeleteWhoever this guy is, he deserves the full Nassar treatment by his victims in court.
Being HIV+ isn’t criminal. But knowingly risking others to a life-long serious disease should be.
I should add, that is making my Credulity waver primarily because any half decent lawyer would be able to use that NDA for a much bigger settlement than $20k. Especially with multiple victims’ testimony to back it all up.
DeleteMade up? Embellished? Exaggerated? Possible.
Jared Leto fits the bill as well.
ReplyDelete@totaji
DeleteI thought he might, but then I considered the parts of the blind about “low key” and movies that don’t quite make it into Oscar contention. Plus most people saying they like him, and he didn’t fit so well anymore.
Since Suicide Squad, he has a lot more face recognition than he used to.
Joaquin Phoenix?
ReplyDeleteWasn’t part of a hit tv show.
Delete" an anti-Christian mouthpiece for the satanists"
ReplyDeleteWhat do you folks think? Should I embrace this or laugh? Being DDonna's favorite pet satanist might mean extra treats!
" This is the guy who was trying to convince us all that Dan Schneider was being unfairly vilified."
When? You are going to have to back up that assertion and Imma hound you till you do. Where have I defended anything about Dan Schneider? You'd better do your research now cuz I'm not letting this go.
"Not very wise to try to presume what happens in a movie you've never seen--you couldn't be more off-base."
I have no clue what you are talking about.
Keep up the good work man. Pay no mind to the strawmen and nutty extremists. (Have you seen A Christmas Carol?! It’s about Satanism?!!!)
Delete@plot Aw, come on, man! I put in all that work to be a good PR voice for the Satanists when our resident card carrying Satanist isn’t around, and you get all the credit! :)
DeleteKeifer Sutherland?
ReplyDelete@TW
ReplyDelete"The victim may have been afraid to come forward"
True. I'm not trying to disregard all the legitimate reasons a victim might not come forward. It's a heavy burden, after all.
And I don't mean to demean sex professionals either nor suggest they can't be raped or abused. Gosh, I hope I didn't imply that anywhere.
I just find the payout of 20K rather strange. If there was any sort of proof of any aspect of this story, the lawyer could have pursued a whole lot more, even with a NDA, even without going to court.
@plot
DeleteI understood what you were saying. I added my comment to contribute. Someone else may not have known what you meant. I apologize for the confusion & I thank you for not jumping down my throat.
Christian Bale? Jonathan Tucker?
ReplyDeleteJonathan Tucker would be a decent guess, but the only TV he did as a teen were guest shots. So I think that disqualifies him.
Delete@Han
ReplyDeleteDoes JGL count as someone who's name is generally not known though his face is familiar? I'm out of touch with the popularity of stars. I thought JGL is better known that that.
@plot
DeleteI thought more people would place his face to his name after Inception, but he does seem to not be plastered all over supermarket checkout lines.
He sounds plausible for “you all know him but can’t place his name/face” level of fame.
And I think @Ddonna has me mixed up with you on the movies you haven’t seen. I mentioned in a reply to her upthread that I hadn’t seen the movie with “blasphemous” vomit in a church.
It would appear that JGL has 2 children with his wife. The children resemble the actor.
ReplyDelete"He can't be gay or bi. He has kids."
DeleteUmmm.
Yeah, Jared Leto doesn't fit. Never been married. So far JGL is the the only one who fits perfectly, though it makes me sad. Jason Bateman crossed my mind for it too, (Valerie/Hogan family as a teen) but I don't really think his movies were near Oscar worthy, that I can remember.
ReplyDeleteThe blind says:
ReplyDelete"has had SOME decent movie roles over the years. He is a lead, but one of those QUIET leads who straddles the line between indie and box office getting those QUIET BOX OFFICE movies."
"You all know him. Name to face? It is a tough one, but you all know the face."
Please stop guessing huge box office actors that everyone knows and nearly everyone can name. I do think @Tricia13 got it w/ JGL guess but it might be so more guesses are good.
But throwing in huge box office stars, and two of the freakin' Kneepad's Sexisest Men of the Year is not helpful lol
Okay I re-read and I think someone is trolling us, the guesses are so bad.
DeleteJGL doesn't deny he's gay: When asked by Out magazine why he won't refute talk that he's gay he answered: "That would be really tacky—they would win if I had to clarify."
ReplyDeleteAnd I wonder, if the father is HIV+, could he pass it on to the child? JGL has two children.
However, the fact that his relationship is so private doesn't necessarily mean he's gay. He says they're very private because she's not a part of the industry and isn't interested in the spotlight.
Hmmmm...
Ughhhh. JGL has 2 kids though...I feel like Enty would have mentioned this.
ReplyDeleteSome Christians are such victims.
ReplyDeleteJosh Peck? Jason Seagul? Fred Savage?
ReplyDeleteDDonna, I used to scoff at the "War on Christianity" claims until I realized that we simply do not see the same level of institutional disrespect from Hollywood and the media towards Judaism, Islam, and other major religions. Folks, the next time you see a story in the news about Christianity or a Hollywood joke about it, think about the reaction it would cause if the same story or joke was about Judaism or Islam. It's really eye-opening.
ReplyDeleteThere was a local news story here last Christmas about a local politician who had her Nativity Scene stolen. The media and comment section trolls treated it like a joke and made the politician seem like a "nutty conspiracy theorist." Do you really think it would have been handled that way if a Menorah was stolen? Acts of disrespect like this are so common now that most people are blind to it.
Keep telling the truth, DDonna. It took me awhile to see it, but I finally came around.
P.S. I've always got a creepy vibe off JGL. If he's not the subject of this blind, then he probably has some other large skeletons in his closet.
@Sadie that’s because it’s culturally acceptable to poke fun at your OWN religion and also the culturally dominant religion in the US. That means Christianity most of the time.
DeleteIt’s not a war on Christianity so much as it is a change from making fun of “the other” (blackface, evil Asians, poor provincial Mexicans, exotic Muslims, sissy gays, nefarious butch women, etc) to making fun of “us.”
But I can see how it would feel shocking or like an attack coming on the heels of a time when it was grossly culturally unacceptable to make fun of Christianity or America.
In Hollywad, about 100 years ago, the same debauchery was happening and finally the people said "enough is enough"!
ReplyDeleteI think history is repeating itself and the people are pretty f'ing sick of it.
I'm not seeing a smoking gun with Joseph Gordon Levitt, I agree with Sign, most people could put his name to his face.
ReplyDelete@Brayson
DeleteI think it’s more that we’re having trouble thinking of people who fit the criteria. I liked Ryan Gosling better for the blind but my perception that people have a hard time fitting his (well known) name to his (well known) face could be wrong.
He seems like the kind of very average looking guy face, but we still see him a lot in the movies.
why do I feel like it's Ryan Gosling
ReplyDeleteHell no. Ryan is foreign born and he's recognisable. Also he has kids but he's not married officially.
DeleteWhy would anyone be surpris ed that some who earns money on Grindr would accept a low payoff? They more than likely not want someone in their family to know, and they agreed to rough sex,so they may have good reason. If you have no money,$20,000 is a lot. Also, they probably found out about the others after the agreement. If this is true, all of them together would have a case.
ReplyDeleteLawyer here. Tell that victim that he was raped and criminal charges can be filed against this actor. The NDA is unenforceable once the DA gets involved and investigates this matter.
ReplyDeleteHOURS later and I am still SO disturbed by this blind. I’m so sorry for you... the victim. I hope you find the strength to truly come forward. ❤️
ReplyDeleteJohnny Depp?
ReplyDeleteI suspect why the victim isn't coming forward and only got $20K is because he accepted money and gave consent for rough sex with someone he'd never met before, which is prostitution. Unfortunately there aren't a lot of legal protections for tricks gone wrong. Now from the story we can tell he was a victim, but a lawyer or publicist could paint quite a different picture. I won't do it here out of respect for the victim.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he or one of the other victims will come forward soon to warn people about this monster so there aren't more victims.
@Brayson You raise a good point especially if the victim is someone with Hollywood aspirations.
DeleteI’d hope that the multiple victims could turn things around in court. There aren’t many protections for prostitutes in states where it’s illegal, but when the prosecution can show a pattern, that’s been known to result in a conviction.
What about Topher Grace?
ReplyDeleteToo many pics with wife.
Deletehttps://duckduckgo.com/?q=topher+Grace+wife&iax=images&ia=images
@YouToo That’s not how parental HIV transmission works. It would be the case only if his wife is HIV+. Which is not necessarily the situation here, particularly if she’s a beard.
ReplyDeleteDDonna - I tend to believe that it's not that Hollywood hates Christianity. It's that "the intellectual elite" hate false piety. There's every bit as much criminal activity and dirty sex among churchy types as in Hollywood, but it's wrapped in a guise of purity to deflect focus.
ReplyDeleteChug - am I correct that an NDA designed to hide criminal activity isn't worth the paper it's written on? Knowingly infecting someone with AIDS is still illegal in CA, but it changed on Jan. 1 from being a felony to a misdemeanor w 6-month prison sentence.
JGL great guess Tricia. Bums me out.
ReplyDelete@Dusty Fairy...I like this guess! BUT I think he is known for being a dick IRL.
ReplyDeleteI'll say Justin Bateman. His movies do "okay" but are never monster hits and he's likable.
ReplyDeleteNope, wife at premiere.
Deletehttp://m.eonline.com/news/892932/jason-bateman-defends-wife-amanda-anka-after-she-accuses-andre-balazs-of-groping-her
Adding to the @YouToo reply:
ReplyDeleteAnd not even then. Doctors know to take precuautions to reduce the risk of HIV+ mothers transmitting the virus to their babies during birth.
ok but what if this is all bullcrap? I mean whatev' but I'm still awaiting my Sarkozy to get whacked by 'The Church', and I'm gonna wait and wait and it's not gonna happen, just sayin!
ReplyDeleteWEAR A FUCKING CONDOM!
ReplyDeleteI mean, I hear HIV being the main reason to wear one, but theres other bad STDs. Like Hepatitis and Herpes. None of that shit gets brought up.
This comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteIt could be Jason Bateman
ReplyDeleteJason Bateman has been pictured with his wife often though.
ReplyDelete"The moment I saw he was in that blasphemous anti-Christmas/anti-Christian "holiday" "comedy" called "The Night Before," with Seth Rogan, I figured JGL was a sick-o. "
ReplyDeleteWhat a stupid fucking cunt you are.
Are you sure jesus is ok with you on a gossip site?
Amen. So vomiting in a church (or making a movie containing holy vomit) is blasphemous, but parking yourself on a gossip site and guessing at people's motivations isn't?
DeleteEven this atheist knows the bible better than that.
I think we are on the wrong track with JGL. MANY people know his name and can put a name to his face. I was thinking it had to be someone with the name recognition of some one like Tate Donovan. Tate doesn't fit because he wasn't acting as a teen. But someone with that mediocre name recognition. Are there any actors anyone can think of who acted as a teen in a hit network show but maybe didn't figure prominently? Or maybe they were a teen long enough ago that their name isn't well known but their face was/is?
ReplyDeleteWhere's Hmmmm when we need them? they could give is a push in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteAlso, enough with the Christian/Anti-Christian debate hijacking a perfectly disgusting blind. Let's all stick to outing the sick fuckers.
If Stormy's lawyer beats back that NDA then we will see all the other NDA's start to fall apart. Ten the shit will really hit the fan.
Final, Final, @DonnaMarie, leave Tricia the fuck alone! She is great on here and a world class babe. Don't piss off my girl!
JGL and his wife and their children (one is about 6 mo) are totally normal. They go to our preschool and could not be more the opposite of this thought. Real family, real relationship. He does parentlng classes. Guess again.
ReplyDeleteNope, i'm not feeling JGL in this. Even though he is way on the DL (his messy relationship with Michael Pitt), my personal interactions with him haven't given me any vibe at all to think he'd do this. Jason Bateman, however, is eepy-cray to me for reasons I can't figure out.
ReplyDeleteYes babies used to be born HIV positive and then grew up with terrible disabilities (used to do service work with them). Then came the medical miracle that doctors learned to manage it provides they know/mothers are tested.
ReplyDelete"A baby can become infected with HIV in the womb, during delivery or while breastfeeding. If the mother does not receive treatment, 25 percent of babies born to women with HIV will be infected by the virus. With treatment that percentage can be reduced to less than 2 percent, according to the March of Dimes."
Michael Pitt?
ReplyDeleteWasn't Pitt a teenager while doing Dawson's creek. Let me go check if he works for this.
ReplyDeleteWhat part of that blind fits Michael? He is not married, sadly he's not well liked, and he is always public with his relationships. He's bi and quiet about it, had a relationship with JGL once, yet you JGL stans cannot leave him the fuck alone, can you?
Delete@K, I don't think it is JGL or Jason Bateman. They both have good name recognition.
ReplyDeletePlus, about five years ago I was seated close to JB at a BH restaurant for lunch. He was eating with a pretty woman. Since I had a minor celeb crush on him at the time, I went home and tried to figure out who the woman was. Turned out it was his wife! He was meeting his wife for lunch, which is so sweet! He seemed very attentive and into her. I didn't get a gay vibe at all.
Why does everyone just assume this is JGL because princess Tricia guessed it? Lemmings...
ReplyDeleteOkay little man, what is YOUR brilliant suggestion? Hmmm? We'll wait.
Delete(probably forever)
I’m gonna roll withe JGL guess for a minute. Inception was definitely box office and look who was in that movie with him... π€ seems like he could fit based on the clues. Paging Himmmm!
ReplyDeleteomg
ReplyDeletethis has to be joseph gordon levitt
shit. this is horrific and CANNOT be kept secret. I hope he gets some serious karma and all of this gets out in the open
can't think of anyone else this could be besides jgl...what a shame
ReplyDeleteI don't think this is JGL or JB.
ReplyDeleteAs much as it would be a headsmacker if it was either they only half fit. JGL is too well known and recognizeable even though he has been Oscar's bridesmaid. Bateman has never been close to an Oscar. Gotta be someone else and probably too deep in the closet to be on anyone's gaydar what with the rough-stuff.
It's not JGL. I asked a mutual friend we have in common. He's happily married. Not a violent rapist
ReplyDeleteBefore I get dragged, I'm not trying to sound pompous or "connected", I just know a guy, who knows.
ReplyDeleteA NDA is invalid if used to cover up a crime, which knowingly exposing someone to HIV without informing them is. The inclusion of a clause specifically protecting the predator from STD liability screams consciousness of guilt. Slam dunk. The supposed victim's attorney would have known that. I'm surprised the supposed attorney running this site doesn't. This is utter BS.
ReplyDelete@JD No longer a crime in CA.
DeleteI agree that since JGL seemed to check off the boxes, wenhave gotten guess-blind. It may or may not be JGL. Hoping we have some other VALID guesses.
@signnamebelow. Agreed. There is a tendency for everyone to affirm someone's guess cause it sounds too good and then next thing you know everyone takes it for fact. I'd like to hear some new names be thrown out. Always seems like these blinds end up being someone obscure.
ReplyDeleteIt IS still a crime to knowingly infect someone with AIDS (or any other STD) in California. It used to be a felony but as of Jan. 1, 2018 it was downgraded to a misdemeanor. It carries a 6-month prison sentence.
ReplyDeleteIncorrect Someone Else. The law was changed, reducing it from a felony, but it's still a crime, and invalidates any NDA.
ReplyDelete"The new law, which was signed by Brown on Oct. 6 and takes effect January 1, changes this to a misdemeanor, carrying a 6-month prison term — the same punishment as knowingly exposing someone to other communicable diseases."
https://www.nbcnews.com/feature/nbc-out/new-california-law-reduces-penalty-knowingly-exposing-someone-hiv-n809416
Whoops.. that was meant for Sign Name Below. Another thing, even this reduction of severity didn't take effect until just a few months ago (Jan 1). The blind states there are multiple others the supposed predator targeted also. Not all of them could have occurred after the 1st of the year, and the supposed victim's attorney knows who they are. This blind is so ridiculous it's laughable.
ReplyDeleteMy only issue with this blind is that the guy was on "Grindr" and said he only had sex with one guy. I thought people go on Grindr and Tinder to fuck like rabbits?
ReplyDeleteNot saying his story is not true, just saying that part is kinda bullshit
I think you misread. The victim only had unprotected sex with the actor. Not that it was only him the victim was involved with. Even then, after experiencing that I probably wouldn’t want to sleep with someone for a long time ..
DeleteWhen I was younger I was a fan, but ever since 500 Days of Summer and when he hosted SNL, he's rubbed me the wrong way. He seems very smug and self satisfied and if this blind is true, he needs to be brought down.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing worse than a self righteous Christian Is an atheist.
ReplyDeleteHi Rosie!
Deleteπ heeyyyy SNB
DeleteThe only thing worse than an atheist is a self righteous Christian.
ReplyDeleteHow about Michael Cera?
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteGuesses so far-
ReplyDeleteJoaquin Phoenix- not married
Jason Bateman- seen with wife frequently, stars in mainstream movies more than indies
Ryan Gosling- Sexiest Man Alive means most people know his name
Christian Bale- star of huge box office hits; even more well-known than RG
Michael Pitt- I don't personally recognize him but perhaps most people do, however he is not married
Johnnie Depp- wrong across the board
Topher Grace- snapped with his wife often. Also, I don't think he fits the description of "everyone likes him." Probably not him. Not ruled out
Fred Savage- mostly tv and scant indie credits
Jason Segal- doesn't seem to be married
Josh Peck- not mainly indie actor nor has he had any roles that generated any Oscar buzz, does everyone know his face?
Jared Leto- um, no. First of all, he fails the "everybody likes him" test. Not married.
Jonathan Tucker- most people would not know his face, and started in movies, not tv
Keifer Sutherland- π
Chris Pine- (at this point I'm getting cranky) ...no. Literally fails every single description.
Ben Foster- (finally a guess that does not make me want to bash something) I don't personally believe he fits the every likes him description and I can't remember him as a lead in any indie but it could be true. Not ruled out.
Giovanni Ribisi- (okay he wasn't a guess per se but he was mentioned and is better than many of the above guesses but is divorced so does not fit)
Freddie Prinze Jr- not primarily indie actor, no Oscar-buzz roles, did not get start as teen in tv hit
Travolta- ....
I thought of Billy Crudup but he doesn't fit the blind either. For the hell of it, checked Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Harry Dean Stanton, John C. Reilly. They don't fit or ate dead. Before Avengers, I would have suggested Mark Ruffalo, or (if he wasn't dead) PSH. At this point, I have run out of ideas. I have read multiple lists of indie actors.
This one is haunting me.
Michael Cera is not married
DeleteMichael Cera had a long term girlfriend named Nadine. They allegedly married very quietly.
ReplyDelete@lutefisk
DeleteYou're right! They just got secretly married. Do you think that would work for the "always leaves his wife at home, wven for premieres" part? I think Enty would have called her an SO or longtime GF or something? He's certainly likeable. But I don't know. I don't see it personally and I think the wife thing is still wrong for him but cannot rule him out
A top for guessing. When I'm really trying to figure out a blind I sometimes use Lainey's "celebrity" list at her website because it's pretty extensive. I'm too lazy. I don't want to jump on the JGL bandwagon, but noticed the main problem with many other guesses is the "likeability" factor. What about soap actors like Josh Duhamel or Jonathan Taylor Thomas, not strong guesses but something different.
ReplyDeleteThis comment has been removed by the author.
ReplyDeleteEveryone knows Joseph Gordon Levitt's name and face. Enty, or whomever, is talking to people who he knows is of that generation. I'm thinking of someone who's name is obscure, yet his face is remembered, probably from when he was a teen. Maybe someone like Ian Ziering from 90210, but he hasn't headlined movies, I don't think.
ReplyDeleteHow about Jonathan Rhys Meyers?
ReplyDeleteWho knew he was married?
Sam Huntington?
DeleteJamie Bell?
J Taylor Thomas- no indie or Oscar-buzzy credits
ReplyDeleteJ Rhys Meyers-did not get start on tv (side note, his wife is smoking hot)
Josh Duhamel- his wife was everywhere w him and almost no indie credits
Ian Ziering- those Sharknado films were really unappreciated by the Academy!
I am getting dopey. I checked put Bruce Greenwood, Aaron Ekhart, Bruce Campbell (don't @me!), about 1/2 dozen other actors I remember w solid indie cred. Of course, none fit.
ReplyDeleteI still feel JGL. I hope this gets revealed and I really do send well-wishes and prayers to this victim.
I meant "a tip" for guessing
ReplyDelete
